Marvel Transmigration: I Possessed Iron Man

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: The General's Daughter

This guy is seriously handsome.

"These two monsters are downright disgusting." Aetheris flipped to the scene of Hulk and Abomination—their bodies colliding as blood and dirt flew everywhere in a brutal, savage fight.

Thank goodness I won't turn into something like that, he thought with relief.

His face was now plastered across the front page of The Daily Planet. Ordinary folks across the United States already knew about him. As for the countless hidden organizations lurking in the shadows—they had definitely taken notice.

The most famous of them, of course, was Marvel's top agency—S.H.I.E.L.D., officially known as the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division.

I wonder if that one-eyed director, Fury, has figured out that Iron Man is actually me.

Honestly, I can't wait to clash with the heavyweights of the Marvel universe.

Sure, this world is dangerous. But as the great leader once said, "There is endless joy in struggling against people, endless joy in struggling against nature."

And I, Tony Aetheris Stark, hereby declare—I'm going to take on the Marvel bigwigs with everything I've got!

"Jarvis, get me in touch with General Ross. We need to discuss the matter of his daughter's lifelong happiness," Aetheris said into his earpiece.

"Yes, sir."

"Connecting you to General Ross now."

Beep… beep… beep…

"Hello, this is General Ross. Who is this?" At that moment, Ross stood inside a military research lab, injecting serum after serum into Abomination's body.

Though his expression was cold and his heart even colder, Ross couldn't bear to let his prized subordinate, the so-called Soldier King, go to waste. This man was far more valuable than his so-called son-in-law—he was a specimen worth more than gold.

In Ross's own words, "What I hate most is waste. Trash is just treasure in the wrong place."

"How much longer until he can return to human form?" Ross asked Dr. Carter, the scientist responsible for the serum used on Banner.

"Soldier King's physique is quite unique. Combined with the massive doses of gamma reagent he's absorbed, I'll need to reconfigure the virus serum," Dr. Carter replied, adjusting his glasses.

Suddenly, a phone rang out—a ringtone with a distinct, exotic flair.

General Ross calmly pulled out his phone. An unknown number.

He was about to reject the call. Normally, no ordinary person had access to his private line. But on second thought, maybe it was worth hearing them out.

"Hello, General Ross. I'm the chairman of Stark Industries. My name is Tony Stark."

In America's high society, you might not know who the next President will be, but you'd never ignore the heir to Stark Industries.

As the largest arms supplier in the United States, Stark Industries was a behemoth no one dared to overlook.

"Ah, Mr. Stark. What brings you to call me at such a late hour?" Ross asked, puzzled. His specialty was genetic biology, focusing on human enhancement research.

Stark Industries, on the other hand, specialized in developing cutting-edge weapons and technology. Their fields didn't seem to overlap at all.

"General Ross, I'd like to invite you to visit my company. Who knows, we might discover opportunities for deeper collaboration," Aetheris said with a friendly smile.

"Well, that's unfortunate. I'm quite busy these days and won't be able to make the time," Ross replied flatly.

"My apologies, then. Goodbye." Aetheris hung up.

That old bastard! Turning down my kind invitation—who does he think he is?

But I'm not here for him. I'm here for his daughter. That tall, stunningly beautiful woman.

I was trying to make a good impression, make this easy. But if you won't give me that courtesy, don't blame me for taking matters into my own hands.

Time to get to work.

Aetheris turned the car toward Culver University.

Dr. Elizabeth Ross—Betty Ross—was a scientist and professor at Culver University, specializing in biology.

She had played a significant role in developing Dr. Banner's gamma serum.

That research ultimately led to Banner's transformation into the Hulk.

Such a woman, combining the beauty of a supermodel with the brilliance of a scientist, made Aetheris more than eager to meet her.

It wasn't that Aetheris was overly lustful—it was Marvel's fault for making all their women so ridiculously attractive.

Night had fallen, but Culver's campus was still brightly lit, its rich academic atmosphere lingering in the air.

Small groups of students could be seen scattered across the grounds, deep in study.

"The air of freedom… filled with the scent of knowledge." Aetheris finally had a rare moment to relax. The past two days had been packed tight.

The life of the wealthy was exhausting but wonderfully so. Every day felt like a new adventure.

Luxury cars, beautiful women, yachts, private jets… the temptations were endless.

A tech geek like Tony Stark naturally loved tinkering with advanced technology.

But Aetheris… well, he had a particular fondness for beautiful women.

"Hi, are you Mr. Stark?" A pretty, slender university student stopped Aetheris on the path.

"I am. Do you need something?" She wasn't his type anymore, but out of courtesy, he still paused.

"It's really you! That's amazing. I'm your biggest fan!" The girl practically squealed with excitement.

"Could you give me an autograph? I loved your article on controlled nuclear fusion. I truly believe that technology will be achieved within the next ten years"

Well, Aetheris found it hard to refuse women who admired his intellect so genuinely.

Would it hurt to admire my looks too?

After getting his autograph, the girl finally calmed down. "Mr. Stark, may I ask what brings you to our campus so late?"

"I'm looking for Professor Betty Ross. Could you tell me where she is?" Aetheris asked politely, flashing his signature gentlemanly charm.

"You mean Professor Betty Ross from the biology department? I'm actually her grad student. I'll take you to her." The girl's cheerful, confident demeanor showed no trace of nervousness, even in front of the famous billionaire.

Aetheris was more than happy to have a guide.

"Professor Betty Ross's office is just ahead. I'll leave you here. Goodbye." The girl rose slightly on her toes and left a gentle kiss on Aetheris's cheek.

"Oh… goodbye. Have a wonderful night," Aetheris replied with a slight grin, waving as she walked away.

The girl glanced back at him several times, reluctant to part.

Aetheris chuckled to himself. If he didn't have more important business tonight, he wouldn't have minded sampling that unique brand of "college snack" so famous on American campuses.

For someone like him, once just a penniless nobody to be kissed by a beautiful young woman… how the tables had turned.

This year, fortune had finally smiled on him.

Knock, knock, knock.

Aetheris gently knocked on the office door.
