The mutants look at this scene with extreme reverence, for in this moment, Neo appears incredible, overflowing with authority and nobility, like a king with supreme authority and unstoppable force.

But behind this mask, the only thought in Neo's mind right now is:

"Shit, I'm out of cursed energy."

Yes, my friends, he used all of his energy to cut that gate.

You might ask why he spent all his energy on that. The answer is simple...

STYLE.

Now, you're probably wondering why this attack cost so much.

Simple: that was a very weak version of "WORD'S SLASH," which is, to say the least, very expensive for Neo's cursed energy reserves, even in its weakest form.

So, if anyone wanted to make a stealth attack now, this would be the time...

BANG

Feeling an imminent danger, Neo dodges, but unfortunately, due to the exhaustion from the last attack on the gate, the bullet hits his shoulder instead of his head, almost tearing off his arm.

When everyone sees Neo being hit, they realize they've taken too long to escape. Now, it's either run or fight...

I don't even need to say which one they choose, right?

They all start running while Neo is kneeling with his hand on his shoulder, desperately thinking:

"Shit, if only I had the Reversal Technique..."

Neo quickly gets up and starts running at full speed, but after twenty steps, he feels that tingling sensation down his spine. He jumps to the side, but this time the bullet pierces his leg, leaving a large hole in his thigh as he falls to the ground.

When he hits the floor again, unable to move one of his legs, he can only think about how unlucky he is.

But just when he thinks about dragging himself along the ground, Alex grabs Neo by the arm and starts running with the crowd, helping him walk.

Unfortunately, both of them are moving very slowly because Alex is physically weak, so they aren't getting very far.

Just when they thought they were about to die, Carina grabs the other arm and starts helping the two of them, significantly increasing their speed.

As they run, Neo looks back for a moment and sees an entire army running toward them, firing relentlessly.

He starts pushing himself even harder, despite his leg hanging by a thread.

But as he does, he receives a message from the System.

[SECONDARY MISSION: ESCAPE SAFELY WITH YOUR COMPANIONS][REWARD: +5% FUSION WITH CURRENT CHARACTER, AND A SPIN ON THE UTILITY WHEEL]

When Neo reads this, he becomes curious about this "UTILITY WHEEL," but just as he's about to ask the system, his thoughts are interrupted by the sound of hundreds of gunshots.

Without thinking, he begins running alongside Alex and Carina.

Meanwhile, all the powerful beings in this universe feel the unmistakable presence of two new energies, each reacting in their own way.

In a massive palace, adorned with gleaming marble and pure gold details, an old man with a golden eye patch on his left eye sits on a grand throne. It is Odin.

Odin is thinking about how to make the Nine Realms more peaceful or better protected. He senses a wave of completely evil and malicious energy surrounding all of Asgard.

Thinking it's an attack, he hastily rises from his throne, raises his spear, and strikes it against the ground, trying to push the energy away from Asgard.

But when he tries, he realizes something: he can't push the energy away.

Startled by the force, he quickly leaves the castle at high speed, chasing the source of this energy. As soon as he exits, he immediately realizes:

Odin: "It's impossible. The energy doesn't come from a specific person."

He looks at a random Asgardian in the street and sees that they're emitting this energy. After a few seconds, with his incredible intelligence, he figures out what this energy is and says:

Odin: "This is negative emotion condensed into energy, but something like this should be impossible under normal circumstances..."

He stops with a disturbing thought in his head and quickly says:

Odin: "Unless the laws of the universe have changed."

In a monastery in Nepal, called Kamar-Taj

A bald woman is meditating peacefully until a strong, malignant energy invades her senses, and she abruptly stands up, entering combat mode.

...

But nothing happens. She's confused, thinking it's an attack from a powerful being, like Dormammu, but the malicious energy is not hurting anyone or reacting when she tries to manipulate it.

While she's thinking, Wong bursts into her room, frantic, and starts shouting desperately.

Wong: "Ancient One, we're under attack by some kind of evil entity!"

The Ancient One looks at Wong and responds quickly with a serene expression:

Ancient One: "Don't worry, Wong. It's not an attack... it's something else."

Confused, Wong asks:

Wong: "But Ancient One, this energy..."

The Ancient One cuts him off before he can finish.

Ancient One: "At first, I thought like you, but... this energy doesn't harm anyone, and seems harmless if not used. But further research is needed—"

She stops speaking when she realizes that Wong is "leaking" this energy. After seeing this, she rushes to the training hall where all the disciples are, either panicked or ready to fight. And she finally realizes:

Ancient One: "Wong."

Wong, who followed her, asks confused by the sudden shift from calm to concern:

Wong: "Yes, Ancient One?"

She looks at him with a worried expression and says:

Ancient One: "The universe has changed in a very dangerous way."

A very well-dressed old man is in a panic as he looks down at Hell and says:

Mephisto: "This is not good at all."

Below him, millions of demons are fighting against tens of millions of vicious, monstrous beings attacking fiercely. Some intelligent humanoid monsters are observing the chaos, smiling satisfied at the pandemonium.

Mephisto: "I'm really going to need help."

It's been three hours since they managed to evade the soldiers in the forest surrounding the slaughterhouse.

Neo, Alex, and Carina are hiding in an abandoned house, waiting for Neo to regenerate, which could take some time since his regeneration isn't very fast. It'll be a few days before he's in perfect condition.

The place is unnervingly silent since there's nothing specific to talk about.

But breaking the silence, Alex asks Carina:

Alex: "Carina, why did you follow us?"

Carina answers sarcastically:

Carina: "You mean, why did I save your asses, right?"

Alex gives Carina a disapproving look for her tone, but Neo speaks up.

Neo: "She's right. She saved both of us... without her, that damn sniper would've shot us in the head."

Alex wants to argue but knows that if he weren't so weak, he and his master would've been dead, so he swallows any complaints.

Seeing Alex won't continue, Neo speaks to Carina:

Neo: "I think you should leave while you can... the path ahead is too dangerous."

Now that Neo looks at Carina more closely, he can't deny that she's beautiful.

Carina is 1.77 meters (about 5'9") tall, with naturally purple hair, a curvy body, large breasts, and slightly defined muscles. Unfortunately, a horrible burn scar runs across the upper right side of her forehead, extending slightly to her eyes, which are bright purple.

When Carina hears what Neo says, she responds:

Carina: "I don't think it's worse than being a mutant, wandering around alone."

She says this with a weak smile, as if mocking her own situation.

Neo looks at her, lets out a faint laugh, and nods in agreement. Then Carina speaks.

Carina: "I'm going to sleep, tomorrow is going to be a tough day."

Seeing Carina going to sleep, Alex looks at Neo and says.

Alex: "Master, I think it's best if someone stays on watch while the others sleep."

Hearing Alex's idea, Neo nods in approval and responds.

Neo: "Then go to sleep, I'll stay on guard. I won't be able to sleep with the pain."

Alex wanted to argue, but Neo simply makes a hand motion for him to go to bed, prompting Alex to follow the order.

Neo had already tried to make Alex stop calling him Master, but it was useless. He always responded with, "I can't call my master any other way, or it would tarnish his image as a king," or "A king should always be addressed as either Majesty or Master. I prefer Master." So, Neo gave up.

Now that Neo was alone, and with some peace, it was time to do something he had been meaning to do for a while: ANALYZE THE SYSTEM.

Neo: "System."

[YES, HOST?]

Neo looks at this and begins to feel anger after everything this damn system had made him go through.

Neo: "What are your functions?"

[THE SYSTEM ASSISTS THE HOST IN FUSING WITH CHARACTERS FROM OTHER UNIVERSES, GRANTING THE HOST THEIR POWERS, BODY, INTELLIGENCE, HABITS, TALENTS, AND APPEARANCE (THE APPEARANCE CAN BE CHOSEN TO BE INTEGRATED WITH THE BODY OR NOT).]

[IN ADDITION, IT GRANTS THE HOST ADVANTAGES SUCH AS BEING ABLE TO BRING THINGS FROM OTHER UNIVERSES INTO THIS ONE, BUT BRINGING THINGS FROM OTHER UNIVERSES HAS THE SAME CONSEQUENCES AS FUSING A CHARACTER WITH THE HOST.]

Neo looks at this and realizes that the fusion was not as simple as he imagined—it seemed like a full fusion.

While Neo was thinking, he notices something and asks, slightly startled, to the system.

Neo: "System, does merging the body mean I'll end up with four arms?"

[CORRECT, HOST.]

[AS THE CURRENT CHARACTER OF THE HOST IS "SUKUNA, THE KING OF CURSES," THE HOST WILL GAIN FOUR ARMS TO BE ABLE TO DEFEND AND ATTACK AT THE SAME TIME WHILE CONJURING SPELLS.]

Neo starts to become very concerned about this, because yes, for efficiency, having four arms would be incredibly powerful. Sukuna with four arms was nearly twice as efficient as with just two. But he would turn into some kind of freak, with a mouth on his stomach, an extra pair of eyes, and who knows what else.

Neo, worried, asks the system.

Neo: "System, is there any way I don't have to look as strange as Sukuna?"

The system quickly responds.

[UNFORTUNATELY, HOST, THAT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE. YOU WOULD HAVE THE APPEARANCE OF "SUKUNA."]

Neo is sweating, thinking about what kind of freak he's going to become, when the system says something else.

[BUT IF THE HOST PREFERS, IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAINTAIN "SUKUNA'S" FORM AS A TRANSFORMATION.]

Neo almost faints from relief and finally manages to relax.

A little more at ease, Neo asks the system.

Neo: "System, do you have a main screen or something where I can see what I have?"

The system immediately displays a screen in front of Neo.

But ignoring this, Neo realized something else and immediately asked.

Neo: System, why didn't you report to me when I completed the mission?

The system takes a second to respond.

[SINCE THE HOST WAS IN A CONCENTRATION SITUATION WHEN THE MISSION WAS COMPLETED, THE SYSTEM DECIDED IT WAS BETTER NOT TO DISTURB THE HOST.]

For the first time in his short life in this world, Neo wanted to hit the system.

So he angrily asked.

Neo: Wouldn't it have been better if you had informed me earlier so I knew I wasn't being chased anymore, damn it?

[IF THE HOST WANTS TO BE IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED AFTER A MISSION IS COMPLETED, THE SYSTEM WILL DO SO FROM NOW ON.]

Neo had given up on this system a long time ago, but it didn't matter—it's all he had. So to avoid getting more frustrated, he said.

Neo: Spin this damn utility roulette, please.

[OK HOST]

[THE UTILITY ROULETTE IS SPINNING...]

In front of Neo, a large roulette started spinning so fast that Neo couldn't even read the rewards.
