Martial Peak: Origin Chaos Emperor

Chapter 4: Ch 4: Enlightenment

Wang Feng looked transfixed at the token for a minute before he took a deep breath, "well, here goes nothing.", saying that he clinched the token, causing it to shatter and turn into light particles that entered Wang Feng's body.

The instant Wang Feng crushed the token, the world lost it color and everything came to an abrupt stop. Simultaneously, Wang Feng felt his thinking speed shoot through the roof. He felt his perception increasing as if he could see the entire world.

His senses expanded outwards, covering the entire small world, the Tong Xuan Realm, the Star Field, reaching the Star Boundary and spreading throughout the Outer Universe before hitting a metaphorical wall.

Wang Feng felt all that knowledge enter into his mind, his mind processing all that knowledge at a godly speed. Wang Feng felt as if each and every secret of the entire reality was laid bare in front of him.

He saw the various treasures, places and people. He saw the Dragon Emperor Inheritance, the Soul Warming Lotus, the Tong Xuan Realm and Seal, the Starry Sky, the various worlds, the Immortal Tree, the Ancestral Land, the emperor artifacts and the seal on the Starry Sky, the ancient demon seal, the various small inheritance realms, the soul mirror, the divine spirits, the Great Emperors, the ancient wilderness land in Star Boundary, the outer verse, the Great Ruins Boundary, the World Tree, The Cave Heavens and Paradises and much more.

At that exact moment, Wang Feng suddenly felt as if someone, something was looking at him from everywhere. This person or thing's gaze gave him an ancient, overbearing and calculating aura. Although this was the first time Wang Feng felt this gaze, he instinctively knew to whom/what that gaze belonged to.

"Heavenly DAO.", Wang Feng muttered while his body shook on it's own. Wang Feng felt the gaze look at him, scanning him, for a few minutes before he felt the gaze disappear.

"*Haah* *Haah*...", Wang Feng breathed heavily, still finding it difficult to get over the feeling of being seen through from before. After a few seconds, he calmed down and focused on the scenery he could feel and 'see' because of his enlightenment.

"Whoa! Incredible. It's all just ...", Wang Feng was left breathless at what he could 'see'. A few seconds passed as Wang Feng came out of the trance and started to utilize his extended perception to observe in detail the various things he could 'see'.

"So that's how it is...", in this state Wang Feng felt that he could easily create the strongest technique, one that would be custom made for him. With just a look at himself through his perception, he could deduce an outline for that technique. But.

"It would be a waste to make just a technique with this opportunity.", Wang Feng spoke. After feeling everything, he became aware of many MANY stuff, including some things that he felt he should fix if he wanted to truly become the strongest, otherwise he might get limited at a certain point.

With that in mind, he started to fully focus and dived into comprehending various stuff that he knew would help him in his goal.

He used his perception to thoroughly study the human body, down to the smallest particle. He then moved to studying the monster races, the demon race and the various other races, noting their differences and similarities.

After that, he moved to the Cultivation Realms and Tiers of all the races. From Tempering Body Realm to Open Heaven Realm.

He then moved onto the worlds. He studied the small worlds, the cultivation stars, the star fields, the universe worlds and even the 3000 world or as Wang Feng dubbed it, the Chaos Universe.

After all that, he started to work on what he wanted, integrating what he thought should be added into it, which would make the best use of the world's laws into what he was making.

After an unknown amount of time, through which Wang Feng went up and beyond regarding what he wanted to do, the world started to regain it's color and the surroundings 'came back to life'.

Wang Feng slowly opened his closed eyes, his eyes shining with a mysterious light, as if his eyes had seen everything in the universe, which they had actually did.

Wang Feng released a heavy sigh and revealed a content and excited smile. Simultaneously, he felt the effects of the enlightenment slowly wear off. His perception and senses started to returned to normal, along with his brain's thinking capabilities.

"*Arghhhhhhhhhh*", Wang Feng suddenly screamed in pain and clinched onto his head and started thrashing around, as his eyes widened and his pupils dilated because of the sudden unbearable pain. He felt his brain burn and throb so much that he felt it would burst in a second.

His instincts took over as he utilized his vaining senses and started to forcefully expel the unimaginable amount of information currently in his mind.

He started to forget much of the things he had seen, the secrets he had peeked at, the many techniques he had 'borrowed' by observing individuals and scrolls, and many other knowledge he had gained.

Only after he continued to forget many things, which left behind a handful of stuff, did his pain started to lessened.

The reason of this happening was simple, he had so much information stored in his mind that his mind began to collapse. After all, he was still a Tempering Body Realm Martial Artist with no excess to his soul, whereas the unimaginable amount of information in his mind would have been enough to overload even the soul of an Open Heaven Realm Cultivator.

Now, the only things left behind in his mind were the things he had consciously safeguarded.

After a few moments, the pain reached a bareable level that brought respite to his screams. "*Huff* *Huff* *Huff*", Wang Feng was breathing heavily as he laid down on the bed, facing the ceiling. His head still throbbed in pain, making him feel fuzzy.

Suddenly, a sound echoed in his brain but he didn't register that sound in the slightest because of his current state.

"*Huff* .... *Huff* .... *Huff*.....", slowly Wang Feng started to lose consciousness and drifted off to sleep, feeling too tired because of the pain.

....

"hmm .. *Argh*, the hell, what happened to me, it feels as if a bunch of horses galloped over my head.", The next morning Wang Feng woke up again with massive headache as he grabbed his head.

Suddenly, he remembered what happened before he had unknowingly fallen asleep. He quickly sat up and closed his eyes to focus on the knowledge still present in his mind.

"*Feuu* fortunately it's all still here, otherwise... I would have honestly started crying or started cursing everything, haha.", Wang Feng felt relived to find that all important knowledge he had compiled was still there.

Among the knowledge, there were many basic techniques about various elements and human body.

Then there was a technique he had made to cultivate his Physique along the path he had desired while in the state of enlightenment. Excluding all these, only left two more things.

The first one was a New Completely Modified Cultivation System. Yes, a new cultivation system. As he was observing the entire reality in his enlightened state, he saw some ways to increase the effectiveness of the Cultivation System, along with eliminating the flaws it held.

So he utilized his mind, his previous life memories and his institution to modify the Cultivation System. He had wanted to completely change it at first, but encountered resistance from the Will Of The Reality/Heavenly DAO.

So in the end, he had to modify the Cultivation System till a level, where he wouldn't face any form of resistance from the Will. This caused a few things to remain as they were while he had either strengthened or changed the rest of the things according to what he felt was the best.

{For more detail, read the auxiliary chapter about Cultivation Realms.}

As for the other thing, it was a cultivation technique for his personal use, the Origin Chaos Technique. It was a particular set of technique that followed his newly modified cultivation system.

"*Haah* with this I will be able to truly reach the Peak and maybe even beyond it.", Wang Feng revealed a smile full of yearning, feeling beyond excited for the future. It was still his dream to be the strongest, the memories of his previous life just provided him a way forward, his core remained the same.

{A-Note: The MC only had a few memories of his previous life, which mostly included knowledge of novels and such. So his core fundamental were formed in regards to this life.}

He shook his head, "that's still too far right now. I should focus on increasing my realm...". He then thought to himself, "according to the new system, I should be at the peak of the 3rd stage Body Forging Realm. So, to enter the next stage, I'll need to open one of my main meridians."

According to his Modified Cultivation System, the Tempering Body Realm or the Body Forging Realm as he named it, is divided into 9 stages. In the first three stages, the martial artist needs to temper his own body through various body tempering exercises.

After reaching the peak of the third stage, the martial artist needs to practice a special technique, which was one of the many techniques he had gained from his enlightenment, that would allow him to open the 9 main meridians in his body.

This step also consisted of 3 Stages(4-6 stage Body Forging Realm) and 3 meridians would be opened each stage, each meridian would enhance the body of the martial artist to some extent. But the effect of these would help the cultivator in later stages, so the enhancement is quite small.

After opening all 9 meridians, the martial artist will reach the Peak 6th stage Body Forging Realm and will be able to feel the Heaven and Earth Qi, which will passively start to pass through the martial artist's body.

In the next step, which also consisted of 3 Stages(7-9 stage Body Forging Realm), the martial artist will need to connect all the 9 meridians in a specific sequence. This would be done by condensing Pulses in the body, each pulse will serve as a pathway for the Qi to travel between the meridians.

Wang Feng stood up from his bed and stretched up a bit. He looked at the door of his cabin, "I regained my memories yesterday and haven't exited my cabin since."

Although he already knew how the world was, the prospect still felt exciting to him, most definitely because of the influence of his past life. A life in which he had yearned to roam around this ancient world.

Stepping in front of the door, Wang Feng raised his hand towards the handle of the door. "Well, here goes.", Taking a small breath, Wang Feng turned the handle and slowly pushed the door.
