Marvel: My Eyes Defies Fate.

Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Getting Tsukuyomi.

[The Third Eye Ring is saturated. Its level can now be upgraded. Do you wish to proceed?]

As soon as the message echoed in Kurogai's mind, he gave a confident nod.

"Upgrade."

In an instant, a radiant glow burst from the third pupil ring on his Ultimate Eye. The previously intricate patterns evolved, becoming even more complex. A warm current surged from the upgraded ring and flowed directly into Kurogai's eyes.

When he opened them again, the transformation was clear—his pupils had become the three-tomoe Sharingan. Then, the tomoe began to spin, slowly merging into the iconic pinwheel-shaped Mangekyō Sharingan.

Third Pupil Ring – First Ability: Mangekyō Sharingan: Tsukuyomi Activated.

"Tsukuyomi..." Kurogai whispered, his voice tinged with satisfaction. "This is one of the most advanced genjutsu. With this, my mental defenses are practically unbreakable. Not even Professor X can control me now."

Despite the Geass protections he had prepared beforehand to block psychic intrusion, Kurogai had always been cautious around Professor X. The man possessed Cerebro, after all. And with Cerebro's amplification, even Kurogai wasn't entirely confident in resisting a telepathic onslaught.

But now, things were different. With Tsukuyomi under his command, his mind was an iron fortress.

"Who are you?" Storm demanded, glancing between the unconscious Scott Summers and Kurogai. "Why did you attack our academy?"

"Me?" Kurogai raised an eyebrow. "I'm just a tourist. I wanted to take a look inside, but your guy disagreed... quite violently, I might add. It's not my fault he managed to knock himself out with a falling tree."

He spoke casually, almost amused.

"A tourist? You expect me to believe that?" Storm's voice tightened as her suspicion grew. Her eyes glowed faintly as storm clouds began to gather overhead.

When she had examined Cyclops' injuries earlier, she had instantly noticed the telltale signs of an energy attack—his own optic blast had injured him. Clearly, something unusual had happened, something beyond her understanding. And that made the man standing before her even more dangerous.

She wasn't about to let him roam free.

Just as she began to summon her powers, a calm voice echoed in her mind.

"Ororo, stand down. There's no need for further confrontation. Take Scott inside for treatment."

It was Professor X. He had sensed what had happened and, more importantly, had identified the visitor.

"But Professor," Storm responded telepathically, "this man is dangerous. He defeated Scott with ease."

"It's alright. He's not our enemy... for now. Bring him inside. I wish to speak with him myself."

Despite not being able to detect Kurogai's presence through telepathy—due to the layers of magical concealment Kurogai had prepared—Professor X wasn't without alternatives. Surveillance technology within the X-Mansion had picked up the confrontation. And when he saw those unmistakable bi-colored eyes, he understood exactly who this visitor was.

Storm hesitated, then finally sighed.

"Understood."

Kurogai had been planning to test Tsukuyomi on Storm, but as soon as she stopped mid-action, he realized what was happening. Professor X knew he was here. Pushing further now would only jeopardize his goals.

"What a shame," Kurogai muttered with a smirk. He had intended to acquire Storm's blood during the fight. But now wasn't the right moment. Better to keep his true motives hidden.

There would be other opportunities.

"Come inside," Storm said reluctantly, motioning toward the school. "The Professor wants to speak with you."

Though her tone was cold, Kurogai didn't mind. He simply smiled and followed her through the gates of the X-Mansion.

As he entered, everything felt familiar. The grand halls, the silent corridors—it matched the memories he'd seen of the place. But the stillness was noticeable. Not a single student in sight.

Understandable. After his skirmish with Cyclops, the staff had assumed the school was under attack. Emergency protocols had likely been enacted, and the students evacuated to safety.

"Is Scott alright?!"

A voice called out, filled with urgency. A woman in a white lab coat rushed over, immediately inspecting Cyclops' injuries.

"Jean, take Scott to the medbay," Storm instructed. "I'll take him to meet the Professor."

At that moment, Kurogai's eyes lingered on the woman. She wasn't the typical striking beauty, but her presence was commanding. Slender, graceful, with a composed air even in crisis. The white coat only amplified her elegance.

"Jean Grey," Kurogai murmured to himself.

Or perhaps more accurately, Phoenix.

As Storm had said her name, everything clicked. This was the host of the Phoenix Force—a cosmic entity of terrifying power. And even Kurogai felt a moment of caution. He could sense a burning presence inside her, like a fire waiting to be unleashed.

As his gaze lingered, Jean glanced at him as well. Her expression tightened, as if she too sensed something... a stirring within her.

"Let's go. The Professor is waiting," Storm said sharply.

Kurogai nodded and turned away from Jean, following Storm deeper into the mansion.

After so many years, it was finally time—he was going to meet Charles Xavier himself.
