Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Temporary Halt

"Bang!"

Just as Alex was forced back several meters by a powerful punch, the amateur fighter known as "Stone Man" abruptly stomped the ground with tremendous force. Cracks webbed out beneath his feet as he propelled himself forward at high speed, closing in on Alex, who was still skidding backward. In the next instant, Stone Man's right fist, like a hammer, smashed down with immense power.

"You're learning quickly!"

Alex smirked, his voice tinged with amusement. As he redirected the impact into the ground beneath him, he leaped gracefully into the air, easily dodging Stone Man's ferocious strike.

"Boom!"

Stone Man's punch, carrying over thirteen tons of force, slammed into the ground, creating an enormous crater several meters in diameter. The sheer power of the blow sent tremors rippling through the area.

"Don't dodge, coward!" Stone Man roared in frustration. He snatched two fist-sized chunks of brick from the ground and hurled them toward Alex, who was still mid-air.

To an ordinary person, the destructive power behind those bricks, amplified by Stone Man's overwhelming strength, was equivalent to multiple artillery shells. A single hit would undoubtedly reduce someone to a bloody mist.

Yet Alex chuckled, his expression calm. He shifted slightly in the air, effortlessly avoiding the improvised projectiles. The two bricks, slicing through the air with a deafening whistle, disintegrated from friction after traveling dozens of meters, leaving nothing but fine dust.

"This fight has gone on long enough."

As Alex landed lightly, his feet touching the ground, he wasted no time. Before Stone Man could react, Alex accelerated like a bolt of lightning. Within seconds, he was behind Stone Man, his right palm gently pressing against the other's back.

At that moment, an unstoppable torrent of force surged from Alex's palm, focused into a single point.

"Shingetsuryuu Secret Technique: Blade of the Camellia!"

"Boom!"

Caught off guard, Stone Man was slammed into the ground by the overwhelming force. The impact fractured the earth in a radius of more than ten meters, filling the area with a dense web of cracks. Some fissures were no wider than a chopstick, while others were over half a meter across. The largest crack formed directly beneath Stone Man, carved out by the sheer force of his head smashing into the ground.

"Had enough yet?"

Dusting his hands, Alex stood calmly, his gaze fixed on Stone Man, who lay sprawled in the deep pit, face-first.

Unexpectedly, Stone Man wasn't down for the count. Letting out a guttural roar, he propped himself up on the ground, his massive arms ripping a multi-meter slab of concrete from the earth. With a loud "whoosh!", he hurled it toward Alex.

"Cherry Blossom Moonlight!"

Alex sighed, deciding it was time to end the fight. Channeling his spiritual energy, he unleashed one of his foundational techniques: Kami no Nagare.

With a single palm strike, the massive concrete slab split cleanly in two. The pieces crashed to the sides, kicking up dust and debris.

However, while Alex's view was momentarily obstructed, Stone Man took the opportunity to charge forward, his immense frame barreling through the dust cloud like a runaway train. His thunderous roar and the howling wind of his approach were deafening.

Unfortunately for Stone Man, Alex had anticipated his tactic.

"You're trying this?" Alex sneered.

As Stone Man's massive fist neared, Alex grinned slyly.

"Rising Dragon Fist!"

Roaring the name of his technique, Alex channeled all his power into his fist. Like a volcano erupting, his energy burst forth in a spiraling surge.

The force of the attack was catastrophic. Even legendary warriors had used this technique to defy gravity and reverse the flow of mighty waterfalls. Against a brute relying solely on strength like Stone Man, the result was inevitable.

The impact launched Stone Man like a meteor. His massive body crashed through two abandoned warehouses in the distance, reducing them to rubble. Amid the cacophony of collapsing buildings, Stone Man disappeared beneath a mountain of debris.

"Now it's over," Alex declared with a satisfied grin, brushing the dust from his hands.

He waited for a response but was met with silence. Frowning, he muttered, "I didn't kill him, did I?"

Worried, Alex activated his Hawkeye Vision. Peering through the wreckage, he quickly located Stone Man, unconscious but alive.

Stone Man's rock-like body had absorbed much of the damage, ensuring his survival even after such a brutal assault.

"Phew, close call!"

Relieved, Alex scanned the area. Seeing no witnesses, he sighed. "If anyone saw this, I'd never hear the end of it!"

Determined to avoid further trouble, Alex approached the wreckage and began clearing the debris. Although Stone Man's durability ensured he wasn't crushed, suffocation was still a concern.

Standing over the pile, Alex unsheathed his katana. Activating his Ghost Eye technique, he swung down with precision.

"Shingetsuryuu Ultimate Technique: Rock-Cutting Blade!"

A dazzling arc of light cut through the rubble, splitting it neatly in two. Stone Man was revealed beneath the debris, his massive form entirely intact.

Alex couldn't help but marvel. "This guy is ridiculously tough. Not a single scratch!"

Shaking his head, he muttered, "Guess this is payback for provoking him in the first place."

Hoisting Stone Man over his shoulder, Alex surveyed the devastated area. The warehouses had been flattened, leaving a vast, barren landscape. In the distance, police sirens grew louder.

"Time to leave."

Stowing his katana, Alex disappeared into the shadows, carrying Stone Man with him.
