Marvel: The Sorcerer in America

Chapter 35: Chapter 35: The Strange Operating Room

But that wasn't the end of it.

With a strong shove, Lance pushed the scarred man's hand away. In one quick motion, Lance grabbed a bottle of Chivas Regal from the bartender's hand and, with a sharp movement, slammed the bottle into the back of the disoriented man's head.

The scarred man staggered back, his head split open by the broken wine bottle. In an instant, he collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud, falling between the legs of his followers, as blood began to pour from the wound on his head.

Crack!

The man's followers immediately became targets for Lance's blows. They staggered back, some even falling with loud thuds. The most unfortunate of the group clutched his stomach, rolling on the floor in agony as he convulsed in pain.

The bartender's lips trembled in fear, his body shaking as he witnessed the horrific scene before him. He stared at the three men groaning on the ground, their bodies slumped in fear.

"Ah!!!" A woman's hysterical scream suddenly pierced the air, echoing and causing the entire room to fall silent for a moment, breaking the stillness and bringing everyone back to their senses.

The security guards outside heard the scream and quickly entered, batons in hand. When the burly security guard saw the three men lying on the ground, their bodies covered in wounds, he immediately drew his gun.

However, before they could raise their weapons and aim, Lance had already pounced on them like a cheetah hunting its prey. In an instant, Lance struck down several men indiscriminately, his movements so fast and lethal.

The explosion of broken muscles echoed one by one, the bodies of the powerful security guards being thrown like stones. They crashed through tables, scattering them into pieces, and their bodies slammed into nearby guests, causing blood to flow from their heads where they had been struck hard.

The nightclub instantly turned into a battlefield. Screams and chaos erupted, creating a turmoil like nothing seen before.

Someone screamed, and the frightened guests began rolling and crawling toward the exit, trying to escape the ongoing mayhem. Some tables and chairs were overturned by the forceful pushes, wine glasses shattered on the floor, while the bartender hid under the bar, too scared to even show his head.

Moments later, cautiously, the bartender peeked out from behind the bar. With a look of shock, he saw that the once grand nightclub was now in ruins. More than twenty security guards lay on the ground, their bodies covered in wounds and blood. The terrifying figure that had caused all the chaos—Lance—had long since disappeared.

The "South Front" that had destroyed Lance's store was now being repaid in kind, as Lance had come to destroy the "South Front" nest. But... this was just the beginning.

Rather than just beating up the foolish gangsters, Lance preferred to target the leader of the young gang.

With quick, determined steps, Lance moved through the twisting building like a maze, undeterred by anything in his path.

The information Vivi had provided, including a map, ensured Lance knew the layout here—except for the underground area, which remained a mystery, even to the CIA.

Guarding such a well-protected place must have some significant meaning to the "South Front." A place like this wasn't just a regular facility, and Lance knew that whatever they were planning was extraordinary. Only by destroying a place like this could Lance truly make them all feel unimaginable pain.

Far from the nightclub's main hall, a heavy silence enveloped the building behind him. The tense atmosphere seemed to warn that something big was waiting ahead.

Lance then moved in the darkness, proceeding cautiously, following the barely audible sound. His skilled steps brought him closer to the end of the building.

There were armed guards stationed in front of the elevator. The security was tight, but this didn't deter Lance.

"I hope there's no infrared detection here..." Lance mused for a moment, reminding himself to stay vigilant. Quickly, Lance drew an invisibility charm in the air and gently tapped it onto his body.

Though this invisibility charm was effective at hiding Lance from direct sight, it wasn't as powerful against modern technology. The bent light might be enough to avoid human surveillance, but if there were more advanced sensors, it could be a problem. Lance could only hope that the detection systems here weren't too strict. If not, Lance would have to force his way in.

As Lance was lost in thought, a young man in a doctor's uniform appeared and showed his ID to some of the guards on duty. Afterward, the man opened the elevator door and entered without hesitation.

Seeing the opportunity, Lance immediately followed the man, moving cautiously. It seemed that Lance didn't draw much attention, and he was able to slip inside without any issues.

Was it luck for Lance? Or was there another reason?

Lance touched his nose, feeling his sixth sense tingle. A strange feeling crawled through his body, and Lance knew that this might be his last chance. If he failed, getting in again would be much more difficult.

Suddenly, the elevator stopped.

The doors opened with a soft sound, revealing several fully armed guards inside. They seemed more prepared than Lance had anticipated.

This wasn't a military base. Was such excessive security truly necessary?

Lance furrowed his brow, carefully reading the situation. He followed the doctor in uniform down the narrow corridor, walking quickly yet calmly, making sure not to attract attention.

Eventually, the man reached two large metal gates. Without hesitation, the man entered a password, and the metal doors slowly began to open, revealing a dimly lit, empty space beyond. The atmosphere grew even more mysterious, as though hiding a great secret within.

It appeared to be an operating room.

The room was relatively spacious, with only a hospital bed in the center. Shadowless lights hung above the bed, illuminating the cold, sterile environment. Two doctors in surgical scrubs appeared to be working nervously, their faces tense as if they were aware of something extremely important happening.
