When Tsunade saw the person Kain was leading, she immediately kicked him in anger.

This situation was already embarrassing enough—how could he let her student, Nono, find out about it?

She even used a bit of strange force in her kick, but Kain had anticipated it and partially neutralized the impact in advance. 

When Tsunade and Nono saw his body momentarily turn into lightning, they were both surprised. It looked similar to Kirigakure's Technique, but in reality, it was a secret technique of the Hozuki Clan.

Yakushi Nono nodded. "Understood, don't worry. Lately, I've been finding some promising talent at the orphanage. If they graduate from Konoha's Shinobi Academy, they should at least reach the level of Elite Chunin. In the future, they might even become your greatest assets, Boss."

When it came to intelligence and strategy, Yakushi Nono was the most knowledgeable. If she worked together with the Red Queen, they could practically replace Kain in most situations—except for high-end combat power.

He intentionally left out any mention of Jiraiya and instead shifted the focus to the biomechanical warriors, successfully diverting Orochimaru's attention.

"Are the humanoid biomechanical warriors really that strong?" Orochimaru mused. "Still, I believe pure biological evolution would be superior to mechanical adaptability. I need to study this further. By the way, can you give me more of the Three Tails' chakra?"

Realizing he was still missing a significant amount of Three Tails chakra for his experiments, Orochimaru grinned at Kain. He had no shortage of Eight Tails chakra; by cultivating the body tissues he had obtained, he could continuously extract more. However, the Three Tails was a different story.

Kirigakure had been searching for the beast's whereabouts for a long time without success. Orochimaru hadn't expected Kain to acquire it ahead of them.

Hearing this, Orochimaru also considered the possibility. "That does seem likely… but Konoha has already cremated the bodies. Teacher Sarutobi made a decisive move, shifting all the blame onto Danzo before his death."

He paused, then added, "Now, I'm actually more worried about Danzo's safety."

"If he actually brings Danzo here, will you exchange him for the bounty?"

The Four Clans had suffered heavy losses, and even the Hokage was not an easy target—otherwise, it would seem like he was merely bullying the weak.

"I'll eradicate the underground gold exchange immediately," Kain said with a chuckle. "An evil organization like that should have been wiped out long ago. If you have any business in the future, just come directly to the ninja villages."

Although 500 million taels meant nothing to him, Kain never wasted money carelessly. If he didn't receive a proper report, he would rather throw the money into the sea than spend it blindly.

Orochimaru asked, "If you're staying in the village, I'll keep an eye on a few ninjas for you. Do you need anything else?"

"That's enough," Kain replied. "None of them have the ability to cause trouble. Their influence will only shrink further with time. Those without talent or vision will find their world becoming smaller and smaller. Eventually, they'll be forced to muster up the courage to change their fate—but all they'll get in return is disappointment."

He smiled and continued, "I'll be heading back. I'll leave things here to you."

With that, Kain used Apparition to return to the capital of the Land of Fire.

Before leaving, he naturally wanted to finalize his plans and spend time with his family.

Some time later, Konan from the Akatsuki organization paid him a visit. That was when Kain learned of Yahiko's death. The promise Yahiko had made, along with Akatsuki's lingering debt, would have to wait a little longer.

After experiencing Yahiko's death, Konan became noticeably calmer—especially since he had died saving her. A lingering guilt weighed on her heart.

To be honest, Kain preferred the later version of Akatsuki—the mercenary group—over its original "peace-seeking" ideology. A well-placed black ops unit could handle a lot of dirty work for him. And when they were no longer useful, he could simply discard them while reaping the benefits.

Kain briefly considered killing Uchiha Obito but ultimately decided to hold off. Obito's most troublesome ability—his Hollow-like intangibility—was useless against Kain. In fact, without it, Obito wouldn't even be able to escape from him.

He was like an ant in Kain's palm—one that could be crushed at any time.

However, keeping Obito alive was far more useful than killing him. By manipulating both him and Nagato, Kain could use them to throw the entire ninja world into chaos.

Nagato, with his natural inclination for leadership and his formidable Rinnegan, would never be dismissed as a mere pawn once he fully mastered his abilities.

Agricultural restructuring, industrial support, taxation—nearly every policy he introduced cut into the wealth of the nobles. At first, there was resistance, but those who opposed him quickly found themselves stripped of their assets and imprisoned. The rest learned to keep quiet.

With both power and military strength in his hands, Kain could do almost anything he wanted. As long as he didn't implement absurd policies—like "Primary Night Power"—Konoha and its massive military force remained loyal to him.

Opposing the daimyo's policies?

Did they have their own ninja village to back them up?

The surviving nobles of the Fire Nation soon remembered the terror of being ruled by the previous daimyo. And once again, they found themselves bowing their heads in obedience, unable to resist the weight of Kain's authority.

Aside from the ongoing reforms in the Land of Fire, Kain wasted little time.

Kushina knew he might have to leave for a while, and she often acted like a fierce warrior, venting her frustrations. However, her stamina was no match for Kain's, and she was left completely exhausted after just two rounds.

Meanwhile, Nono had almost developed "rabbit eyes" from frustration. She was convinced there was nothing physically wrong with her, so she even asked Tsunade for details about that night—only to end up speechless and embarrassed when Tsunade angrily drove her away.
