Marvel: DNF Invades

Chapter 34: Chapter 34

Dozens of dazzling mechanic skills were presented to Luke.

Browsing through the available skills, Luke struggled to make a decision.

"I really want both..."

In the end, Luke stuck to the original plan and chose the G-0 War Lord skill book for a female mechanic.

After studying it, an extremely complex design blueprint for a large-scale war mecha immediately appeared in his mind!

"Another money-burning project is coming."

Luke quickly estimated that the funds needed for this project would likely be dozens of times more than what he spent on creating the air combat mecha Tornado.

The G-0 War Lord was much more complicated, requiring more time to build, and there were several technical challenges to overcome.

Technical challenges weren't an issue for Luke. He just needed time to digest the knowledge in this skill book like he did last time.

What truly troubled Luke was the matter of money.

The G-0 War Lord he was about to build was going to be dozens of times larger than the Tornado. In the blueprint, this mecha was more like a real Gundam, 6 meters tall and 6 meters wide. It was massive.

Without several million dollars, he probably couldn't even construct the skeleton.

Moreover, Luke wasn't planning to use cheap materials this time. He wanted aviation-grade materials for the outer shell, worthy of the G-0 War Lord's design.

Therefore...

Luke decided that his blackmail plan should begin immediately.

Mr. Gou should be back by now, right?

It was another weekend, and it was time for Luke to take Spider-Man out to sell burgers.

Luke hadn't gone to school the previous day, and the staff hadn't noticed. This was thanks to Peter Parker.

At Luke's request, Peter Parker would visit Luke's class during the day, pretending to be Luke and sleeping at his desk.

Luke always slept in class, and the staff were used to it. Plus, Peter Parker wore a sweater and a hat that day, so the teachers didn't even notice Luke wasn't there.

This saved Luke a lot of trouble. If the staff had called his parents to report his absence, it would've been difficult to explain.

He couldn't just tell them the truth—"I flew to Europe to cause chaos, then came back the same day"—right?

Peter Parker was happy to help Luke.

Although he had no idea what Luke was up to, Spider-Man, full of adventurous spirit, imagined all sorts of plots:

A genius boy accidentally gains extraordinary abilities, like the ancient Eastern knights. He climbs walls and flies across the city, fighting crime and saving innocent people...

Peter thought it was so cool! So cool!

Business at Nina's Gourmet Burger Truck was as brisk as ever.

What started with selling dozens of burgers a day had grown to selling out 200 burgers by noon every day. Those who arrived late could only wait until next week for a chance to try them.

Happy, dressed in a suit, arrived right on time to buy burgers for his boss, Tony.

Tony was a true burger fanatic. Just think about it—his first action after surviving his disappearance in Afghanistan was to eat a burger. That shows just how much Tony loved them.

As a workaholic, Tony didn't take weekends off. Billionaires didn't spend their entire weekends vacationing. For Tony, a vacation was as enjoyable as staying in the lab all day, welding metal.

As for picking up women, it was just a way to spice up his life and satisfy his physiological needs.

So, the delicious burgers from Nina's Gourmet Burger Truck, appearing every weekend on time, became something Tony specifically asked Happy to get, a rare break for Tony, who saw the lab as his home.

"Hey, Luke, give me two top-notch configurations. And double meat patties," Happy said, his round belly sticking out as he waved at Luke with one hand in his pocket.

"No problem, Mr. Hogan."

Luke quickly and skillfully made two burgers but didn't hand them over immediately.

Instead, he looked at Happy and said, "Mr. Hogan, please tell Mr. Stark that starting today, we'll accept takeout orders. You don't have to come in person next time. I'll deliver the burgers."

"Takeout? Yeah, that's great! Of course, I'll tell him," Happy said, relieved.

Luke struck while the iron was hot, complimenting him. "Mr. Hogan, as Mr. Stark's chief driver and bodyguard, you must have more important things to do every day. A busy man like you has to worry about Mr. Stark's safety constantly. Compared to Iron Man, people like you, who silently protect others, are the real heroes. I admire you greatly."

"Thank you, thank you!" Happy's face lit up with smiles. He had never received such high praise before.

"How about this? Let me handle these chores. I'll deliver the burgers to Mr. Stark personally. You've got more important things to do, right?"

"Ahem, of course. I'm very busy every day," Happy said, straightening his suit and raising his head seriously.

So, when you're out in the world, never trust two types of people: women and children.

Clearly, Happy hadn't been influenced by this ancient Eastern wisdom, and he easily trusted Luke, who seemed harmless.

"Wait for me here," Luke told Spider-Man.

"Sure thing, mate," Peter Parker replied.

Luke walked into Stark Tower with a paper bag of burgers.

When he passed through the gate, Happy came over and signaled the guard to let Luke in.

If Happy had a favorability level, Luke would have gotten a system prompt right now: Happy Hogan favorability level +100.

Luke learned from Happy which floor Tony was on, then took the elevator, blatantly infiltrating the building.

"Christina, can you hear me?" Luke whispered in her ear in the elevator.

"Yes, Master."

"Very good. Wait for my instructions."

"Clear."

The elevator arrived at the top floor of Stark Tower. As the door opened, Luke saw a room with elegant decor and a warm style.

The top floor of Stark Tower was Tony's private residence, not open to the public. The high-end decorations and renovations showed just how extravagant the dog owner was, turning this place into a top-level villa.

As Luke stepped out of the elevator, he saw two women sitting on the sofa. They both looked up as he exited.

Chili, dressed in a dignified outfit, looked at Luke with mild surprise. She stood up and asked in a soft tone, "Hi. Who are you looking for?"
