Marvel Transmigration: I Possessed Iron Man

Chapter 46: Chapter 46: Public Execution by Humiliation

"This is North Korea!" Aetheris announced.

Some of the congressmen and military officials seated at the back had already sprung to their feet.

"Can you shut it off? Turn it off now!" The senator with the large nose on stage was visibly panicking. This wasn't how things were supposed to go.

"Here, take a look at Iran," Aetheris said, swiping his finger across the screen.

The robots displayed were flying around in complete chaos—more frenzied than a New Year's fireworks show.

Hans could no longer keep his composure. He rushed toward the screen, frantically searching for a power switch. The more he looked, the more flustered he became.

The absurd battle between the robots on screen had the audience caught between amusement and disbelief.

"There's no actual threat here. Is that... Justin Hans?" Aetheris maintained a serious expression, but inside he was struggling not to burst into laughter. Right then, Hans appeared on screen.

Turns out, he and the U.S. military had also been running robot tests—only their results were just as laughable as those from North Korea and Iran.

"Justin, you're live. Focus up!"

Hans barked at the robot, "Turn left! Turn right!"

Before he could finish, the robot spun around wildly—and half its body flew off.

Hans was unraveling. Never in his life had he felt such overwhelming humiliation in front of so many people.

He prided himself on image and reputation—yet today, Aetheris had taken that pride and shattered it under everyone's feet.

"Damn it! Damn it!" Hans snarled as he ripped the power cord from the socket.

Bzzt. The large screen went dark. Silence swept over the room. Head bowed, Hans returned to his seat—barely two meters away.

But for him, it felt like a march across centuries.

At that moment, he wished he had a bomb. He would've gladly blown the entire room sky-high.

This wasn't just embarrassment—it was public execution.

Aetheris continued without mercy.

"Most countries would need five to ten years. But Hans Industries? I'd give them at least twenty."

He was kicking a man while he was down—and Aetheris had perfected the technique.

"If I may add, the test pilot wasn't harmed," Hans tried to salvage what little dignity he had left.

But nobody cared anymore.

Only the successful get to speak. As for the failures? Sorry, what was your name again?

A congressman stood up and looked at Aetheris with a serious expression.

"Listen, young lady. Take my advice—the waters here run deep. You're in over your head."

Aetheris's eyes welled with tears. She nodded solemnly. "Thank you for your concern, Congressman. But it's fine. A man's got to carry his own weight."

"What does that mean?"

"I can stop a nuclear war," she said with a casual shrug.

"Iron Man is functional. We're secure. America is safe. And more importantly—"

"What?"

"No matter how deep the waters are, I can handle it. Want to buy my invention? Dream on!"

She raised a defiant middle finger to the congressman. "But I can still do you all a huge favor—I'm enough to maintain global peace all by myself!"

Whoa. Everyone stood up.

Who doesn't love a little personal heroism—especially in America?

"Screw you!" the senator exploded.

"Oh yes, yes! Screw you too!" Aetheris blew him a kiss, then took Pepper's hand and strode confidently out of the hall.

Pepper followed like a graceful little bird, every step in sync with Aetheris. And Aetheris walked like a triumphant general returning from war.

Riding the spring breeze with galloping hooves, he embraced all the triumph and beauty the world had to offer in a single day.

Damn it. He did it again.
