Marvel’s Shadowed Knight

Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Faster! Even Faster!!

At the same time as his frustration, Fisk had not completely lost his composure. He signaled Tombstone to begin searching.

One person might not be able to handle that guy, but two? No problem at all.

Meanwhile, the researchers, now trembling from the sudden turn of events, hid under their desks, unsure of what to do.

Going outside was clearly not a good option.

Staying here didn't seem like a great idea either.

Among them, a few researchers, despite crouching under their desks, remained relatively calm.

They never expected that a hero would throw out an EMP right at the start of a fight.

Did he seriously not fear that the EMP's effects might cause the collider outside to go completely haywire, tearing open a black hole beneath Brooklyn?

Did whoever did this really have that much confidence in controlling the EMP's range so precisely?

They originally wanted to report the situation to their superiors, but that was clearly no longer an option.

"Damn it."

A female researcher gritted her teeth, clearly annoyed at the hero who had barged in.

But no one paid attention to her complaint.

Tombstone had already reached the entrance, his firearm at the ready.

The moment that guy showed up, Tombstone was prepared to show him what true American gunplay was all about.

An entire magazine emptied in seconds.

"Boom!!"

A sudden explosion sent Tombstone flying before he even realized what had happened.

Fisk barely had time to react before seeing Tombstone being blasted away.

The next second, a grappling hook wrapped around his neck.

A figure rapidly closed in, and for the first time, Fisk saw the Bat appear before him.

Fisk's reaction was swift. He immediately raised his handgun toward Bruce, ready to fire, but before he could pull the trigger, a small metallic device latched onto his gun—blinking red.

Using the momentum of his grapple, Batman swung behind Fisk in an instant.

"Bang!"

"Crash!"

Two sounds echoed in quick succession.

The first was the detonation of the small explosive attached to Fisk's gun.

The second was Fisk himself being hurled by Batman's throw, crashing through a desk.

Batman remained unfazed by his own actions, instead focusing even more intently on the massive figure slowly rising before him.

He had expected Fisk to be tough. In fact, he had approached this fight as if he were taking on Bane—just without using miniature explosives.

But now, it seemed that Fisk's durability was on par with an unenhanced Bane.

His resilience was astounding.

Fisk got back on his feet, glancing at his now-destroyed handgun before crushing what was left of it in his grip.

He then looked up at Batman. "I don't understand why you people always interfere with my family!"

"You're not saving your family," Bruce replied, his voice steady as ever. "You're just trying to make up for your own regrets."

His body had already tensed in preparation for Fisk's counterattack.

Every muscle was primed, ready to react instantly.

Under the collider's eerie glow, Fisk looked more like a towering demon than a man.

"I've already killed one Spider," Fisk growled. "I don't mind killing a Bat next."

The moment he spoke, his massive body lunged forward.

Somehow, despite his enormous size, Fisk managed to explode into motion with terrifying speed.

His massive fists, looking lethal enough on their own, came crashing toward Batman's head.

But Batman's reflexes were beyond his expectations.

With a simple duck and a swift movement, Bruce slipped through the gap under Fisk's arm.

Planting his feet firmly, he drove a powerful punch straight into Fisk's side.

Even with Fisk's massive bulk, the impact forced him to stagger two steps to the side.

Batman wouldn't waste an opening.

Closing the distance instantly, he struck again—without giving Fisk a chance to react, he launched a powerful kick straight at him.

A sweeping kick struck Fisk directly behind the knee.

Half a ton of force crashed into the joint, and even with his thick skin and muscle, Fisk could feel something wrong with his knee.

Seizing the moment, Batman immediately followed up with a spinning back kick.

But this time, it had no effect.

Fisk had already raised his arms to guard his head, anticipating Batman's next attack.

Not only that—he caught Batman's leg mid-kick and hurled him away.

"Bang!"

Batman crashed against the outer window frame of the lab, letting out a muffled grunt.

"Ugh—"

Meanwhile, Tombstone, who had been knocked unconscious by the explosion, slowly regained consciousness.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Batman slammed against the frame.

Without hesitation, he got up and charged, throwing a punch straight at Batman's abdomen.

But Batman countered in an instant, grabbing Tombstone's arm and locking it in an armbar, using the momentum to pull himself off the frame.

As they tumbled, Batman slammed Tombstone onto the ground.

Tombstone tried to strike again, but Batman was faster.

He suddenly dropped backward, forcing Tombstone's arm down and snapping his right hand with brutal efficiency.

"AAAHH!!"

But Batman wasn't finished.

After breaking Tombstone's arm, he swiftly got up and drove a punch into his face.

The agonized cries stopped instantly.

Tombstone went limp.

Bruce was breathing heavily now.

Not because he was exhausted—but because the pain from being thrown into the frame earlier was starting to interfere with his movements.

"Watch out!"

Thomas' voice rang in his mind.

Bruce reacted quickly—but not quickly enough.

Tombstone, even in his unconscious state, had clamped onto Batman's ankle with a death grip.

His strength had weakened, but in a fight like this, even the smallest disadvantage could turn into a major problem.

That grip held Batman in place.

And Fisk charged forward like a human tank.

A tank with a limp—but still just as deadly.

Fisk tackled Batman with full force.

And Batman was still partially bound by an unconscious Tombstone.

As they crashed out of the lab, the terrified researchers scattered in all directions.

They bolted through the hole Batman had blasted in the wall earlier, fleeing for their lives.

"Let's go to hell together!" Fisk roared, completely unhinged.

His massive face, twisted with rage, had lost all composure.

His expression was manic, his voice bordering on madness.

The chaos in the lab had already drawn the attention of every Spider-Man present.

"Batman!!"

Peter Parker, who had been cursing Batman just moments ago, instantly kicked off a wall to accelerate his descent.

He had already fired his web.

Gwen Stacy broke away from the Prowler without hesitation, sprinting toward Batman.

Her web shot out, aimed directly at him.

"Faster! Even faster!!"

As the web closed in on Batman, Gwen couldn't stop herself from screaming inside.
