Chapter 17: CH 17: Chat Group Upgrade?
Xenophilius Lovegood apparated in front of his house, pushing the door open.
"Pandora, Luna is it true?!" Xenophilius exclaimed excitedly, rushing inside the house holding the letter he received from Pandora.
"We're in the back!" Pandora called from the backyard, where she was accompanying Luna. She looked at her daughter with a mixture of complex emotions.
"Is she really blessed with Ancient Magic?" Xenophilius whispered to his wife, looking at Luna who was playing with an owl.
Pandora nodded bitterly. She had been experimenting with Ancient Magic and how to use it with normal magic or even without perceiving it.
Ancient Magic had disappeared from the wizarding world. Even those who were supposed to be blessed to perceive and wield it had vanished.
Until now, when suddenly, her daughter had become someone who could perceive Ancient Magic naturally, making her research feel like a cruel joke from fate.
"We need to hide this from everyone," Xenophilius whispered, looking at his daughter with worry.
"We can't let her go to Hogwarts. Dumbledore and those pure-bloods will know she's different," Xenophilius said, he knew how greedy those pure bloods think and even Dumbledore can't be trusted that he will do nothing if he discovered Luna's ability to wield Ancient Magic.
"I know you're worried, but we can't just lock her up," Pandora said, showing a soft smile as she looked at Luna. She hugged her husband's arm.
"And I think Luna would be the first one to disagree with your decision."
"As for her safety, I'll contact my grandmother, and she'll help us and teach Luna how this world really works," Pandora whispered, holding her necklace.
"What?! No! We can't do that. Luna is just a child!" Xenophilius exclaimed, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.
"Don't worry. Grandma would just teach her magic. You need to know, it's not just Ancient Magic that Luna got...Go ask her yourself," Pandora said, smiling at her husband and pushing him towards their daughter.
"For the greater good," Pandora Rosier Lovegood whispered. She had grown up hearing how wizards would lose against Muggles.
Unlike her grandparents who joined the Alliance to unite against the muggles, she chose to find her own way to survive, should that ever happen.
And that way was Ancient Magic.
It was a power that would increase any spell a wizard cast.
Pandora looked at her daughter, knowing that she might be the only hope wizards had against the advancement of Muggles.
Unbeknownst to every wizard and witches in the wizarding world, in the backyard of the Lovegood home, a Third-generation Dark Lord was silently being raised.
In the future she will be known as Luna Lovegood, Master of Ancient Magic and Lord of the Magical Animals.

"Mmnnh," Ragnar opened his eyes, contented from enjoying his new luxurious bed. Then, he focused on the chat group, noticing the members were completely silent. 'Either they're still shocked by the news of other worlds or it's night time in their world,' Ragnar thought, inspecting the Chat Group System.
Ragnar wondered if Mail was the only function besides detecting destiny and allowing them to chat, but then he remembered that the Chat Group System could be upgraded in some novels.
Ragnar didn't want to waste time guessing and just wanted to directly confirm it with the system.
Without even asking the Chat Group System already announced the upgrade condition to everyone.
[Omniverse Chat Group System Upgrade]
[Wyrmling 1/5]
[Loony Lovegood 0/5]
[Shitori Sona 0/5]
[Son of Plane 0/5]
[Viking Warrior 1/5]
[Son of Plane]: What do you all think the numbers mean?
[Wyrmling]: I think the numbers show how much mission we completed.
Ragnar guessed tentatively, considering that completing missions was the only difference between him and Astrid and the others.
[Viking Warrior]: I hate to say this but I agree with the dragon this time.
Sona crossed her arms, frowning. 'Then how long will it take for us to upgrade it,' she thought, remembering that missions only appeared through destiny. 'Should I go to Earth now?' she pondered. The only way to get more missions would be to know more people so she will have more destinies to change.
[Shitori Sona]: Looks like we need to be more active if we all want to upgrade the chat group.
[Son of Plane]: I don't even have any missions yet.
Huo Yuhao scratched his head with a wry smile. Though he wanted to complete a mission, he couldn't do anything if the system wouldn't even give him one.
[Shitori Sona]: You need to socialize with other people, the more chance you get a mission.
Huo Yuhao gritted his teeth, reading Sona's message. He looked towards the Duke Mansion direction, knowing he wouldn't be able to improve if he stayed there.
Huo Yuhao stood up and walked towards his mother, realizing he needed to leave for his future, but he wouldn't leave without her.
[Son of Plane]: Since you all are from a different world, do you have any items that can heal my mother?
[Wyrmling]: Can you tell us more about her illness?
Ragnar tapped his chin. He didn't have information about how Huo Yuhao's mother died, but he knew that she had died because her body grew weak from overwork.
[Son of Plane]: I don't know what's wrong with Mom's body. It just suddenly gave up one day. Her body became weaker and weaker until she couldn't even leave the bed.
Huo Yuhao explained, holding his mother's hand, his heart filled with pain.
[Wyrmling]: I'm sorry I think I couldn't help you.
[Viking Warrior]: I don't think I can help you as well, I'm sorry.
Huo Yuhao felt his heart being squeezed as he read their replies. Then finally Sona appeared.
[Shitori Sona]: Does your mother have any organs damaged? Or a severed limb?
[Son of Plane]: No, my mother's body is just weak.
Huo Yuhao felt a surge of hope, tightening his grip on his mother's hand, waking Huo Yutong.
[Shitori Sona]: Wait a minute.
Sona walked towards her desk, sat on the chair, and opened the drawer, revealing a small chest.
She took it, placed it on the table, and opened it. Inside, a golden glass with a red tip held a red liquid.
It was known in the supernatural world as Phenex Tear, a healing potion famous for its ability to regenerate injuries and restore health. It was the most expensive healing potion, and even a single drop could fully heal a person.
Although the price was high Sitri Clan had no problem buying it easily, and this one in front of her was prepared for her Peerage in the future.
Sona took empty vials from the side, added a single drop of Phenex Tear to each, and then placed the chest back on the desk. She then grabbed two vials and sending it to Huo Yuhao making it disappear.
[Shitori Sona sent Son of Plane a Mail]
[Shitori Sona sent Son of Plane a Mail]
[Shitori Sona]: Remember, Just drop one of it at your mother's mouth, she will surely heal.
Huo Yuhao who received the Phenex Tears from Sona held it in his hand excitedly as he stood up.
"Yuhao, what is that?" Huo Yutong asked weakly as she saw the red potion suddenly appear in her son's hand.
"It will heal your body, Mom," Huo Yuhao said excitedly, tears welling in his eye. He then fed Huo Yutong the Phenex Tears.
"I—" Huo Yutong didn't even have time to complain when she felt vitality pouring into her body, making her stronger. Her Martial Soul suddenly appeared, and her eyes glowed as her spirit level broke through level 10.
"How?" Huo Yutong asked, sitting up straight on the bed and looking at her son in shock. Doubt and confusion filled her face.
"It's given to me by a friend," Huo Yuhao said, showing a happy smile with tears flowing down his cheeks. He was only eight years old, and now he doesn't have to worry about his mother getting sick.
"Ah—" Huo Yutong was still filled with doubt, but she sighed and caressed her son's cheek with her right hand. "Then you better cherish your friend. Whatever you fed me is probably something precious."
"I know," Huo Yuhao said, rubbing his head against his mother's palm happily. He couldn't help but think how lucky he was to have joined the Chat Group. But then, his eyes snapped open, slowly turning cold as he read the words on the Chat Group System notification that suddenly appeared.
[Major Destiny Detected]
[Mission one: Prevent your mother from dying two years from now.]
[Reward: Conscious Space Control, Douluo Plane Consciousness Gift]
[Mission Complete]
[Do you wish to accept the reward?]
[Yes/No]
'Although I changed my mother's destiny, it won't change the fact that she would die two years later,' Huo Yuhao thought, his mind filling with anger towards the Duchess, everyone in the Duke Manor, and even his father, knowing they were the reason his mother died.
"What's wrong, Yuhao? You're scaring me," Huo Yutong said, worried, seeing her son's eyes turn cold and filled with hatred.
"Mom, let's leave. We don't have any future here," Huo Yuhao said, holding his mother's hand to convince her to leave with him.
"No, we can't. Your father will look after us. Believe him," Huo Yutong said softly, still believing in Dai Hao. "And even if I broke through level 10, we won't survive outside the manor without a Soul Ring," she whispered, trying to convince her son.
Huo Yuhao's eyes flickered with disappointment, but he didn't give up. He lowered his head. "Mom, I broke through level 10 as well," he whispered.
"How is that even possible? You're just a level three spirit trainee. Don't joke around because I didn't agree with you," Huo Yutong said, shaking her head until she saw her son raising his head and showing his Martial Soul.
"My Martial Soul mutated, allowing my soul level to pass through level 10," Huo Yuhao said, fear in his eyes. "Mom, if the Duchess found out about it, she would kill me."
Huo Yutong's mouth widened, not knowing what to say. She looked at the Duke Manor, knowing her son was right.
"Go pack your things," Huo Yutong said to her son, taking a Soul Tool dagger from beside her bed. 'I'm sorry, but I need to protect our son,' she thought to herself, apologizing mentally to Dai Hao.
"Are you done?" Huo Yutong asked, seeing her son already standing in front of her.
"Yes. I don't have much to pack, anyway," Huo Yuhao whispered, scratching his head.
"Let's go," Huo Yutong said, walking towards the door and pushing it open.
Huo Yuhao and Huo Yutong were both confident that no one would stop them from leaving or even following them.
The Duchess and her men wouldn't think it necessary to put surveillance on a weak dying woman and a weak spirit master who doesn't even have a Soul Ring, that's why no one would think that the mother and son would leave the Duke Estate.
Giving the Duke Manor a one last look, Huo Yuhao and his mother have only one thought in their mind, 'Goodbye,' as they turn around walking into the forest, escaping their cage and fate, writing a new destiny with their own hands.
