Marvel: Transmigrated with Travelling Frog?!

Chapter 234: Chapter 234: Taking Bucky Away

Seeing his familiar comrade standing before him, Captain America could barely keep his fists steady. But the cold, indifferent look in Bucky's eyes brought him heart-wrenching pain. In his last memories before being frozen, Bucky was his closest friend, his most trusted ally, and unwavering support.

How did it come to this?

Captain America's mind swirled with confusion, but Bucky wasn't one to stand still. With a sudden roll, he swung his mechanical arm at Captain America.

Before the strike landed, a heavy clang rang out—Tony Stark intercepted the punch with both hands.

"Uh, Cap? I need you to focus. Whoever this guy is, we need to handle him first, then figure things out."

Captain America snapped out of his daze and replied urgently, "We can't kill him! I'm taking him with me."

Tony sighed and backed off reluctantly. Bucky glanced around and noticed the lizardmen had all been dealt with, and the Avengers now surrounded him. Seeing the massive Hulk still smashing things in the background, Bucky seemed to decide on a tactical retreat.

He pulled a smoke grenade from his belt and threw it into the crowd. Thick smoke quickly filled the area, obscuring everyone's vision. Bucky fired a grappling line onto the military base's wall, preparing to escape.

Tony reacted swiftly, firing a laser that severed the line.

Bucky fell back to the ground with a heavy thud. His mechanical arm emitted a powerful electromagnetic pulse, causing the Avengers' earpieces to overheat and abruptly lose signal.

Captain America rushed forward and grabbed Bucky's mechanical arm, pinning it firmly. But then Bucky locked eyes with him. A surge of electricity burst from the arm, blasting Captain America backward.

Seeing this, Tony frowned. Scanning Bucky's mechanical arm through his suit, he noticed it was pre-programmed to emit electrical charges and electromagnetic pulses. However, it had no effect on his armor.

"Let me handle this," Tony said, flying directly toward Bucky.

Aware of the connection between Bucky and Captain America, Tony refrained from using his weapons and instead grappled with Bucky using the suit's strength. But the mechanical arm was overwhelmingly powerful, ripping through the faceplate of Tony's helmet.

The other Avengers could no longer stand idly by. Black Widow and Hawkeye attacked from both sides, pinning Bucky's legs. Captain America tackled Bucky head-on, locking his left arm firmly in place.

"Now!" Hawkeye shouted.

Tony understood immediately. Flames burst from the propulsion units on his feet, launching him forward. Bucky struggled against their combined efforts, but he couldn't break free. Tony delivered a precise punch to Bucky's head, knocking him unconscious.

Everyone finally exhaled a sigh of relief.

Tony turned to Captain America. "Who is he, Cap?"

Lifting Bucky's limp body, Captain America said, "His name is Bucky. He used to be my partner on missions. I don't know why he's here now."

A partner on missions?

The Avengers were stunned. They all knew Captain America had been frozen for decades, which meant Bucky was also from seventy years ago?

"How is that possible? How could someone survive for seventy years?" Tony was skeptical, but Captain America's unwavering expression left him no choice but to believe.

"Let's take him back first," Captain America said. "I suspect this has something to do with Hydra."

At that moment, Banner, now back to his usual self, approached. Hearing the suggestion, the group decided to head back to Avengers Tower with Bucky in tow.
