Marvel: Transmigrated with Travelling Frog?!

Chapter 237: Chapter 237: The Avengers' Plan

Inside Avengers Tower, Captain America laid out his entire plan. Though he couldn't be certain Bucky would be able to execute it flawlessly, it was their best shot at quickly exposing Hydra's infiltrators.

Hawkeye chimed in, "If Bucky just goes back like this, they'll definitely suspect something. We need to create some chaos first."

Black Widow nodded in agreement. The enemy was undoubtedly aware that Bucky had been captured. If he simply returned, it would arouse suspicion. The only plausible scenario was for him to escape.

Tony casually suggested, "That's easy. How about we blow this place up?"

"Are you insane?" Banner retorted.

Tony fiddled with his armored gauntlet and fired a laser from afar. The glass shattered instantly, catching everyone off guard.

"The party's started. Let's move."

Bucky took one last look at Steve, pulled out a specialized gun, and fired it at the wall. A rope shot out, and he leaped from the skyscraper. His dark silhouette cut through the air like an eagle.

The commotion at Avengers Tower was immediately noticed by onlookers. Explosions echoed from above as Iron Man soared into the sky, only to suddenly plummet, seemingly out of power.

From a distance, Black Widow watched with a resigned expression. "These guys are playing around too much," she muttered. Still, she acknowledged that such theatrics might just prevent suspicion.

After landing, Bucky commandeered a motorcycle from a bystander and sped toward S.H.I.E.L.D.

Meanwhile, Pierce was deep in thought, trying to strategize his response to the mounting public backlash. Suddenly, someone burst into his office and announced, "The Winter Soldier's signal is back online!"

"What?"

Pierce turned to his computer, where a red dot appeared on the screen. Seeing Bucky heading toward S.H.I.E.L.D., a wicked smile spread across his face.

"Send men to guard the building. Don't let him in."

Though his subordinates hesitated, they complied and hurried out.

Pierce picked up a newspaper and muttered coldly, "Bucky, at this point, you'll have to be sacrificed."

Five minutes later, the crowd surrounding S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters saw a group of black-suited agents emerge. Pierce appeared before them, smiling confidently.

This sight only fueled the public's anger. Many surged forward, crashing against the barricades, but they were quickly met with the ominous barrels of drawn guns.

Pierce stepped forward and said, "The arrested officials have no direct connection to S.H.I.E.L.D., but we do bear some responsibility. There are things you need to know."

Hearing that Pierce himself was about to spill secrets, reporters and media personnel surged forward.

Clearing his throat, Pierce glanced at the time. If his plan was on track, Bucky would arrive soon.

Pierce declared, "Some of the captured officials were spies. We've discovered that their leader has ties to Captain America."

One of his men stepped forward and projected a file onto the wall. It was Bucky's long-lost dossier. The document clearly detailed how Bucky had fought alongside Captain America.

The crowd, still reeling from the recent upheaval, began to murmur with doubt.

"Is the Captain a spy?"

"This guy is connected to those officials. If he's tied to the Captain, doesn't that mean the Captain knew about their corruption?"

"But… why hasn't the Captain said anything?"

Pierce smirked. This was exactly the reaction he wanted. As long as he could redirect public outrage away from S.H.I.E.L.D., he could continue to operate in the shadows.
