Chapter 39: Chapter 38 The Message Arrives
Obadiah pulled back his metal fist and a thump resounded as Williams dead body crashed to the ground.
Ignoring Williams, Obadiah glanced at his fist.
Everything he saw was red.
Yet the colour of blood was a slightly different shade to the other shades of red.
There was blood on his fist, yet... he still did not feel a thing.
Glancing back, he saw the floor littered with bodies ripped apart, blood filling the ground.
Worst part about this was that he couldn't even bring himself to care that he did not feel a thing killing them with his own hands, ripping there bodies apart like it was nothing.
"Was this the extra price" Obadiah tried to say but his voice wouldn't come out.
His throat could not function properly anymore.
The skin had been ripped and burnt onto the Armour.
Every time he moved he felt a numbing pain.
Yet he felt completely in control of the armour.
Almost as if the armour was his new body.
Obadiah could feel a huge amount of power, just waiting to be used.
Enough to even defeat Superman.
..
It was night at this time.
Tony lounged on his couch, the sharp tang of rum biting his tongue as he watched Steve, ever the idealist, sip his water under the moonlight.
The serene moment felt like the calm before a storm—one they both knew was brewing, even if neither dared to address it directly.
Tony would occasionally glance at Steve take sips of water as he enjoyed the soft light of the moon.
"You sure you don't want anything stronger?" Tony couldn't hold it and finally asked but Steve shook his head to deny and he continued drinking water causing Tony to scoff in annoyance.
"Jarvis switch on channel 87" Tony said as the TV switched on, he hoped to find a channel that did not talk about Superman, A few hours ago, he made Jarvis scan through every news channel in the world.
But literally every single one of them no matter the language or country, they were all reporting exclusively about David.
This time as well.
There was a news report on David.
"My goodness, it's like every news channel in the world is reporting about Superman" Steve said.
"Sir, that's because every channel is indeed reporting exclusively on Superman, the controversy he has caused spans many countries and many powerful figures all around the world" Jarvis responded.
"Yes, but we know they are all Hydra" Tony groaned in annoyance.
"We know that, but the world doesn't" Steve said causing Tony to nod in agreement.
"Sir, A report from one of our top scientists has arrived as an emergency, shall I summarise?" Jarvis asked.
Tony thought about it for a second.
"Yes, summarise it" He was not building any Armour currently due to a depletion in materials.
There was nothing going on, on the news, him and Steve were just having a little downtime
His Mark suit was getting cleaned by Jarvis, so he could go back out there and hunt the Hydra agents within the country along with Steve.
"In summary, Obadiah Stane has been trying to recreate your militarised Arc reactor and has been building a Iron man suit with Ambitions to kill you sir, and take Stark Enterprise as his own"
"What...?" Tony mumbled.
"There is more to the message sir, If this message was sent to you and the rest of the shareholders, I along with a few members of my team are dead, killed by Obadiah Stone"
Tony felt his hand weaken as the glass slipped from his hand.
Crashing onto the marble floor, it shattered, the drink within, spilling onto the floor.
"Sir, there seems to be an Attack on Stark Towers" Jarvis suddenly alerted as the video on the TV changed to a cctv camera located in the back part of the Stark tower.
Tony watched as a tall metal being stood on the ground that seemed like it was ripped apart under it.
It looked familiar to his Mark 1, except improved by several levels.
It had a glowing red core pulsating as it glanced around with its glowing red eyes.
"Jarvis, is the Mark 3 suit ready?"
"Yes sir it is ready" Jarvis replied causing Tony to nod as he began walking to equip the suit.
Meanwhile David was just about finishing up, gathering all of these Hydra agent from all over the world.
The last stop was Sokovia.
David floated as he looked at the base where Baron von Strucker, ran his operations.
He was someone that didn't run even after everybody realised that, the Hydra members list was exposed.
That is because of a simple fact, Barons name did not appear on the list David took.
It could be due to Baron asking Zola to keep his name out of it, since he didn't want to be incriminated if it were to ever leak.
At the start Baron had some initial panic when he found out Hydra was exposed, But soon he realized that it wouldn't affect him.
David was not going to let Baron off easily.
What concerned David more was the decision he was faced with Wanda.
Should he kill Wanda.
Once awakened she will become a unreasonably powerful being.
Her nature is good, but if circumstances were to turn bad.
Wanda would become an extremely dangerous entity.
This was shown in Wandavision and house of M.
She would not only be a risk to the entire world and maybe more then just the earth, but most importantly would have the potential to endanger his own life.
