Chapter 115: Cybertron Senate!

_____

In fact, Lorien had no idea what little Hela was up to. There wasn't any plan involving her, and who takes a bath right after getting home anyway? It was only half past eight in the evening, and everyone knew the real fun didn't start until eleven or twelve.

So, when Hela realized there wasn't anything planned for her, she sulked and angrily went to play video games, muttering along the way, "I don't care, you never take me with you to have fun."

Hearing this, Lorien could only sigh. Asgardians truly had a fierce temperament. Hela had managed to stay single for thousands of years, not because she wasn't desirable, but because she had been disinterested in anything other than fighting and conquest.

Oh, right. Lorien suddenly remembered, Asgard is part of Norse mythology. And in Norse mythology? Well, the books on Norse mythology that don't touch on anything sexual are shorter than a notepad. The ones that include all the details are taller than a person!

That's when it hit Lorien. Of course Hela knew about these things—it was normal for her. On the contrary, he felt embarrassed for not realizing sooner.

Lorien had to admit, he was lucky. Otherwise, if he ever went to Asgard to find a partner, the chances of picking someone who was still, well, inexperienced, were slim to none.

Got it. Lorien decided he needed to "study" a bit more himself.

Meanwhile, after watching little Hela run off to play her games, Gwen thought for a moment and suggested, "Lorien, why don't we go check out Cybertron again?"

Lorien considered it and nodded. "Alright, sounds good."

With a snap of his fingers, they teleported to Mars. What they saw left them in awe.

Mars no longer had its original scorched, barren look. Now, the entire surface had transformed, resembling a giant chessboard.

Where once the land was dry and weathered, now there was a modular city in place. The white areas represented natural ecological zones, while the black areas were mechanical regions. These zones formed a chess-like grid across Mars.

Of course, not all the black and white zones were separate. Where the ore veins ran, the areas became mechanical zones, and where no veins were present, the zones were dedicated to nature.

The most surprising part? The natural ecological areas weren't just simulation warehouses anymore. Green plants were already sprouting. And the speed of this transformation was astonishing.

"Wow~~~!" Gwen gasped in amazement.

They watched the rapid development of Mars, which seemed impossible for ordinary humans to accomplish. How could it only take ten days to start terraforming a planet like Mars? This was clearly beyond human ability.

As Lorien continued to observe, he noticed that besides the thousand veteran Cybertronians, there were also smaller, three-digit-sized ones actively working. This meant that these Cybertronians were already producing a new generation of transformers.

The natural ecological areas were also being meticulously maintained by special robots. Mars was evolving rapidly, an entirely new world in the making.

Gwen, now completely fascinated, pointed to the ecological zone below. "Let's go check it out, Lorien!"

Lorien had the same idea. After they descended into the zone, he immediately noticed a change in the temperature. Mars, which used to sit at around minus 60 degrees, now hovered close to 0 degrees. The transformation was remarkable.

Gwen wandered through the nature area, studying the plants. "Some of these look a lot like Earth plants, but others are completely different."

Lorien nodded in agreement. "That's because these are alien plants. It's normal for them to look a little different."

But Gwen continued looking around, puzzled. "Why aren't there any animals here yet? With the temperature at this level, some animals should be able to survive."

Lorien observed the environment around him. The temperature was fine, the humidity was sufficient, and the plants looked like they could easily sustain herbivores. But why weren't there any animals?

Could it be the gravity or oxygen levels on Mars that were still not enough? Lorien wasn't entirely sure just yet.

"Let's go check out the others," Gwen suggested.

"Alright," Lorien agreed.

They wandered around, and Lorien noticed the veterans' equipment had been upgraded. Some of the veterans involved in mining now had much better gear than they originally had. Meanwhile, those who weren't interested in mining were already fully armed, though it wasn't clear what they were preparing for. Lorien didn't have to worry about civil war—there was no chance of that. The shapeshifting robots were absolutely loyal to him.

As they walked further, they arrived on the other side of Mars and saw an immense building. Inside, they found 1,000 pillars evenly placed. Curious, Lorien opened his panel to see what the building was for.

"Senate House," the display read.

It seemed that the decisions made by the shapeshifting robots would affect the entire Cybertron star. And just as they arrived, a vote was taking place.

An elder stood in front of the assembly and began, "The Creator has tasked us with transforming 50% of the natural ecological environment on the planet. The Druid Patriarch has proposed adding animal elements to the natural biome. If you agree, light your Elder's Pillar green. If you oppose, light it red. Since this concerns the Creator, abstention is not allowed."

The elders connected to the vote, no matter where they were located. In less than a minute, the 1,000 pillars began to light up.

Gwen's eyes widened. "500 votes for, 500 against!"

She then turned to Lorien, knowing that he had the final say in any deadlock, a role he'd made clear earlier. Lorien saw the result and led Gwen forward to meet with the elders. They greeted him with great respect.

"The Creator," they said, bowing.

Lorien gave a nod. "Provide me with the reasons behind your votes," he instructed.

After a few minutes, Lorien received the elders' explanations. The 500 green lights, those in favor, primarily argued that they were carrying out the Creator's plan, with some pointing out the potential benefits of introducing animals. On the other hand, the 500 red lights, those opposed, presented more comprehensive reasons. They expressed concerns that adding animals would waste time and resources, that Cybertron's development didn't require animals, and that green plants were sufficient. Some even argued that Mars' gravity might cause the animals to grow excessively large, disrupting the development of the mechanical regions.

Lorien shared the reasoning with Gwen and asked her, "What do you think?"

Gwen carefully considered the arguments. She wasn't just going to support introducing animals because they were cute; this required serious thought. After a moment, she spoke.

"If the animals get too big, they might cause trouble in the mechanical areas. But it would feel too barren without any animals," Gwen mused, tilting her head in thought. She snapped her fingers lightly before offering a suggestion. "What if we introduce a few species, only docile and aesthetically pleasing herbivores? We could control their population and restrict them to specific areas. Since no one's going to live on this planet, we don't need a complete ecosystem."

Lorien considered her proposal and nodded in agreement. "That could work. We don't need a full ecological chain—just visually appealing animals that can be easily managed."

Gwen smiled and extended her hand. Lorien responded with a high-five.

"Alright," Lorien declared, turning back to the elders. "This proposal is approved. However, only introduce animals that are visually pleasing and easy to manage. There's no need for a complete ecological chain, and the shapeshifting King Kongs will monitor and control their population."

In unison, the veterans responded, "Yes, Creator."

With the vote settled, the matter was closed.
