Chapter 7: SPARRING MATCH WITH ODIN
My father approached Hela and said, 'Hela, my child, you have awakened a very powerful godhood. Work diligently and aid me and your brother in conquering many realms.'
Hela nodded her head in agreement with her father and left Yggdrasil to go to his room. He was interested in talking to us about something.
When we came to his room, he talked about my journey to Jotunheim and told her to follow me to Muspelheim.
Next day -
Father said to me - It seems like you're getting stronger, so how about a little sparring match?
Ashborn - huh, I momentarily stun and then thought he is right, I also want to know how powerful I'm, so I agreed.
And now we are opposite each other on the arena surrounded by people in the stands which also includes our family namely mother and hela. And although we don't invite anyone in training grounds. Still, when we entered there were a few people training, although in the stands sitting with their friends, and they're hearing about my fight with Odin.
Odin asked me if I was ready and when I said yes, he motioned for a soldier to start the fight. The soldier brought his hand up then asked if we are ready and when we answered yes, he brought his hand down and fled the scene, not wanting to get caught up in our fight.
We looked each other in the eyes, then simultaneously charged each other and attacked.
Tensions Rise, Ashborn's struggles to fit in and control his emerging Void powers continuously. Odin, ever watchful, sees Ashborn's growing frustration and unease.
Odin believes teaching him the values of Asgard could set him on the right path, while secretly Odin thought after conquer Jotunheim ashborn getting arrogant with his power. In The Sparring Match, Odin, in an attempt (however misguided) to "guide" Ashborn, challenges him to a sparring match in the training grounds. Odin intends to teach Ashborn discipline and control, but his harsh methods only fuel Ashborn's inner turmoil. The match begins with traditional Asgardian combat techniques. Ashborn, though skilled, is outmatched by Odin's experience and power, as he also gets lots of battle experience, still compare to Odin battle experience is not enough.
As Odin pushes him harder, Ashborn's frustration intensifies. He feels pressured for the fast time. The Void energy within him begins to surge uncontrollably, fuelled by these negative emotions and frustration.
Describe the Visuals - The Void energy manifests as swirling shadows and crackling dark energy around Ashborn. His eyes briefly glow with an unsettling light. And Chaos Unleashed Overwhelmed by a surge of emotion (perhaps triggered by a particularly cutting remark from Odin about his lack of control), Ashborn lashes out. He unconsciously taps into the chaotic energies within him.
The training ground distorts around them. Illusions flicker, gravity shifts momentarily, and the very air crackles with unpredictable energy. Odin is caught off guard by the sudden shift in power. This is not a controlled attack. It's a raw, untamed expression of chaos. Ashborn himself is terrified by what he's unleashed. His actions cause Odin to be severely injured or his life threatened.
Aftermath The surge of chaos subsides, leaving Ashborn drained and horrified by what he's done. Odin is shaken, injured (perhaps not seriously, but enough to demonstrate the potential danger of Ashborn's powers), but also intrigued.
Odin recognizes the power Ashborn wields is beyond anything he's encountered before. He realizes Ashborn is not just have void power, but a force of nature. He may attempt to suppress or control it, leading to further conflict in his power.
Odin just smiles because, as a firstborn, making him the sole heir to the throne and the focus of Odin's attention and hopes for the future of Asgard. He is the firstborn who Odin put all his hopes on. Odin sees Ashborn as a reflection of his younger self, he is eager to guide his son, teaching him everything he knows about ruling, war, and the cosmos. Instead of being wary of him, Odin sees him as the future of Asgard.
Odin, seeing Ashborn's potential and feeling immense love and pride, truly desires to train his son to be the greatest ruler Asgard has ever known. He genuinely believes Ashborn can surpass him. Odin's eagerness is a driving force.
The sparring matches are not just training sessions but a way for Odin and Ashborn to connect; they are moments of father-son bonding. Odin is patient, encouraging, and sees nothing but potential in his son.
From a young age, Ashborn demonstrates an insatiable thirst for battle and an unparalleled aptitude for combat. He isn't just good; he's gifted, a prodigy.
Odin is immensely proud of Ashborn's martial prowess. He sees in his son the potential to become the greatest warrior Asgard has ever known, surpassing even himself, and that makes him extremely proud.
The sparring matches become brutal displays and explosions of raw power and unbridled aggression. They aren't just training matches, they are a power struggle, with Odin not holding back.
