Marvel Transmigration: I Possessed Iron Man

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: When the Wall Crumbles, Everyone Comes to Push

"That's right. The Osborn family has been practicing medicine for generations. Ever since Columbus set foot in the Americas, our family has been healing and saving lives across this land. Many of the indigenous people are loyal supporters of our company," Norman Osborn declared with a perfectly straight face.

If you traced back just three generations, his ancestors weren't healers — they were invaders. What they brought wasn't advanced medicine, but deadly plagues.

More than forty million Native Americans died from the diseases these invaders carried. A silent massacre without a single shot fired.

Every Native American probably dreamed of tearing these people apart, drinking their blood. Not cursing them daily was already restraint and he had the audacity to claim they were supporters?

But at this moment, Victor — physically broken and mentally crushed — had suffered a blow to the most vulnerable part of his pride. It was that moment when a man feels most empty, most desperate.

"Really? You can truly heal me?" Victor's voice trembled as he looked at Norman Osborn, eyes full of hope.

Poor Victor. He used to be a powerhouse, capable of going toe to toe with Tony Stark in Iron Man. If it hadn't been for Stark's oversized arc reactor, the Mark II Hellfire Armor alone wouldn't have been enough to defeat him. But now, faced with his own humiliating predicament, he was desperate enough to believe anything.

"Don't forget what Oscorp's core business is — bioengineering! We specialize in human genetics!" Norman's eyes lit up as he spoke about his field, radiating the smug confidence of a savior.

"Forget a man's most precious thing, even if all that was left of you was a head, I, Norman Osborn, could still build you a new body!" Honestly, when it came to bragging, Norman Osborn would gladly accept second place because no one dared claim first.

His lies flowed so naturally, you'd think he believed them himself.

"Miracle doctor, please, save this lost soul adrift in the mortal world," Victor pleaded, tears streaming down his face. It was enough to make anyone watching feel pity.

"Mr. Victor, as they say, a doctor must have compassion. The Osborn family could never bear to see a great entrepreneur like you suffer. Our mission has always been simple — let the people access safe, effective medicine. That is our life's pursuit!" Norman declared with the righteousness of a six-winged angel descending from the heavens, glowing with the pure radiance of... utter scum.

"Well said!"

"So touching!"

"Bravo!"

"No wonder he's the chairman of Oscorp — a true role model for us all!"

Just then, the young nurse who had left earlier returned, bringing a group of doctors with her. They arrived just in time to hear Norman's grand speech, and the room erupted into applause.

"Let's keep it low-key, alright? Whatever you do, don't film this and post it online. Don't call reporters from The Daily Planet. And definitely don't go around spreading my humble deeds. Fame and fortune — those are the two things I fear the most," Norman said with exaggerated humility as he accepted their praise.

"Mr. Osborn, we're the doctors making rounds. Would you mind stepping out for a moment? This concerns the patient's privacy," a Black doctor approached politely.

"Are you blind? Can't you see Mr. Victor and I are having an important conversation?" A flash of malice flickered across Norman's face.

"It's fine, Dr. Carter. Mr. Osborn is also a doctor. Maybe he really can heal my... younger brother," Victor said, his spirits lifted, filled with hope for life and the future.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Dr. Carter carefully examined Victor's "relative."

"Well? Dr. Carter, can your hospital treat it?" Victor asked eagerly.

"I'm truly sorry, Mr. Victor. My medical expertise is limited. Based on the current condition, our hospital has no effective treatment for your... sensitive issue," Dr. Carter replied cautiously, choosing his words with care.

"Haha, it's alright. I know my own situation. I wouldn't want to trouble you," Victor replied indifferently.

As expected — just a bunch of quacks. Using vague, dismissive words to brush people off. If you can't treat me, why even run a hospital? You might as well open a crematorium — at least that way, your incompetence wouldn't kill living people.

"My deepest apologies," Dr. Carter apologized again, then led the group of resident doctors away.

As their footsteps faded into the distance, Victor's expression darkened.

"Useless trash!" Victor roared and began smashing things in the room.

"Old friend, calm down. Don't blame them. They're just ordinary doctors. They'll spend their whole lives treating common illnesses. Real geniuses would never work in a place like this," Norman said, patting Victor's shoulder.

"Alright, let's talk about your dear nephew, Tony Stark."

"That little bastard! I want him dead!"

"Our company's stock is under a hostile takeover. I investigated, it's being orchestrated by Stark Industries. And you, my friend, are stuck here in the hospital. I have no doubt that bastard Stark is behind it," Norman growled through gritted teeth.

"What? He dared to make moves without the board's approval? I'm calling the other directors. I'll have him impeached and thrown out of Stark Industries!"

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"We're sorry, the number you have dialed is currently busy. Sorry, the phone you dialed is busy. Please try again later…"

"What's going on?" Victor muttered in confusion.

He picked up his phone and dialed his longtime lover's number.

"We're sorry, the number you have dialed is powered off. Sorry, the number you dialed is switched off…"

What the hell? Why had all his old contacts suddenly gone silent?

What happened? The apocalypse? A network outage?

He dialed number after number, but none connected until finally, one did. A junior secretary he had never taken seriously answered.

"Vice Chairman, all the senior staff have been bought out by Tony Stark. They've all gone home to retire. Also… please don't call me again. I don't want the Chairman to get the wrong idea."

Beep. Beep. Beep.

The line went dead.

Crack!

It was like lightning striking out of a clear sky.

Victor stood frozen in disbelief.

"How could this happen? What the hell happened in just one day? How did the whole company flip upside down?"

"And all those old employees who once swore loyalty to me… they all turned their backs?"

"Damn it!"

The brand-new iPhone in his hand smashed against the wall, shattering into a useless pile of metal and glass.

Norman Osborn quickly stepped forward. "What happened?"

"That little bastard! He took advantage of my absence to buy everyone's shares!"

"What?!" Norman's eyes widened.

"So fast? And no one opposed him? This is the United States, isn't this supposed to be the land of democracy?"
