Chapter twenty three:

I looked at Agent Barton cautiously. He isn't still mad at me, right? He then started to approach us and I couldn't help but stiffen slightly. I know he won't hurt me, I think. I just feel like I can't trust him. He then noticed me stiffen and stopped abruptly as he holds his hands up and shows me both sides.

"Woah Travis, it's ok. I'm unarmed, see. I have no attention to hurt you. May I?" Said Agent Barton as he tried to sit down beside me.

I just nodded at him and he sat down on the other side beside me. I then looked at him feeling cause. I'm not sure how I ended up there.

"Your not mad at me, are you?" I replied.

"Is that what your worried about? No I'm not mad. None of us are. You were put in a bad situation and you took a choice that not only put you at risk but also was one done without wishing to harm others. You are a kind hearted person." Said Agent Barton.

I was not expecting that response. Pietro just shook his head before laughing. "That is my brother for you, always putting others first. She never changes." Replied Pietro.

I just smiled at him as I tightened my hold on his hand. And Agent Barton just looked at the both of us.

"I see, I don't blame you for not wanting to leave your brother. You two have a strong bond. You should have seen him with Bruce Banner. They make quite a team." Said Agent Barton.

"It was nothing really." Replied Pietro as I just looked at him.

I then decided to change the subject. We don't have long with Ultron's plans and I have no idea how long I was out.

"So Bruce Banner... he saved me?" I said and Agent Barton nodded his head yes at me.

"Yes he did. He was quite nervous for a second but it was all good." Replied Agent Barton.

I felt uncomfortable. I wouldn't have gotten hurt if I was focusing after all.

"I need to thank him." I said as I started to get up.

I was mostly healed but I was just feeling phantom pain. Agent Barton then pushed me back down.

"Look while yes you are mostly healed you still need to rest, ok? I can call him if you want though." Replied Agent Barton.

I sighed, annoyed he won't let me go but I just nodded my head.

He then grabbed the phone and a few minutes later my room was filled with the Avengers. I was only expecting Bruce Banner but I also got , Captain America, Thor, Jean Grey and Pietro. I then looked between them feeling confused and slightly scared. Yes Agent Barton said that they won't be mad but being in a room full of Avengers and having them look at me was scary.

Add to the fact that I still wanted to be a fan girl so bad but I can't because I'm not meant to know them that well.
