Marvel: Undercover in S.H.I.E.L.D., I'm So Evil

Chapter 155: Chapter 155

Kurohane offered a faint smile, his expression momentarily resembling an artist who had just completed a masterpiece. "Telepathy is so easy to use! No wonder Apocalypse insisted on choosing Professor X as his new body; it's just preposterous!"

However, Angel's mind was safeguarded by Apocalypse's defensive mechanisms. The moment anyone attempted to mentally control him, it would draw Apocalypse's attention, prompting him to initiate counter-mental manipulation. This kind of mental defense existed within the mind of every Horseman of Apocalypse. Yet, Magneto disliked anyone entering his thoughts. To honor this particular Horseman, whom he valued above all others, Apocalypse had used his reshaping abilities to craft a helmet for Magneto, one capable of defending against Telepathy. This was also the root of Magneto and Professor X's lifelong love-hate relationship. Without this helmet, the world's plot could never have moved forward!

Kurohane's luck was indeed good. Apocalypse had already begun the soul transfer ritual. Atop the Great Pyramid, the massive golden rhomboid cube radiated an eerie light, as if absorbing solar energy. A strange aura permeated the air!

Even though Apocalypse wasn't directly confronting Kurohane, who was using Telepathy, these defensive countermeasures still allowed Angel to regain his senses, his eyes blazing crimson!

"Despicable wretch! Who allowed you to enter my mind?!" Angel's voice boomed, thick with rage and disgust.

The enraged Angel completely disregarded the steel rebar impaling his body. He violently flapped his remaining wing and lunged at Kurohane. His feathers, sharp as blades, stabbed toward Kurohane's face. Kurohane tilted his head slightly, narrowly dodging Angel's desperate counterattack, and used the Holy Energy sword in his hand to slice through Angel's neck!

The system prompt sounded in Kurohane's mind right on time. This fake fan truly heard for the first time that the Mutant Angel's real name was this long! It clearly sounded like a noble's name. Perhaps he was some kind of rich second-generation heir. If he hadn't awakened the X-gene in his body and become a Mutant, he could have lived a life of daily debauchery, drowning in wine and luxury.

"What a pity. Don't become a Mutant in your next life," Kurohane murmured, devoid of any significant emotion.

Kurohane dealt with the aerial combatant among the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, then glanced at the other battlefields. Cyclops and Havok were fighting Storm. The three energy manipulators exchanged blows for a long time, destroying several buildings, but essentially caused no damage to each other. Honestly, if this rookie Cyclops hadn't dragged him down, Havok might have already taken out Storm!

As for Psylocke, Beast couldn't initially defeat her on his own, but when Deadpool rose from the ground, the battle suddenly took a bizarre turn. Deadpool's mouth never stopped, commenting on Psylocke's attire and appearance, spewing a dirty joke every three sentences and a Hell-themed pun every five. This immediately made Psylocke see red. The whip she originally used, formed from telekinesis, was now transformed into sharp blades, piercing several transparent holes through Deadpool's body. Even when Beast threw a large rock at her, she ignored it, merely dodging or cutting the projectile with an attack, then continued her fierce assault on Deadpool.

Deadpool's swordsmanship was actually always superb, and his reflexes unique. Otherwise, he wouldn't have the ability to slice bullets. It was only because he couldn't die no matter how much he messed around that these defensive methods had gradually been neglected by him. His fighting style had become a reckless approach similar to Wolverine's, using a mutually destructive approach to fight Psylocke to a draw. His right hand was cut off by Psylocke's telekinetic blade, while his left hand tightly grabbed Psylocke's waist, pulling her close, and then he delivered a ferocious headbutt to Psylocke, even shattering his own skull!

Seeing the two desperate maniacs lying together, Beast involuntarily swallowed hard.

Beast: "This guy, who'd even smash his own skull just to gain an advantage, is the real Beast, the true pervert!"

Just then, Nightcrawler also returned to the plane with Professor X, who had now gone bald. Jean Grey was exhausted, having guided Nightcrawler through her Telepathy while simultaneously helping Professor X resist Apocalypse's mental interference. Though she seemed motionless, she was already profusely sweating, her hair completely soaked!

"The Professor's been rescued, we need to retreat!" Jean used her Telepathy to contact everyone again. Her voice sounded weary yet exhilarated. Completing the mission on her first assignment felt incredible!

Beast pulled a steel bar from the ruins, securely bound the unconscious Psylocke, and then carried Deadpool toward the plane. Havok and Cyclops finally coordinated once, knocking Storm out of the sky again, leaving her in a pile of rubble, her fate unknown. Havok supported his brother, Cyclops, whose optical energy was depleted, and the Laser Brothers also rushed toward the plane, not forgetting to close the door as they entered!

Kurohane: "What the hell?! You're flying away without me?!"

Actually, Kurohane was mistaken about them. He himself had rejected Jean's Telepathy, so he hadn't heard the message that they needed to retreat immediately. This was also a pre-planned strategy. Before Professor X woke up, they absolutely wouldn't engage in direct conflict with Apocalypse. Run if they could!

Kurohane flapped the wings on his back but didn't pursue the plane in the sky. That plane's fate was to fall. Getting on it would only invite trouble! Better to wait on the ground, perhaps there'd be some unexpected gains... Look! Hadn't he just picked up two wild Edman Alloy Knives! Beast had only taken Deadpool when he retreated but hadn't taken these two most valuable knives. Tossing the knives into his Space Ring, Kurohane looked up at the plane in the sky.

A cloud of yellow sand rose into the sky, like a giant hand grasping the plane. The plane's engines struggled for a moment before completely dying, pulled back to the ground by this massive sandy hand! Kurohane knew at a glance that Apocalypse had acted. If he could build such a pyramid himself, what was so difficult about pulling a plane down? If it weren't for Professor X, whom he valued, being inside the plane, he might have directly pulverized everyone in it!

A bluish-purple energy orb appeared, accompanied by spatial fluctuations, and the blue-skinned Apocalypse materialized. "Charles! Hurry back and let me enter your body! This is your destiny!"

Kurohane: "That's the worst line today! It's making me blush just hearing it!"
