Chapter 350: Chapter 351: Planning to Conquer Earth
Inside the Sanctum Sanctorum, only Ancient One remained. For some reason, before even meeting Emperor, he kept envisioning the scene of the Time Stone disappearing.
After listening to Alan's words, Ancient One lifted his head and gazed at the control panel. Asking herself honestly, she felt much more at ease.
Perhaps it was because of Alan's presence—an unfathomable man had spoken so openly. What else was there to worry about?
At the same time, on the throne of Titan, Thanos—who was already terrifying in appearance—looked absolutely grim after hearing Ebony Maw's report.
Crack!
With a single squeeze of his massive palm, he shattered the armrest of his throne. The ground trembled, the walls crumbled—clear evidence of Thanos's foul mood.
"My great Lord Thanos, what happened to Black Dwarf? Has he not returned yet?" Ebony Maw, ever loyal, stretched out his hand and reported every detail regarding Nebula, word by word.
He then inquired about Black Dwarf, glancing around at his companions, yet Black Dwarf was nowhere to be seen. Had he not returned?
A chilling voice, piercing to the bone, rang out:
"Black Dwarf hasn't returned. His signal vanished without a trace in Asgard."
The woman standing at the side, cloaked in darkness, was none other than Proxima Midnight, the lover of Corvus Glaive and one of the Black Order's five generals.
Her eyes, black as night, burned with bloodthirsty intent. She immediately knelt on one knee and requested:
"Lord Thanos, Black Dwarf must have perished in Asgard. Please allow me to lead a team personally!"
It wasn't just about avenging Black Dwarf—her bloodlust ran deep in her very bones. She wanted to make the Asgardians regret it.
Becoming an enemy of Lord Thanos—what a foolish mistake!
"So…" Thanos slowly raised his hand, gesturing for Proxima Midnight to rise. "My dear children, Nebula and Gamora, have both betrayed me. Is that correct?"
Ebony Maw twisted his slender body, his eerie face contorting into an even more sinister smile.
"They will pay the price for their actions."
"There's no longer a need to attack Asgard. The most urgent matter now is finding Nebula and Gamora. They possess the stones."
Now that he had obtained one Time Stone, Thanos was impatient to collect the remaining ones. Compared to attacking Asgard, acquiring the stones was clearly more important.
He needed to carefully simulate the timeline and thoroughly study the Time Stone's energy.
Thanos shifted his strategy. Those pesky superheroes and that attention-seeking Emperor—they were all just Earthlings.
"First, we conquer Earth. That wretched planet is crying out in agony, begging for our help. Its greedy population continues to grow unchecked…"
Tears of false compassion welled in Thanos's eyes.
"Such worthless beings have no reason to continue existing."
Conquering the nine great star domains could wait. Those obstructive heroes—especially Emperor, who repeatedly stood in his way—had to be eliminated.
Thanos made up his mind.
"Ebony Maw, I'm entrusting this task to you once again. Go and throw the Avengers into chaos!"
Ebony Maw straightened his back. He hadn't expected to be sent to Earth once more.
"As you command, my esteemed Lord Thanos. I shall bring you their heads as an offering!"
Proxima Midnight frowned in displeasure, but she would never question Thanos's decisions. She believed that among everyone, she was the most devoted and loyal to him.
Without even settling down on Titan, Ebony Maw set off once again.
