Chapter seventy one:

After collecting our things from the motel, Billy Maximoff, Pietro and I moved in with Jean Grey.

It took us three days but eventually we arrived at Jean Grey's two bedroom apartment.

No one saw Rio Vidal since our battle but I hoped to never see her again. Agatha was was weak but she had her purple magic back, so I say that's a good thing.

Once we pulled up at Jean Grey's apartment Billy Maximoff grabbed the bags, and Pietro helped me inside.

After finding out that the elevator was broken, we walked up the stairs, which took about ten minutes before we reached the apartment.

The feeling of home warmed my heart, I helped Jean Grey onto the couch while Billy Maximoff immediately went to the bathroom to take a shower.

I then sat down next to Jean Grey. This was what we were missing, each other.

Half an hour of silence, a scream was heard from Billy Maximoff's room. I jumped up and rushed over, while Jean Grey slowly walked over.

"Billy, what's wrong?" I said.

Billy Maximoff sat on his bed and was in shock.

"It was me." Replied Billy Maximoff.

I was confused. "What happened?" Said Pietro Maximoff.

"The road." Replied Billy Maximoff.

"What about it?" I said.

"Did I make the road?" Replied Billy Maximoff.

"Unlike your father... You actually did something interesting with your power. Sorry Travis." Said Jean Grey.

"Hey I brought Agatha back to life." I replied.

Jean Grey just smiled before she kissed me gently on the lips. "That was just one of your tricks." Said Jean Grey.

"The Ballad was the trick. It was just a trick to lure witches. The road wasn't real until you made it." I replied.

"So you're saying that all of that, everything we want through... Oh my god, if I made the road, like, if I literally made the road, that means... That I killed them." Said Billy Maximoff.

"I'm a murderer, Lilia in the tower." Replied Billy Maximoff.

"Who?" I said before putting my hands on his shoulders.

"She didn't even belong on the road, she's dead because of me." Replied Billy Maximoff.

"Dad... I killed them... My mind killed them." Said Billy Maximoff.

"If you actually do the math we saved three life's." I replied.

"What?" Said Billy Maximoff.

"Jen, Alice and Agatha." I replied.

"Billy, if you want to be a witch, get used to this feeling." I said.

"I'll never get used to this, mom, I killed them." Replied Billy Maximoff.

"No Billy, they chose to come, it's not your fault." I said.

"Nikkie, Agatha told me the song was for Nikkie, so if you think about it, you made his song a reality." I replied.

"Speaking of twins. Shouldn't we try and find Tommy?" Said Jean Grey.

I then looked at her. "Jean your still recovering." I replied.

"You're right, Tommy can wait." Said Jean Grey.
