The trajectory of the katana changed in an instant, accelerating with a more vicious angle and speed as it shot toward Victor's left hand, which was clutching Kara. If Victor didn't release her immediately, he could kiss his original left hand goodbye forever!

"Bastard!"

Victor cursed angrily, reluctantly releasing Kara as he retreated in haste. Yet, though Victor's reactions were fast, Alex's follow-up move was even faster. With a swift downward slash of his katana to the ground, there was a sharp "clang" as Alex's entire body flipped upside-down, head below and feet above. In a sudden and unpredictable motion, he delivered a fierce kick to Victor's chest, catching him completely off guard.
