Chapter 37: CHAPTER 37
The Supreme Intelligence received the catastrophic reports as Ragna obliterated the first Kree Empire planet.
Immediately, the Supreme Council within the vast intelligence network of the Kree's organic supercomputer convened in a state of crisis. After intense deliberation, a critical decision was reached.
No Kree fleets would be dispatched to attack Faith Star in the Andromeda Galaxy.
The Supreme Intelligence understood Ragna 's mindset—he cared little for Faith Stars themselves. If that had been his true goal, he would have unleashed his full cosmic might, reducing Angel Star to ashes in an instant.
No one wanted to provoke a cosmic force of nature.
A warrior who could destroy entire worlds at will, warp space on a galactic scale, and fight relentlessly without tiring was not an enemy the Kree could afford to enrage further.
Instead of escalating the conflict, the Supreme Intelligence prioritized establishing communication with the increasingly unstable Ragna while issuing an empire-wide withdrawal order. The Kree forces abandoned their battle against the Angel Legions, leaving the Shi'ar Imperial Guard to fend for themselves against Keisha's army.
From the Kree's perspective, if they could not seize the secret of space-warping technology, nor eliminate Ragna outright, there was no reason to allow the Shi'ar to capitalize on the aftermath.
The Shi'ar Imperial Guard quickly realized their predicament but expressed no surprise. In the vast cosmos, morality held no sway over interstellar warfare—only power and survival dictated alliances.
The Shi'ar Empire's high command scrambled to deploy reinforcements, spending vast amounts of energy to activate long-range spatial teleportation arrays. However, instead of joining the fight, the new arrivals merely secured the remaining Imperial Guard survivors and ceased hostilities with the Angels.
This war was over.
The Kree Empire Surrenders
When Ragna moved his Fixed Star and obliterated the twenty-third Kree planet, the Supreme Intelligence finally caught up—manifesting through a cybernetic Kree envoy, transmitting a formal offer of reconciliation.
Ragna paused, allowing the Fixed Star to drift once more.
The Kree Empire, spanning the entirety of the Magellanic Cloud, radiated its influence across multiple galaxies. Its administrative centers, resource-rich planets, and industrial powerhouses numbered in the tens of thousands.
Even if Ragna destroyed one world per minute without rest, he would need over ten days to shatter the entire Kree infrastructure.
Moreover, as he advanced deeper into their systems, the defenses grew exponentially stronger. Evacuations of key assets were already underway. Further destruction would eventually yield diminishing returns.
Above all, if this war escalated to mutual destruction, Angel Star itself would not withstand a prolonged galactic retaliation.
Victory had already been achieved—the combined forces of two empires had fallen, and Ragna now stood at the negotiating table, ready to claim his prize.
Ragna and Dou Jian ceased their duel. With a flick of his hand, the Space Stone tore open the fabric of reality, transporting the Fixed Star back to its original position before the two warriors returned to Angel Star.
Ragna 's golden eyes flicked over the Angel Legion, still in formation—but notably thinned.
A brief flicker of discomfort passed through him.
He said nothing.
But in his mind, he had already resolved to revive them quickly. Strengthen them. Gather more faith. Expand their power.
This could never happen again.
Galactic Negotiations
Dou Jian's posture remained confident, but the arrogance that once radiated from his being had faded.
Glancing at Ragna , he gave a silent nod, acknowledging both his defeat and the necessity of a truce.
Meanwhile, the Shi'ar High Command observed how the Kree had abandoned their forces.
Dou Jian said nothing about the betrayal—he had expected it. Instead, his focus was on one thing only: negotiations.
The Supreme Intelligence had concluded that fighting Ragna was impossible—containing him even less so.
With remarkable decisiveness, it offered compensation:
• Wealth? Granted.
• Territory? Surrendered.
The Kree officially relinquished control over most of the former Skrull Empire's domain, ceding those systems to the Holy Heavenly Palace.
To Ragna , they meant little—but they were his now.
The Shi'ar Empire's Response
The Shi'ar, however, were far more unyielding than the Kree.
Unlike the Kree's calculating pragmatism, the Shi'ar Throneworld held firm, unwilling to surrender so easily. They possessed both the strength and the will to fight.
But then, Ragna brought forth his trump card.
With an almost casual gesture, he transported an entire Fixed Star into Shi'ar space, detonating a planetary system like cosmic fireworks.
The message was clear.
Even though the Shi'ar possessed vast legions, even though their Imperial Guard was formidable, even though they could retaliate with devastating force, none of it mattered—because they could not stop Ragna from setting their empire ablaze.
Though they possessed cross-galactic teleportation technology, it was nowhere near as efficient as what Ragna wielded.
In the end, they could not stop him from his cosmic pyrotechnics.
Of course, neither could Ragna prevent Shi'ar retaliation if war continued.
After a tense stand-off, an agreement was reached—a balance of destruction mutually assured.
With both sides acknowledging their ability to annihilate each other, a temporary ceasefire was agreed upon.
A Temporary Peace
The Shi'ar ceded control over segments of the former Skrull Empire and offered a significant arsenal of warships and weapons as compensation for their destruction of Ragna 's Ravager allies.
In return, Ragna signed non-aggression pacts with both the Shi'ar and the Kree.
Of course, treaties between intergalactic empires were nothing but words.
But as long as all three factions lacked the ability to completely erase one another, peace—for now—was the logical outcome.
The two great empires withdrew their fleets, and Angel Star quietly began clearing the battlefield, preparing for an era of rapid expansion and consolidation.
Ragna 's Dilemma
And yet… something bothered Ragna .
Despite having utterly crushed a coalition of two of the galaxy's mightiest civilizations, despite having drifted through Kree space with a sun, despite eradicating twenty-three planets with ease…
His mission was still incomplete.
Why?
Perhaps… the destruction had been too swift.
Perhaps… his enemies had died before they even realized what was happening.
Perhaps… the galaxy itself had not yet fully grasped his supremacy.
The Kree and Shi'ar, no doubt, would never advertise his victories to the universe.
So what then?
How could Ragna ensure his name resounded across the stars?
If no one else would spread the legend of his might…
Then he would simply have to find a way to do it himself.
