Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Do You Want to Try?
Noah's small goal wasn't really exaggerated. Reaching the first level wasn't anything remarkable—it simply meant that he had progressed from a mere apprentice to an actual magician.
Or rather, in this country, it would be more accurate to say he had become a wizard. A wizard who graduated normally from Hogwarts would typically be around the second or third level, while the more outstanding ones could reach the fourth level!
As for professors like Dumbledore, they were easily at the fifth or sixth level—or even higher.
Noah felt that if he couldn't even achieve this much, then he had truly wasted his opportunity after crossing over. More than that, he would have wasted the system that came with him.
Even if he hadn't chosen to travel to this world, he couldn't bring shame to the title of a transmigrator, right?
Two months passed, and Noah's life remained quite monotonous. He attended classes diligently and spent his free time in the system space, reading books and gathering magic.
Since entering the system space required him to appear asleep in the real world, it wasn't long before Evan and the others started to worry about him.
To them, unexplained drowsiness was a classic sign of being cursed—after all, no one dozed off so frequently without reason.
Noah didn't realize what was happening at first, but then he noticed his roommates constantly researching books on curses, and he finally understood.
"I say, what exactly are you three up to?"
"Noah, don't panic, we're just looking up information about possible curses."
"...What curse?"
"You, obviously! You keep getting sleepy all the time, especially around noon and at night. And you sleep like the dead! That can't be normal!"
Noah couldn't help but laugh. His roommates were truly something else.
But he was a little touched—after all, it was nice to have people worry about him.
In the end, Noah had to sit them down and explain that his excellent sleep quality was the real reason. Though skeptical, the three eventually let it go.
"Honestly, guys—if I were cursed into constant drowsiness, wouldn't I also be sluggish and weak during the day? But look at me, I'm perfectly fine!"
"Well… that does make sense, but are you sure you're not cursed?"
"Of course! I was a Muggle before coming here. Who on earth would waste time cursing me? I'm not Harry Potter, after all!"
The three exchanged glances, scratched their heads, and finally admitted he had a point.
That finally put an end to their "curse investigation," but it also made Noah more cautious. He decided to stop being so obvious about his noon naps—after all, loving to study was one thing, but he didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to himself.
Besides, Noah felt there was no real need to rush. He had already made significant progress in just two months.

Name: Noah Finniel
Age: 11 years old
Mage Level
Order:0 Rank:4
Noah glanced at his stats and felt quite pleased.
He wasn't entirely sure how the system determined his level, but since it was displayed on his panel, he trusted it to be accurate.
"Maybe it's just that low-level wizards advance quickly… or maybe my talent is already off the charts?"
Noah smirked slightly at the thought. After all, it was rare for someone to reach Rank 4 in less than two months. Even if it was just apprentice-level magic, it was still impressive.
After gathering his things, he followed his roommates to Charms class.
The Charms classroom was located on the left-hand side of the fourth floor. Nearby, there was a trophy room displaying an array of awards—trophies, shields, medals, and statues. The glass cases even contained a list of all the former Head Boys and Head Girls of Hogwarts.
Of course, none of that particularly interested Noah. What caught his attention the most was the corridor on the right—the legendary forbidden corridor!
Professor Dumbledore had even warned at the start of term: "Anyone who does not wish to die a very painful death would do well to stay away."
"I'm really curious about what's in there. He practically invited us to investigate by emphasizing it like that," Evan muttered, occasionally craning his neck to sneak a glance in that direction.
"Evan, control your curiosity. We're better off not getting into trouble," Lance warned immediately.
"Relax, I'm not some reckless Gryffindor. I'm just saying—I'm not actually going to run in there," Evan shrugged, then turned to Noah. "Noah, Kenn, aren't you two even a little curious?"
"Instead of being curious about that, I'd rather focus on doing well in class and earning points for our House," Noah replied indifferently. "After all, this is our Head of House's subject."
Curious? Of course he was.
But that three-headed dog was very dangerous, and Noah had no interest in provoking it.
Sure, he was now a fourth-level magic apprentice, and thanks to the system library, he had access to plenty of useful spells. In fact, he had recently been reading a book called The Complete Guide to Magic Tricks.
Despite the title, the spells weren't for mere performance magic—they were real, low-level spells that had been classified as "tricks" due to their simplicity.
Still, he had already found a few offensive spells among them.
That was why he wasn't too afraid of the three-headed dog. But if that thing wasn't chained up… well, then he definitely wasn't messing with it.
"I think so too. If you're that desperate to know what's inside, why not convince some Gryffindors to check it out? I'm sure they'd be thrilled to go on an adventure," Kenn suggested slyly.
His words made Noah and the others turn to look at him.
Kenn frowned. "What? Why are you all staring at me?"
"Oh, nothing," Evan and Lance said in unison. "We just think you'd make an excellent Slytherin. Maybe you should run for Student Council President."
"Thank you, I'll consider it." Kenn grinned, then lowered his voice mischievously. "But seriously—do you want to give it a shot? I know a few Gryffindors who'd be very interested."
"Let's talk about it later," Noah said, smirking.
He found his roommates truly entertaining.
As for whether he wanted to investigate?
Noah felt no need. After all, Mr. Potter would inevitably get involved.
And when that happened, everyone would find out what was hidden in that corridor.
