Russell ignored President Loki. At that moment, the system notification kept ringing in his ears:

President Loki knelt on the ground, trembling—growing more terrified by the second.
Life or death… Can we just get it over with already, sir?!
Every second now felt like torture in hell.
Finally, he couldn't resist and stole a quick glance upward—only to meet Russell's cold, expressionless face.
He immediately bowed his head again, silently chanting Odin's blessings in his mind.
This time, I might actually die… not just pretend.

"I hate the Giants of Jotunheim," Russell said through gritted teeth.
Not only useless again... but not even a single good skill came out of this.
Not one of these Lokis could use illusion magic.
Just trash. Absolute trash among trash.
Suddenly, a weak voice chimed in:
"Y-Yes... I hate the Jotun too. Absolutely despise them."
Russell looked down and saw President Loki smiling awkwardly, his face full of flattery.
Russell wasn't sure if this guy's "submission ability" was actually working, but he decided to give him a chance.
"Can you find me a Loki who can use illusion magic?"
Earlier, he had used Elrios to bait a Loki who knew illusions and followed him.
But he couldn't keep using that method every time.
Too many coincidences would eventually raise suspicion.
And right now, he wasn't strong enough to go against Elrios.
President Loki froze for a moment—then began nodding like a chicken pecking rice.
"Yes! Yes! I can find a Loki who uses illusion magic!"
As he said that, he suddenly remembered—when they first encountered this terrifying man, he had said that those who couldn't use illusion magic could leave.
So we could've escaped back then?!
Regret welled up in his chest, but it was too late now.
At that moment, he noticed Russell's eyes shifting—turning into molten gold.
It was as if those eyes could pierce directly into his soul.
A sudden chill swept through his body—he felt like he was seeing Odin again, if only for a moment.
That trembling... it was soul-level fear.
With great effort, President Loki stammered:
"I... I can't directly find a Loki like that."
"But I know this wasteland and the city very well. I can search more effectively than others!"
Russell's gaze grew heavier. He asked:
"In that case, why is your team so small? There should be more of you."
President Loki looked embarrassed.
"Well… not every Loki wants to join me."
"And we didn't win every time. At most, I had tricked about twenty Lokis into joining me."
"But a lot of them died. This team was only formed recently."
"So now I usually evaluate my targets first. Like this time—we thought Viking Loki had spotted some clueless fool, so we showed up."
"Of course, it's not foolproof. If there's real danger, I usually just run."
He felt awkward admitting it out loud.
In the past, he'd have run at the first sign of trouble.
But this guy—this monster—was too powerful. And those idiot Lokis clearly sensed the danger too.
So, being a Loki... means betrayal. Means escape.
But maybe it was a blessing in disguise.
Because he had survived by being the slowest to run.
The others? Probably reincarnated already.
The molten gold in Russell's eyes faded, but his oppressive aura remained as he said coldly:
"You have one day."
"If you can't find a Loki with illusion magic by then..."
"Believe me—turning to ash would be the merciful outcome."
President Loki nodded quickly. "Understood! Absolutely understood!"
It was already nearly evening.
Russell didn't feel like searching tonight. He lay back on the recliner and asked casually:
"You look like the Loki from the Sacred Timeline. You should've grown up in Asgard."
"So why don't you know illusion magic? Didn't Frigga teach you?"
President Loki scratched his head awkwardly.
"In my timeline... Asgard didn't really teach that sort of spell."
"And I was pretty mischievous as a kid. As I got older, I wasn't interested in magic or studying."
"When I realized I'd never sit on the throne as King of Asgard, I went to Earth... and ran for president."
As he spoke, his face lit up in frustration:
"I even became mayor of New York! And then the TVA showed up!"
"Those damn bastards who should be rotting in hell with Mephisto—they just pruned me without even listening to my explanation!"
"I mean seriously, I'm a good guy!"
...Yeah right. More believable to think the TVA captured him to make him the Time-Keeper than believe he's actually a good person.
Russell glanced at him, unimpressed, and closed his eyes.
Let's see what he can pull off tomorrow.
Hopefully, he's actually useful.
