Marvel: Tony Stark's Journey in the Omniverse

Chapter 10: Chapter 9: Revelations and Warnings

Tony sat in the lavishly decorated study of the Stark estate, staring at the expectant faces of his parents and Jarvis. He had planned this conversation meticulously, but there was still an unease in his gut.

"Mom, Dad, Jarvis... I have a confession to make."

Howard smirked and leaned forward. "You knock a girl up, son?"

Maria gasped, while Tony sputtered before breaking into laughter. "God, no! Dad, what the hell, I'm not even a teenager!"

Howard chuckled, clearly entertained by his own joke, but Maria shot him a warning glance before turning back to Tony with an expectant look.

Tony composed himself. "I've discovered a new facet of my powers. You both knew about my teleportation as a child, but you never really asked how far I could push it."

Howard's smirk faded into a serious expression. "Tony, what did you do? Where did you go? You didn't leave the house, did you?"

Tony smiled wryly. "Dad, I can go farther than that."

Maria leaned in. "Across states?"

"Farther."

Howard's eyes narrowed. "Across countries?"

Tony shook his head. "Farther."

Jarvis, ever the logical one, chimed in. "Master Tony, could you cross the sea?"

Tony leaned back and smirked. "Think bigger."

Howard stood up abruptly, realization dawning on his face. "The whole planet at your fingertips…"

Tony simply smiled. "Not just that."

Howard's breath hitched. "The universe?!" He ran a hand through his hair. "These are dangerously broken abilities, Tony."

Tony shook his head. "Dad, you're still not thinking big enough." Howard's face went pale. He sat back down, his voice barely above a whisper. "The multiverse…?"

Tony nodded. "Yes. And beyond that, I believe I can travel the Omniverse."

Silence settled over the room. Howard looked deeply troubled, Maria seemed overwhelmed, and even Jarvis paused in thought.

Howard was the first to speak. "That's just a theory… something a few S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists have barely begun discussing. The public doesn't even know about the multiverse, let alone an Omniverse."

Tony exhaled, leaning forward. "And yet, I'm living proof that it exists. But there's more you need to know. I see things when I travel. Glimpses of information about where I'm going, you could call it a sort of cosmic intuition." (A bold-faced lie, but they didn't need to know that.) "And when I return… I sometimes see possibilities. Things that might come to pass, or might not."

Howard's eyes darkened. "What did you see?"

Tony hesitated, meeting his father's gaze with a seriousness that made the air feel heavier. "Your death."

Maria gasped, her hands instinctively clutching her husband's arm. Howard remained still, eyes locked on his son's.

Tony continued. "All of you. I saw the future where you die. Not just possibilities, but real outcomes that could happen."

Howard's jaw clenched, and Maria visibly trembled. Jarvis remained silent, though his processing light flickered rapidly.

Howard finally spoke, his voice measured. "How?"

Tony sighed. "Different ways. Some of it is tied to your work with S.H.I.E.L.D., some of it is tied to Stark Industries, and some…" He looked at Maria. "Some of it is just senseless violence. A world that grows darker and crueler over time."

Maria swallowed hard, and Howard's fists clenched. "We need to be prepared."

Tony nodded. "That's why I'm telling you this now. We have time. Time to change things, to take precautions. But we can't ignore what's coming."

Howard inhaled deeply and stood. "Alright, son. If what you're saying is true… we need a plan."

Tony smirked. "Already working on it. But first, I need your trust. There's a lot more I need to tell you."

Howard looked at Maria, then back at his son, nodding. "Then let's get to work."
