Chapter seventy eight:

We got ready for the evening and I handed Jean Grey the box.

"It's only a part of your birthday present you'll get the rest at dinner." I said.

Jean Grey opened it and it was a green dress.

"It's beautiful. Thank you." Replied Jean Grey before she kissed me gently on the lips.

I then helped her put it on before smiling. "What?" Said Jean Grey.

"I have the most beautiful girlfriend in the world."

Once we got done we went outside where I set up a beautiful dinner by the lake. There was rose petals shaped as hearts around it. Across the lake there was a big projector with photos of us together and in the middle of it said Happy birthday Jean. Jean Grey felt herself starting to cry.

"Babe this is amazing. You've gone through so much effort. I love you so much." Said Jean Grey.

"You haven't seen anything yet." I replied.

The waiter came over with red wine and a menu. The meal is beautiful and we spent the evening just talking and laughing. Around dessert I started to get quiet Jean was about to ask me what was wrong when she heard a noise from across the lake by the projector.

The screen said. "How would you describe Jean Grey in one word?"

"Loyal." Said Carol Danvers.

"Badass." Replied Sam Wilson.

"Friend." Said Bucky Barnes.

"Caring." Replied Peter Parker.

"Everything." I said.

The screen then read. "How would you describe there relationship?"

"They are like magnets no matter what you put between them they're always going to find a way back to each other." Replied Sam Wilson.

"I just hope that one day I find a love like theirs." Said Peter Parker.

"Selfless. Jean sacrificed her future to be with Travis. I'm so glad she did." Replied Carol Danvers.

"Destiny. As soon as they met something in Jean changed. It's something I've never seen before. I'm so glad they're together." Said Pietro Maximoff.

"Soulmates. I've never seen any couple so well matched for one another. When they're apart it's like a piece of them is missing. They belong together. I can't wait to see what the future holds for them." Replied Thor.

"It's the realest thing I've ever felt. I feel so safe in her arms like when I'm with her I'm invincible. There's not enough words to describe how much I love her. Jean Grey means everything to me." I said.

By the time it was finished and the song Jean was unable to hold back the tears. I then put the guitar down and grabbed her hand.

"Jean I knew from the met you that you were going to be special. Getting to know you and love you has been the greatest honor of my life. Before I met you I never thought that I'd have a happy ending. I thought love and romance wasn't for me. Then you came along and made me feel loved and cherished. You are my happy ending Jean. I'm done planning for our future because I'm ready to start it. I love you Jean more and more every second of every day. Some times it scares me how much I love you but then you look at me or kiss me and all my worries and fears disappear because I know I'm with you. You're my home. So Jean will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" I said.

Jean Grey then kissed me long and passionately on the lips.

"So is that a yes?" I replied.

"Of course it is you idiot. I can't wait to marry you." Said Jean Grey.

When we got back to our room it was late. I then helped her step out of her green dress and left a trail of kisses on her neck.

Jean Grey then turned around and french kissed me hard and ferociously. As Jean Grey deepened the french kissing she took off my clothes. I then picked her up and laid her on the queen size bed.

"I love you Jean." I said before french kissing her hard and ferociously once again.
