Marvel: Trading with Worlds

Chapter 312: C200

Diamanti's strength is not weak—in fact, he can be considered one of the strongest in the first half of the Grand Line. He also possesses two types of Haki.

However, the power of the Thunder Fruit is simply too overwhelming. Kain merely manipulated the bioelectricity in Diamanti's body, delivering a powerful shock to his internal organs, brain, and blood vessels, causing him to faint instantly.

And this was only the most basic application. Kain had trained extensively to reach this level.

Once he mastered more precise control over bioelectricity, he would be able to alter Diamanti's five senses, consciousness, and memories—turning him into nothing more than a puppet.

Diamanti's sudden collapse shocked Gladius. They had come here representing Doflamingo, yet one of them had been detained while the other was knocked unconscious.

"You… You have some nerve! We are the Donquixote Family!"

"Shut up unless you want to stay too."

Crackling!

Before Gladius could finish his threat, Kain calmly interrupted him. Four solid bolts of lightning flickered around his body, making Gladius' heart skip a beat.

Thinking fast, Gladius grabbed the unconscious Diamanti, who was still foaming at the mouth, and bolted for the exit. As he ran, he shouted, "I'll report this to the young master! The Donquixote Family won't let you off so easily!"

"How dare he threaten the boss before leaving? Want me to take care of him?"

Nico Robin stepped forward and asked, lowering her gaze to Kain. However, she quickly noticed that he had reached out to hold Baby-5's hand. The cigarette-wielding woman blushed furiously, too flustered to even care about her fallen comrade.

'A strange woman has met a perverted boss…' Robin mused. Perhaps Kain hadn't recruited Baby-5 for her Devil Fruit ability after all, but simply because he wanted her.

"Leave them be. Let me know when Doflamingo shows up," Kain said, waving his hand dismissively.

Letting Gladius escape was beneficial—someone needed to deliver the message. He was actually looking forward to Doflamingo coming for him.

Over the past month, Kain had practiced various applications of lightning and magnetic fields. His most useful developments so far were physical immunity and the electromagnetic barrier for resisting mental attacks.

Now, he just needed a Conqueror's Haki user to test the barrier's effectiveness.

As for offensive capabilities, he had only developed electromagnetic projectiles and direct lightning strikes so far. Recently, he had focused more on refining his control over magnetic fields.

The Thunder Fruit had countless possible applications, but he could only improve one step at a time.

"Young master will come after you… All my previous fiancés were killed by him. You need to be careful," Baby-5 said softly.

Still holding Kain's hand, she squeezed it tightly, worry evident in her gaze—even as her eyes shimmered with heart-shaped pupils.

After all, this was the first time such a handsome man had ever needed her. Compared to Kain, her previous fiancés might as well have been Sea Kings.

Kain said indifferently, "It doesn't matter. I'll deal with him. By the way, would you like to see the room I prepared for you? If you want, I can also have Robin send you some of the most fashionable clothes."

After speaking, he stood up and casually draped an arm around Baby-5's shoulders. She was shorter than Nico Robin and about the same height as Kain, making the gesture feel quite natural.

Kain was also curious to see if Baby-5 would resist. Yet, as he walked out with her in his arms, she showed no intention of pulling away. Instead, she gazed at him with a mix of shyness and concern.

She's really naive—almost too much so.

Kain had a feeling that, with just a little coaxing, she wouldn't refuse him at all—not even in bed. Of course, he told himself, 'I'm only interested in Baby-5's Weapon-Weapon Fruit ability… Definitely not her slender white thighs, round, snow-white curves, or those sexy red lips.'

"Robin, help Baby-5 pick out a wardrobe of clothes that fit her. No… never mind. I'll take her shopping myself later."

"I see, boss."

Nico Robin sighed helplessly upon hearing Kain's words. She suddenly had the urge to go ahead and buy all the fashionable clothes available in Rainbase first.

"Dover… we failed. Sorry."

As soon as he woke up, Diamanti grabbed the transponder snail and reported to Doflamingo about their humiliating defeat in Alabasta. However, only moments later, his speech began to slur, and he started drooling uncontrollably.

"But… it might be a side effect… Th-thank… you… for a moment, Dover… He might be… Thunder Fruit…"

Gladius continued the report, stepping in when Diamanti succumbed to the lingering effects of the bioelectrical disturbance Kain had inflicted on him.

After listening to them, the transponder snail's face shifted to reflect Doflamingo's signature grin.

"Fufufufu… So, you're telling me that this new Shichibukai not only rejected my trade proposal but also took Baby-5 and left you both beaten and humiliated, Diamanti?"

"Yes, Dover," Diamanti gritted out. "It seems like he had his eyes on Baby-5 for a while. At first, they didn't even want to see us. But after he saw Baby-5, he immediately sent word to Mage, and then…"

After a short rest, Diamanti finally regained some clarity. The bioelectrical disturbance had left him feeling like his body no longer belonged to him. His entire nervous system had been thrown into disarray.

"The next time we face him, we must shield ourselves with Armament Haki from the start."

"Dover, let's go to war!" Gladius declared. "This man has completely disrespected the Donquixote Family. He doesn't take you seriously at all! I've recovered now, and I'll personally teach this so-called Shichibukai a lesson!"

Doflamingo's smile widened as his voice came through the transponder snail.

"Diamanti… Do you really think we should go to war?"

"Of course!" Diamanti gritted his teeth. "Not only did he humiliate us, but he also stole from the Donquixote Family! Even the Marines won't interfere. And besides… we might even uncover the secrets of his weapons factory."

"Then let's go to war."

Doflamingo chuckled darkly. "I can't argue with your reasoning. And more than that… I'd love to see the expressions on the faces of the World Government when they lose two Shichibukai in such a short time. Hehehe… Diamanti, I'll be in Alabasta as soon as possible."

After speaking, Doflamingo ended the transponder snail call.

Diamanti's expression lit up with excitement as he turned to Gladius. "Let's investigate this guy's munitions factory, as well as Sky Island and Ark Maxim. These are all things that could greatly strengthen the Donquixote Family.

Once the so-called 'Demon Mage' is dead, all of it will belong to us."

"No problem. Leave it to me, Diamanti."

Both men grinned cruelly. Since this new Shichibukai was so uncooperative, they would make sure the so-called Kain Chamber of Commerce vanished completely.

The Donquixote Family had a long-standing tradition: revenge was never delayed. It was that very principle that had allowed them to rise as one of the underground kings of the New World, with hands in everything from arms dealing to the slave trade.

Baby-5 knew all too well how terrifying the Donquixote Family could be. None of her previous fiancés had survived past the next day. But this time, she didn't want to see Kain—who seemed like the perfect marriage candidate—die at Doflamingo's hands.

So, she kept warning him.

"Mr. Pent, Doflamingo is very powerful. When the time comes, I'll protect you~"

Before she could finish, her rhythm was completely thrown off by a wandering hand creeping up her waist. Flustered, she quickly changed the subject.

"Mr. Pent, we're not married yet."

"But I need you, Baby-5," Kain said smoothly. "Stay with me. Leave the Donquixote Family and come to me."

Baby-5's eyes immediately turned into red hearts. Kain's need for her made her dizzy with happiness, almost to the point of fainting.

"Yes! But… the young master…"

Kain interrupted her, leaning in to whisper softly against her ear.

"It's okay. I'll take care of it."

Baby-5 was too easy to persuade. A simple marriage proposal was usually enough to win her over. And with Kain's appearance and charisma, he had an even greater effect on women. Facing his request, there was simply no way she could refuse.

"Boss?"

A new voice suddenly interrupted them. Kain glanced up and saw Nico Robin standing in the doorway.

"Robin? When did you get here? What's the matter?"

Kain casually lifted Baby-5 off his lap and stood up, acting as if nothing had happened.

Robin gave him a quick glance before speaking.

"There's news that the Donquixote Family is returning from the New World to the first half of the Grand Line. They're expected to arrive at Alabasta's port in about half a day."

She paused before adding, "They've sent at least five high-ranking officers… along with hundreds of combat personnel."

Kain chuckled. "He's fast. Let me know when they arrive at the port. Alabasta is developing well—I'd rather not start a war in its territory."

Robin frowned slightly. "Boss, you do realize that the World Government can intervene in battles between Shichibukai, right?"

Kain grinned. "Robin, can't you tell? This is exactly what I want."

The next second, lightning flashed through the room. In an instant, Kain appeared behind Robin, placing a hand lightly on her shoulder. She was a little taller than him, but he didn't seem to mind.

"Don't worry. I won't lose," he assured her. "You can stay here with Baby-5."

Robin was briefly relieved—until she heard that last part.

Her expression darkened. Now she really wanted to see her boss suffer.

"Boss, why don't you tell me Doflamingo's whereabouts before the fight?" she asked innocently.

"Absolutely not, Robin."

Kain immediately refused, smiling. "But… if I return victorious, and I get to enjoy a nice, long massage… maybe I'll remember the location of the third Poneglyph."

Robin's eye twitched.

"Oh, and if the Marines come looking for me later, help me stall them, will you?" Kain added casually.

The World Government had established the Seven Warlords of the Sea to maintain balance by hunting pirates in the Grand Line. As Doflamingo had pointed out earlier, if two Shichibukai were eliminated in a short span of time, it would throw everything into chaos—even for the World Government.

So, once they got word of Doflamingo's movements, the Marines would try to intervene.

However, because of Doflamingo's special status, they wouldn't be able to stop him outright. Instead, they would likely seek out Kain first.
