Chapter 33: Chapter 31: Call the FBI!
I have no energy do write or edit today but here we are anyways still doing it! I spent my day running errands instead of writing or editing because I am going out of town on the 10th. Also please don't assume Tony gets a massive harem of girls because of what happens below. I was just having a bit of fun writing this. I'd like to thank the following for powerstones: mn0235, ASURA69s, Jimmy_Kibble, Ben_Olds,, Kaiser_Kaier, FlyingKite and Rex_of_dreams!

Storm and Jean Grey had now been officially adopted by Maria Stark, much to her delight. She absolutely adored them, fussing over them as if they had been her own daughters from birth. Tony, in turn, decided it was time to introduce them to his little group of scientist prodigies—because everyone needed more friends, right? What followed, however, was something he had not anticipated.
The introductions started off well enough, with Storm and Jean getting to know Alyssa Moy, Maya Hansen, and Susan Storm. However, things quickly escalated into an argument that left Tony feeling like he was in the middle of a very, very strange battlefield. Storm and Jean, with all the confidence in the world, declared themselves to be Tony's girlfriends. This, of course, horrified Alyssa, Maya, and Susan, who promptly declared that they should be his girlfriends instead. Their reasoning? "Smart people should stick together!" To which Jean and Storm scoffed and replied, "Well, we have superpowers, and powered people should stick together!" The other girls were not amused. The boys, meanwhile, did not care at all. They were too busy building weapons and suits of armor, like normal eight-year-olds. But girls matured faster than boys, and apparently, they had already decided that Tony's future romantic life was a subject of great importance.
Tony, looking between them all with rising trepidation, rubbed his temples. "What do we even do as boyfriend and girlfriend?" The girls all stared at him as if he were an idiot before one of them finally answered. "We hold hands, obviously. And maybe even hug!" The last word was spoken with a dreamy sigh. The others immediately echoed their agreement with excited nods and bright eyes. Tony sighed in relief. "Oh, thank God." He quickly gave each of them a hug, hoping it would settle the matter. "There, all better. No more fighting. Now, can we move on to actual important things?" He still received some lingering glares, but for the most part, the matter seemed settled—for now.
With that small crisis averted, Tony turned to the progress of his little group of geniuses. He needed updates on what everyone was working on. Storm and Jean had been studying hard, not just with their tutors but also under the watchful eye of Shifu Luo Feng. The martial arts master had taken a particular interest in the two girls, treating them as personal projects. His belief was simple: Before you harness your powers, you must first harness yourself. He had started them on the five Shaolin forms—each teaching a fundamental principle of movement, power, and discipline. The conditioning was grueling, but their progress was remarkable. The meditation exercises helped Jean keep the Phoenix Force's whispers at bay, allowing her to strengthen her telepathic and telekinetic abilities without fear. Storm was learning to form a deeper connection with the atmosphere and nature itself, practicing fine control over the weather rather than simply summoning storms through emotion. They were both growing into their power, and it was fascinating to watch.
While Victor von Doom and Reed Richards always butted heads, Victor and Ivan Vanko had become fast friends, united in their belief that real men not only wore armor but also built it themselves. Ivan was designing a suit of powered armor equipped with electrified whips—his personal "Whiplash" armor. Doom, on the other hand, was crafting something far more refined—armor enhanced with superhuman strength, flight, and concussive blast capabilities. Both suits were powered by miniaturized Arc Reactors, courtesy of Tony. After all, he wasn't stingy. Tony himself had been avoiding making armor, knowing he was still growing. But considering his dangerous omniversal travels, he was starting to think it might be time to reconsider that decision.
Reed Richards was, unsurprisingly, building a portal—to somewhere. "I think it leads to somewhere," Reed had said, eyes gleaming with excitement. Tony had immediately assigned Nexus to keep a very close watch on Reed. The boy had an alarming tendency to activate things without proper safety measures.
Bruce Banner, inspired by the 24th chromosome research and the Super Soldier Serum, had started studying gamma radiation. "I want to be a superhero," he had said with determination. He theorized that gamma exposure, properly controlled, could push human physiology beyond its limits without mutagenic instability. Tony had simply given him a wary look.
Henry McCoy was diving deep into mutant genetics. So deep, in fact, that he had already activated his own x-gene—which resulted in his transformation into a small, furry blue creature. He was thrilled. Now, he was attempting to push his mutation even further, eager to understand the full potential of the X-gene and how it could be used to enhance physical and mental performance without unwanted side effects.
Otto Octavius had begun construction of a tritium-powered fusion reactor. "The power of the sun in the palm of my hand," he had declared dramatically. His goal was to create a self-sustaining energy source that could revolutionize power production. Tony had patted his shoulder. "You'll go far, kid."
Curt Connors, despite still having both arms, was already developing his signature Connors Formula. The idea? A serum that could fuse genetic traits between species. Tony had immediately put him under Nexus surveillance. No lizard people on his watch. That didn't stop Tony from fantasizing about other potential applications, though. If they could get their hands on the DNA of someone like Odin or even a Celestial… Or, if they were really dreaming big—the Emperor of Mankind from Warhammer 40K. But that was a suicide mission for another day.
Phineas Mason was tinkering away, obsessed with recreating smaller, more portable versions of the BFG (Bio Force Gun). He was very enthusiastic about weaponry. Maya Hansen was working toward hacking the human body itself—on her way to developing Extremis, a nanotechnology-based enhancement system that could push human regeneration and durability far beyond their natural limits. Alyssa Moy was focused on terraforming technology, researching ways to make inhospitable environments livable. Susan Storm had dedicated herself to human biology, particularly the potential of unlocking the full capabilities of the human mind through advanced neurogenetic research and cosmic radiation.
And last but not least—Maria Stark. Maria had, over the years, thrown herself into botany and genetic engineering. Now, she was studying the flowers of Krakoa. Her latest breakthrough? Three revolutionary pharmaceuticals—a universal antibiotic, a cure for all mental afflictions, and a drug that extended human lifespan. "Therapists are going to hate me," Maria had mused. Tony had simply grinned. "That's the price of progress."
With everyone hard at work, Tony couldn't help but feel satisfied. The Fortress of Science was thriving. And he was just getting started. It may be time to start upgrading it to the plan I like to call The Technocracy. But first, the Universe awaits!
