Marvel: AS A PRINCE IN ASGARD

Chapter 51: CHAPTER 51

Ragna 's eyes narrowed.

He was ready.

Supergiant would die.

A mere thought, and he would erase her existence—

But then—

An image flickered to life from her bracelet.

A majestic throne appeared, floating in the void.

Seated upon it was a colossal figure, his form wreathed in shadow and power.

Golden armor gleamed under unseen light, and in one hand, he gripped a long blade, in the other, a scepter adorned with an eerie yellow gem.

The Mad Titan and the God-King

Thanos and Ragna .

Two cosmic forces.

At long last—

They stood face to face.

For Ragna , this was a moment that had lurked in the recesses of his mind since his very ascension—

A nightmare, now manifested into reality.

For Thanos, however, there was no fear, no hesitation.

He remained unchanged, his presence eternal, his will absolute.

But—

Ragna was no longer weak.

No longer afraid.

Seated upon the Heavenly Throne, Ragna gazed down at the Mad Titan.

And then—

He spoke, his voice carrying through the vastness of space itself.

"If you think this image alone can spare her life—"

His golden eyes bore into Thanos' own.

"Then you are sorely mistaken."

"Why not come in person?"

"Better yet, why not come to Angel Star and face me?"

A pause.

Then—

"If you can defeat me, not only will I spare Supergiant—"

Ragna leaned forward, his divine aura crackling around him.

"I will hand over every world under my rule."

Silence.

Then, Thanos smiled.

Not mocking—

But genuine amusement.

He lifted his head, his titanic presence unwavering, and finally spoke.

"You are not Tivian."

A cryptic statement, yet filled with meaning.

"And you are not my target."

His deep voice rumbled like the shifting of planets.

"A battle between us, here, on Angel Star?"

A slow shake of the head.

"Even I may not walk away from that."

His eyes flickered over Valina and Lian Bing, the commanders of the Angel Legions, their power rivaling even celestial beings.

And then—

His gaze settled on Holy Kaisha, the First Angel Legion's Supreme Commander, a warrior whose name was feared across the cosmos.

The forces under Ragna 's rule were too formidable.

Even for him.

Thanos was not a fool.

He had no interest in throwing himself into the abyss before his mission was complete.

Thanos' Philosophy

"Lord of the Heavenly Palace—"

Thanos' voice carried a weight that pressed against the soul itself.

"Do you understand this universe?"

He raised the scepter, the Mind Stone flickering at its tip.

"The universe is finite. Its resources are finite. And so, all life must be balanced."

His voice was measured, absolute—a man who had long accepted the burden of his truth.

"If left unchecked, all life will consume itself into oblivion."

"What I do—"

"Is mercy."

His glowing eyes bore into Ragna 's own.

"Ragna —would you join me?"

The air around them seemed to tighten.

"Together, we could achieve balance faster than ever before."

A pause.

"With our combined might—"

"No one in this universe could stand in our way."

"We would become fate itself."

The Mind Stone pulsed, releasing a subtle wave of energy.

A whispering temptation—

A force capable of swaying even the strongest of wills.

Ragna 's Will

Yet—

Ragna merely narrowed his eyes.

Then—

Snap!

With a single flick of his hand, the illusory whispers shattered like fragile glass.

His gaze honed in on the scepter—

The weapon that had bent so many to Thanos' cause.

His voice was low, cold.

"Is that how you deceived them?"

"Did you twist their minds until they believed in your madness?"

Thanos laughed, a deep, rumbling sound.

He lifted the scepter—

And cast it aside.

Ebony Maw stepped forward, catching it with practiced grace.

"That stone?"

Thanos chuckled.

"Merely a tool."

His massive hand gestured to Maw, the telekinetic master, and Supergiant, the legendary telepath.

"You think such a thing could break their wills?"

"They follow because they have seen."

His expression turned somber, resolute.

"They have witnessed balance."

His voice grew softer—yet no less powerful.

"Countless civilizations, once on the brink, now thriving."

"The chaos of unchecked life—replaced with peace."

His fist clenched.

"My philosophy is not wrong."

A slow breath.

"The only mistake—"

"Is that I alone bear its burden."

His voice became a whisper.

"I alone carry the sins of balance."

His eyes burned.

"I alone… am destiny."

Ragna 's Challenge

A low chuckle.

Then—

Ragna sneered.

"Destiny?"

His golden eyes pierced through Thanos' claim.

"Tell me, Titan—"

He leaned forward.

"Do you love the universe?"

"Or do you love only life itself?"

His voice grew sharper.

"Do you serve the universe? Or do you serve its inhabitants?"

The weight of the question hung in the air.

Even the Blue Spirit Tribe, who had begun to relax, once again found themselves paralyzed with fear.

Because—

This was Thanos.

The Mad Titan.

A name that carried infinite destruction in its wake.

Silence stretched.

Finally—

Thanos exhaled.

His voice was quiet—

But firm.

"A house, no matter how grand, is meaningless if no one lives in it."

A pause.

"But when too many live within it—"

His gaze grew distant.

"It collapses under its own weight."

His eyes hardened.

"I will not allow that to happen."

A slow breath.

"My actions are necessary."

His eyes met Ragna 's once more.

"Join me."

His voice was steady, unwavering.

"After balance is achieved—"

A flicker of something deeper.

"The universe is yours."

"All belief, all worship—will be yours."

His voice lowered.

"You will be its true Supreme Master."

"All it will take—"

A final whisper.

"Is a little pain."

He extended a hand.

"Time will erase their suffering."

"In the end, they will only remember—"

"That it was you who brought them salvation."

A moment of absolute stillness.

Then—

Thanos smiled.

"So, Ragna —"

His eyes gleamed.

"Shall we?"
