Kagura stood frozen in place, desperately trying to piece together what had happened during her last attempt.

She should have been protected—wrapped in layers of invisible pure energy shields, clad in the vibranium-grade defensive power of the "White Moon" combat suit.

And yet... this queen named Nihility had finished the battle in a single moment.

Kagura hadn't even registered how the attack had come.

What the hell...?

Was she really that strong...?

Before her, Miss Nihility made no effort to pursue or attack.

She simply stood, high above in the sky, leisurely walking along those nearly invisible steps, casting a look of cold disdain down at the confused and helpless Kagura.

Golden eyes, sharp as blades. Silver hair flowing weightlessly.

Aloof. Indifferent. Radiating the absolute authority of a queen.

Honestly... this Miss Nihility was really cool.

"Ahem!"

Snapping herself out of her trance, Kagura shook her head, clearing away the wandering thoughts.

But the fact remained—she had no idea how she died.

Was it a strike so fast she couldn't even react?

A distant energy beam undetectable by sensors?

Some sort of psychic attack that killed without touching?

"Fuuuuh—"

Kagura let out a slow, deep breath, her gaze sharpening with focus.

Thinking alone wouldn't change anything. And if she froze in fear, how could she ever overcome the queenly figure standing above—the other version of herself?

With her command, a new layer of armor spread over her body, fine as dragon scales—seamless and gleaming.

On the back of her left hand, matter-energy conversion formed a thick, heavy shield.

This was her anti-Thanos configuration—the ultimate defensive setup she had designed to counteract the Mad Titan's colossal warblade, the one that had famously shattered Captain America's vibranium shield like plywood.

Her armor was reinforced to the limit—tougher than the Mark 51 Iron Man suit—with an energy shield so dense it bordered on indestructible.

It should have been able to withstand any known attack.

In this mode, almost the entirety of the suit's power supply was focused purely on defense.

Even if Thanos himself struck with the Power Stone, this shield configuration should've been enough to block him.

"That last one was just a fluke. The real fight starts now!"

Kagura muttered, channeling dimensional arcane energy into her vibranium blade.

"Let's see what you're really hiding!"

Before her, the Nihility clone only looked down silently, utterly calm.

She gazed upon the silver-haired girl, so full of spirit and fire, with eyes filled with something close to pity—an expression that said how foolish.

"Hmph. Foolish human... Did you think that just because you were lucky enough to receive the Soul Stone's gift and gain that powerful android body... you could win any battle just by brute force alone?"

"How naïve. In the end, you're still human. If you want to win—stop underestimating the rules of the world."

'Boom—!'

Kagura struck like lightning.

Thanks to the "Charged 3D Maneuvering System," her speed burst to the extreme—closing the distance in a flash.

Shield raised, indestructible armor engaged, sword gripped tight—she swung her blade with all her might.

"Show me! Let's see what you're hiding behind that smug expression!"

And then... her golden eyes widened in horror.

The world froze.

"...Eh?"

Her body locked in mid-swing.

And in the moment of her second death, Kagura finally understood.

A heartbeat later—her silver-haired form disintegrated into countless fragments, vanishing into the endless void of space.

Floating in the void, Miss Nihility allowed a faint, amused smile to curl at the corner of her lips.

With another sharp gasp, Kagura's eyes snapped open.

She was back.

The endless space.

The impossibly vast Möbius strip beneath her feet.

And high above, the queen in the shimmering blue gown, looking down with that same indifferent gaze.

But this time... Kagura didn't charge.

She knew now.

No matter how fast she moved, no matter how advanced her armor or powerful her shield—none of it mattered.

Because Nihility's "weapon"... was space itself.

All matter, all energy—everything existed within space.

And if space itself was torn apart—then nothing, no matter how strong or durable, could possibly resist.

Nihility didn't need a blade. Or a beam. Or psychic force.

She simply sliced apart the very space that Kagura's body occupied.

Literally.

As simple... and terrifying... as that.

"Well... this is going to be tricky," Kagura muttered grimly.

Staring at the queen floating high above, Kagura let out a long breath.

"So she can manipulate space itself... If I recklessly charge in, no matter how tough my defenses are, I'll just be sliced apart in an instant."

In that case…

After a moment of thought, Kagura gripped her sword tightly, raising the vibranium blade behind her.

Sparks of electricity crackled and spread across the length of the blade as her core reactor flared, flooding the weapon with energy until its silvery surface blazed with blinding light.

What about ranged attacks? Would those work?

'Vwoooom—!'

The entire void trembled as violent currents of air rushed outward.

A blazing electromagnetic pulse surged toward Nihility with overwhelming force, capable of burning through anything in its path.

But just as the devastating beam reached Nihility's form, it suddenly collided with an invisible wall—as if an unbreakable barrier had been standing there all along.

The beam halted, stopped cleanly as though it had struck an absolute, immovable wall.

But no—that wasn't an ordinary barrier.

The energy from the electromagnetic blast didn't simply vanish. It was being absorbed.

Of course. What blocked the attack wasn't an unpassable shield of space—it was a spatial portal.

'Fwoosh—!'

In the next instant, the blinding electromagnetic blast came roaring from behind Kagura instead.

Thanks to her prior suspicion, Kagura reacted without hesitation—activating her acceleration skill and diving swiftly to the side.

A split second later, the tremendous energy beam shot past where she'd just been, scorching the edges of her battle suit.

Some parts of her outfit hadn't fully cleared the blast radius—and were burned away instantly.

"Tch... What a ridiculously unfair ability you have!"

Kagura grinned through gritted teeth. "As expected from the embodiment of the Space Stone itself... truly the supreme ruler of space!"

"Flatter me all you want, human," Nihility replied coldly from above, her expression unreadable. "But I won't be holding back. I haven't even used a fraction of my power yet. You may have figured out my trick—but what good does that do you? You're far too weak."

"Yeah... humans are weak," Kagura admitted softly, gripping her sword tighter.

"We don't have sharp fangs or claws. No thick fur or natural armor to protect us. We can't fly, can't sprint like wild beasts. Our bodies aren't built for fighting or killing.

But..."

The silver-haired girl slowly raised her gaze, staring straight into the eyes of the queen in the sky.

"...Humans are stubborn. Our ancestors didn't win because of their strength or speed. When they hunted prey, they didn't use weapons—or teeth or claws. They ran. They ran and ran—through day and night—until the prey collapsed from exhaustion.

No beast could ever escape from such endless pursuit. This... is the tenacity of humankind."

She smiled, steady and fierce.

"We're slow... but we can run forever."

Kagura took a stance, both hands gripping the vibranium blade before her—ready.

"So get ready, Queen of the Void. Kill me a hundred times. A thousand times. Ten thousand times."

"I don't care."

"I'm human. And humans are damn stubborn."

Maybe I seem weak in your eyes.

But I can grow stronger. Bit by bit, fight by fight, death by death.
