Chapter thirty nine:

"What do we do now?" I said.

"Let's go home." Replied Steve Rodgers.

The rest of us boarded the quinjet before heading to the Avengers compound and everyone was silent except for Natasha and General Okoye.

General Okoye then told us about the message from Nick Fury which came from New York City.

"We'll go get him." Said Steve Rodgers.

"I'll go." Replied Rhoedy as he approached the exit.

After hours we arrived at the headquarters where Pepper Potts was distressed, everyone wondered about Tony Stark.

"Tony where is he?" Said Pepper Potts.

"We didn't see him." Replied Pietro Maximoff.

"Come on, let's go." Said Bruce Banner before we entered the compound.

Natasha then handed him a communicator which wasn't from this planet.

"It's a communicator, but not from this planet." Said Bruce Banner.

"How do you know?" Replied Steve Rodgers.

"It shows." Said Natasha before handing him the communicator.

"We need to locate where that was going." Replied Steve Rodgers.

(Two days later.)

"Hey, it stopped ringing." Said Rhoedy.

"We changed the battery days ago." Replied Steve Rodgers.

"We have to find out where that message went." Said Natasha.

Just then a person approached behind them.

"Where's Fury?" Replied Carol Danvers.

(In the hospital room.)

"You're not okay Travis, let me help you." Said Jean Grey as she tried to help me bandage up my wounds.

I just looked at her before letting her bandage up my wounds.

"I gave that communicator to Director Nick Fury, I told him that if one day the world was in real danger, he should let me know." Replied Carol Danvers.

"So Fury?" Said Steve Rodgers while looking at Carol Danvers.

"We need to locate that ship." Replied Rocket.

"What are these for?" I said while looking at Jean Grey.

"Here take them." Replied Jean Grey before she handed me some of her clothes to change into.

"I can look for Thanos, just give me a few days." Said Carol Danvers before she started to walk away.

"Okay." Replied Natasha while looking at Carol Danvers.
