Marvel: I am Jean's Apprentice.

Chapter 55: (Recruiting people.)

Chapter fifty five:

As the three of us walked out of the house, I couldn't help but think about what happened minutes ago, has Agatha Harkness been living like that? A fake detective.

"What do you know about covens?" Said Agatha Harkness.

"Just that they are drawn together by forces of fate, and that they are the truest form of sisterhood and... Replied Teen.

I was kinda relieved that Teen answered. "Oh , my god. Are you taking us to meet your coven?" Said Teen.

Agatha Harkness then shook her head. "No. Those harpies are dust." Replied Teen.

Teen slowly nodded his head. "But if this is the witches road, don't we need, you know, witches... one's with magic." I said.

Agatha Harkness and Teen then looked at me. It then clicked to Teen.

"Right. Of course. That makes sense. It is the witches, road." Replied Teen.

I then looked at Agatha Harkness and realized that we stopped.

"Agatha?" I said.

Agatha Harkness didn't respond but looked at the unbuilt house. (The Scarlet Warlock an Evil Witch was written all over it.)

People really hated me in Westview. I then grabbed Agatha's hand.

"It's okay." I replied.

"Right let's get out of here." Said Agatha Harkness.

"Right we're here." I replied.

Agatha Harkness nodded and followed us to the car. The car ride was silent, I was driving, Agatha Harkness was in the passenger seat and Teen was in the back. Ten minutes after we passed the sign leaving Westview I looked at Agatha Harkness.

"Am I even going in the right direction?" I said.

Just then the song On My Mind by Blackhand started playing on Teen's phone. I then turned my attention to him.

"Sorry." Replied Teen before he turned off his phone.

"Eddie?" I said.

"Sorry he worries." Replied Teen.

"So where do we find a coven?" Said Teen.

"Wherever you are, a coven there shall be." Replied Agatha Harkness.

"That's actually kinda beautiful." I said.

Agatha Harkness then shook her head. "No. It's definitely not. But it is the Covenstead Rule. Within any three mile radius, there will be a collection of witchy enough people to form a coven." Replied Agatha Harkness.

Teen then took out a notebook and handed it to Agatha Harkness.

"Can you actually right it down for me. There's a pen in the glove department." Said Teen.

Agatha Harkness was surprised that he would ask her to do that. "Oh. Okay. Of course." Replied Agatha Harkness.

She then took the pen out and threw it out the window.

"Oh. Okay." Said Teen.

"Do you want me to take that?" Replied Agatha Harkness as she looked at the notebook.

"No, it's okay... I'll remember it." Said Teen.

"So with a Covenstead, it's unlikely we will find witches as high as you?" Replied Billy.

"As if anyone as a high profile like me. Except the Scarlet Warlock who's sitting next to me. God how did she even get here." Agatha Harkness said to herself.

"Yeah, there's no such thing, Teen. You know, but all we need is a bit of talent. Even the most down and out witches, when in close proximity with each other, bring out a magical spark." Said Agatha Harkness.

I then turned the car and drove to what seemed like a deserved part of town.

"Oh. Stop." Replied Agatha Harkness.

"What?" I said before looking at the deserted place.

"Here. Now." Replied Agatha Harkness.

I just shrugged and turned to the store. "Are you sure they'll be a witch there." I said.

"We'll see if she knows the secret handshake." Replied Agatha Harkness.

"There's a secret handshake?" I said.

Agatha Harkness then shook her head. "No." Replied Agatha Harkness.

"I feel really optimistic about this." Said Teen.

As we walked into the store, the bell rang. "Welcome to the curious." Replied a woman.

I was about to speak but Agatha Harkness stopped me.

"Good day madam." Said Agatha Harkness.

Agatha Harkness then grabbed my hand. "This is my friend Floyd and his son Beauford." Replied Agatha Harkness.

I just smiled at the woman and she smiled back at me. "His uncle, my brother, recently passed, and we miss him. Something awful. And we would surely love to commune with him today. But to be quite frank with you, what is top of mind is the location of some gold bars he may or may not have been buried in our backyard." I said.

"This way." Replied the woman.

Teen and I then looked at Agatha Harkness.

"How will you be paying?" Said the woman.

Agatha Harkness then looked at me. "Debit works." I replied before paying the fifty.

"You'll find the gold bars in a old bowling bag at the back of his closet." Said the woman.

"Yes. That's it. Thank the lady, would you Beauford." Replied Agatha Harkness.

"There's something else." Said the woman.

"What is it?" I replied.

"You've been under the influence of someone you hurt." Said the woman.

I then turned to Agatha Harkness. "Ah!" Replied Agatha Harkness.

"They took your agency for three years. It's not the first time your witch kin betrayed you. But you survive. In a way a few do. In fact, that's why you're here." Said the lady.

"And I'm not interested." Replied the lady.

"Wait. What?" Said Teen as she looked at her.

"Thank you for your purchase. Your bank statement will say Lillia's Leggings, but that's just my side hustle." Replied Lillia.
