MARTIAL UNIVERSE: The strongest

Chapter 14: Heading out for a mission

The past week had been rather busy for Gojo. Call it a seclusion or whatever, but he hadn't left his Voidforge Dimension even for a break. All his time had been spent in the hall of Refinement, enduring torturous training for days on end. At this point, he didn't even care about the pain any longer. Of course, it still hurt like a bitch, but he found it therapeutic for some reason.

Not only that, seeing the shards up close allowed his six eyes to gleam insights into the concept itself, which was already the greatest benefit he could ask for.

He found that, the more time he spent getting his body torn apart and damaged continuously, he didn't just strengthen or fortify his body. Instead he felt his mind and will sharpen substantially. He focus became even clearer. In this place he could forget about the outside world and just focus on what he truly wanted - strength.

Raw, absolute strength. He never wanted to be vulnerable. He never wanted to be weak, he never wanted to be at a disadvantage. This mentality pushed him to endure the pain and torture. Anytime he thought about quitting, he cast his mind back to his time on Earth when he was sealed in the prison realm.

He cast his mind back to the people who had lost their lives at the train station in Shibuya. The people who had died when Sukuna went on a fucking rampage across the city. They didn't die because they were good or bad people, they died because they were weak.

In the end morality was just a pathetic excuse for the weak to protect themselves from a nasty fate. He didn't want to fall into this category.

He didn't want to be the one who had to depend on his morality to live. He wanted to be the one who could do whatever the hell he wanted and still get away because he was strong. He wanted to be the one others looked up to because of his power.

He knew it would isolate him, he knew they would not get to understand his personality or his true feelings or whatever, but he didn't care. In the end none of it was going to matter. In the end only the strong prevailed.

He sharpened his mind and focus, as the shards tore into his skin, drawing blood with slash, yet he did not even groan or whimper in pain.

After several hours of the intense training/ torture, he teleported back to his room, covered in silver blood stains and slumped to the floor in exhaustion. Three days and three nights. It was already morning. He looked down at the tattoo on his chest and smiled seeing his progress.

He would never grow tired of the feeling of advancing in strength and breaking through his limits. He was addicted to it. Addicted to progress. He laughed, and pulled out his Qiankun bag, before beginning to absorb the hundreds of spirit stones and dozens of Pure Yuan Pills he had received from MeiYing, the ice cold fortress.

In less than an hour, he had popped about 7 Pure Yuan pills into his mouth and refined them and had absorbed more than 50 spiritual stones. His dantian and the tattoo on his chest greedily absorbed the influx of Yuan Power. More and more strands of pure Yuan power formed within his now massive Yuan power seed which was now covered in intricate tattoos. He already passed the prerequisites to break through to the 8th level of the body tempering realm, yet he refused to, and instead, used the residual energy to temper his Yuan power, further increasing its quality.

After a while, he cleaned up the bloodstains off the floor and rushed into the bathhouse to clean up. He finished quickly and dressed up. He walked up to a small wooden box and took out a pair of dark black opaque shades from within. Du Yun had helped him get them from one of the sect's forgers for a heavy price of course.

It was elegant and neat, with black gold frames that were inscribed with unique gravings. With a smile, he gently put it on, cutting off all sources of light to his eyes, cutting down the perception of the six eyes by 40 percent. It was wondrous as it looked amazing.

He straightened his attire in he mirror with a smirk and walked out with a piece of bread in his pocket. Today he decided not to go sell desserts at his stand, rather he decided it was time for him to go out on a sect mission by himself, you know for the fun of it and for the bountiful rewards he would reap.

He walked through the streets of the outer court, headed to the Mission Hall, and wherever he passed by, everyone was stunned when they gazed upon him. Of course most of them already knew him, he was quite infamous now even in the inner sect.

Yet when they looked at him, his aura felt unfathomably mysterious, as if layered with an almost otherworldly presence. It was as if he was walking on the earth, yet he wasn't. The bystanders who gazed upon him didn't understand it either. Gojo smiled and shook his head at their interested looks yet he walked by without saying anything.

Upon reaching the Missions Hall, he entered and walked straight to the reception, and there, a young lolli was seated with a bored expression, while twisting and twirling her hair in her hands. Gojo smiled as he spotted her, she kinda reminded him of that lolli from Kyoto Jujutsu High.

'Was it Momo?' He wondered her name as memories of her flashed in his mind.

"Hello!" Gojo ignored all the looks from the bystanders and waved his hand enthusiastically at the young cute lolli.

"Oh! Height: Check. Skin: check: Face: Double check! And blindfold? You are Chen Zhen aren't you?" She nearly screamed in excitement when she saw him which almost freaked him out. And on top of that, she began to check him out weirdly. Kinda reminded him when he was back on Earth.

Him putting someone like Luo Ping in his place seemed to have earned him the respect of almost all the outer court disciples as well as an increase in fame, and the blindfold was a signature look now. Damn, he felt like K-Pop idol.

"In the flesh!" Gojo reciprocated her energy before posing and laughing comically. Keeping such an attitude was key for a psychopath like himself, otherwise, he would've gone crazy from the loneliness he felt in his previous world or he might go insane from the torturous training he subjected himself to every single day.

"Sorry, I couldn't come try your desserts. I heard they're wonderful." She pouted with an apologetic look, and Gojo merely laughed.

"You're in luck. I brought a little something for ya.." No he didn't. Well, he did pack something, but it wasn't meant for her. Who knew, she could be the daughter of some elder for all he knew. He reached out to his Qiankun bag and took out several bowls of ice cream and a box of doughnuts he made himself. Food supply for the mission.

"Woah! They look amazing. How much for everything?" She asked, bouncing in joy, as she tasted the ice cream.

"Everything is on the house.." Gojo posed with a smile. Karma was no bitch. What goes around will most definitely come around one way or the other.

Two bubbly energies, two kindred souls, enjoyed sweets and bonded together until a dead, ice cold voice sounded out from behind them.

"Since you're going around sharing your desserts, I might have have to ask for a refund.."

Gojo quickly recognised the voice and deadpanned. The bubbliness and cheeriness from a moment ago, disappeared instantly, as if he was a balloon that had been popped.

MeiYing walked out of the crowd, with her lackeys behind her, dressed in a black gold tight robe that accentuated her curvy figure. On seeing her, Gojo couldn't help but scan her figure for a moment and he admitted deep down. She was a real eye candy.

"Bastard! Do you want me to gouge out your eyes!!" When they noticed Gojo's raw and provocative gaze lingering around the figure of their goddess, one of the lackeys roared out in annoyance, clenching his fists tightly.

Gojo's gaze snapped to the thug looking youth who almost looked like he wanted to bite him.

"Gouge out my eyes? What are you, a human trafficker? That's is fucking horrible mate.."

Now that Gojo thought about it, Utahime used to give him the same kind of looks before she did something outrageous like chugging a glass of water at him, or throwing her shoe or something.

A/N: Come on guys. We need Powerstones. We can climb up to those rankings as well. Keep adding the book to your collection. I don't know why, but Webnovel hasn't still recommended my fanfic on its page. And it's not the first too. It happened with the Sasuke fic and others.

We'll need all the help we can get🙏
