The teaching staff at the school had become incredibly strong.

Aside from the original members like Professor X and Wolverine, other heroes had joined over time—Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, the Hulk, and more recently, superhumans like Quake and Blindspot had all come aboard.

After the Kur incident, the former king of Wakanda had also formed an alliance with the school, providing them with various advanced technologies. Many of the school's cutting-edge devices on the floating island were actually sourced from Wakanda.

Naturally, T'Challa—the Black Panther—had also become one of the school's instructors.

Even Daredevil, having just graduated, had applied to be a teacher at the school. Wolverine and a few others had helped him take down Wilson Fisk, the underground crime lord. George knew about it but didn't get involved.

With the current strength of the Superpower Academy, opponents like Kingpin simply weren't worth his time or concern.

As the academy continued to expand, many future heroes would eventually become teachers or students there, joining the mission of protecting Earth together.

That way, George could fully focus on studying magic and improving his own abilities to prepare for any large-scale crises that might emerge in the future.

He believed this was the ideal state for his existence in the Marvel world.

One of his main reasons for building up the Superpower Academy was to ensure that while he was in seclusion researching magic, the Earth—or even the entire universe—wouldn't suddenly be destroyed in his absence.

Some crises could have devastating consequences, but solving them wasn't always difficult.

Take, for example, terrorists trying to bomb a city with a nuclear weapon—such threats could typically be handled by skilled agents.

So if the academy could handle certain problems, he didn't need to intervene. His focus only needed to be on threats beyond the academy's capability.

San Francisco, California Street

"Aliens ahead, please put down your weapons! We humans are a peaceful species!"

A S.H.I.E.L.D. agent shouted through a loudspeaker at a group of clearly non-human creatures stepping out of a spaceship—each with bizarre and varied appearances.

Surrounding him were fully armed S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and uniformed police officers.

His orders were to approach the aliens in a friendly manner and gather intelligence about their purpose for coming to Earth. If they turned hostile, his secondary objective was to stall for time until reinforcements arrived.

"Just like the intel said—Terra Blue Star is a primitive backwater. Look at those weapons... are they even serious? They look like toys!"

The alien leader—a towering figure—laughed mockingly as he kicked a nearby motorcycle several meters into the air. He pointed at the rifles and pistols held by the humans in front of him and burst into loud laughter.

Behind him, a dozen of his squad members also started laughing in unison.

It was clear—they held absolutely no regard for Earth's armed forces.

"Wipe them out and hack their networks. I want intel on the Cosmic Cube—fast. This bounty's attracted a lot of competitors. Even though we're one of the top bounty teams in the galaxy, we can't afford to get careless."

With a wave of his hand, the alien leader ordered his squad to attack the surrounding agents and police.

To him, Earth's native forces were insignificant. What he really worried about were the other bounty hunters and rival teams that had accepted the same contract.

Bounty hunters alone weren't the issue—the bigger problem was the raiders. Raider crews were far larger and more brutal than most bounty teams. While a bounty team typically had around a dozen members, a raider crew could easily number over a hundred.

Rumor had it that even Yondu—the most ruthless of the raiders—had taken this job.

Ten minutes later, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who had been holding the loudspeaker was now covered in blood, shouting into his communicator:

"Requesting backup! Requesting backup! These aliens are too powerful—we're not going to hold out much longer!"

Although they had the advantage in numbers, the bullets from their firearms couldn't even scratch the aliens' protective suits. In contrast, the aliens' laser weapons could blow up a car with a single shot.

Worse still, the aliens moved with incredible speed, and their strength and reflexes far exceeded those of ordinary humans. After just a few minutes of combat, most of the agents were already dead or injured—while the aliens hadn't even suffered a single casualty.

"Hold on! Armed helicopters are en route. Reinforcements will arrive soon!"

As the response crackled through the comms, the agent looked up at the sky. Sure enough, he could vaguely see four helicopters flying in from the distance.

Considering how widespread the alien invasion was, with attacks likely happening in multiple cities, being able to redirect even four attack choppers to this location was already a miracle.

"Air strike? These flying machines are a joke," one of the bounty hunters sneered.

The aliens had also noticed the approaching helicopters. But instead of concern, their faces showed only disdain.

Compared to the Nova Corps' patrol ships, these primitive, almost defenseless flying machines were laughable.

One of the aliens pulled out a high-tech laser weapon and scanned the incoming helicopters. The weapon instantly locked onto the targets—and four beams of light shot out, obliterating the helicopters mid-air before they could even get close.

"So this... is the difference in technology," the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent muttered in despair from behind a police cruiser.

But just then, a figure fell from the sky, claws erupting from both hands as he impaled an alien bounty hunter straight through his supposedly bulletproof armor—killing him in one blow.

"What was that?!"

The alien leader, quick to react, immediately fired his laser gun at the attacker.

The blast, powerful enough to blow up a car, tore a hole as wide as a man's wrist through the attacker's chest.

However, instead of celebrating, the alien's eyes widened in shock.

The wound rapidly healed—as if it had never been there. The attacker, completely unfazed, slashed his claws into another nearby alien.

"Focus fire! Blow him apart!"

Just as he barked the order, thick vines suddenly erupted from the ground, wrapping tightly around the aliens' limbs and binding them in place.

"Nice timing, Nathan!" the attacker said, cutting down another alien and praising the teen pressing both hands against the ground nearby.

Indeed, this was one of the Superpower Academy's field training squads, who had just arrived in San Francisco through a magical gate key after receiving the distress signal.

Their leader was Logan—Wolverine, and the young mutant assisting with the vines was one of the children rescued by the Academy years ago.

"Professor Logan! They're strong—my vines won't hold them for long!"

The boy cried out, straining as the vines began to snap under the aliens' brute force.

"Don't worry, Nathan—you're not alone!"

At that moment, a girl floated above him, hoisting a heavy mounted machine gun and taking aim at the struggling aliens below.

Her name was Jessica, and she possessed both flight and super strength.
