Marvel’s Spider-Man: Across the Multiverse

Chapter 134: Chapter 133: A Welcome Gift for Tobey-Spider

"A spider? Another spider?"

Carnage finally got a clear look at Peter's suit and instantly recognized his identity, his shock evident.

Then, he burst into manic laughter. "I never expected this—this world actually has two Spider-Men! Keh keh keh, interesting… too interesting! Keh keh keh!"

"You're a Spider-Man too?" Tobey-Spider looked at Peter in surprise. "I thought I was the only one."

Peter glanced at him and said flatly, "Clearly, you're not."

As he spoke, the battle suit covering his pants rapidly dissipated, revealing the clothes underneath.

Reaching into his pocket, Peter pulled out a wristband and tossed it over.

Tobey-Spider caught it with one hand, giving Peter a puzzled look.

Peter patted his own left wrist with his right hand, mimicking the motion of wearing a watch. "Put it on and press the button on the side."

"Oh~"

Tobey-Spider wasn't entirely sure what was happening, but his Spider-Sense didn't detect any malice from Peter.

So, without being overly cautious, he strapped it on and, as instructed, found the button on the side of the wristband and pressed it.

Whoosh—

Countless particles flowed out from the device, quickly spreading across his entire body.

Within seconds, Tobey-Spider was fully suited up.

The suit bore a striking resemblance to Peter's, both unmistakably advanced in design.

However, Peter's suit was crafted from nano-vibranium. Though it had been specially treated with colored metal to give it a matte finish, upon closer inspection, it still retained a metallic sheen.

In contrast, the suit now covering Tobey-Spider was made of nano-fiber.

It was a gift from Tony Stark back in the MCU-616 universe.

At the time, Peter had teamed up with Iron Man and Captain America to ambush Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf at the New Avengers Headquarters. As the battle raged on, he eventually found himself in a one-on-one fight against Ebony Maw.

In a desperate, high-risk maneuver, he unleashed his finishing move—Quantum Venom Sting, trading injury for injury. The gamble paid off—he successfully took down Ebony Maw.

That battle earned him the respect and friendship of Iron Man, Captain America, and the other Avengers.

Afterward, while he was recovering in the Regeneration Cradle, Iron Man noticed his suit was heavily damaged and took the liberty of crafting this nano suit for him.

However, Peter had only ever tried it on once—just a quick test fit when it was freshly made.

When he returned to Wakanda, he switched back to his regular outfit.

And then, that very night, King T'Challa, the Black Panther, gifted him something even greater—a nano-vibranium Spider-Man suit worth over 8 billion dollars.

With such an upgrade, there was no way he was going back to his standard nano suit—no matter how advanced it was.

After all, while Iron Man had designed it with impressive tech, even incorporating features from Holland-Spider's suit, nothing could compare to nano-vibranium!

And so, despite its capabilities, the nano suit had remained tucked away inside its wristband, gathering dust.

Initially, Peter had planned to give it to Garfield-Spider in the last world.

But due to unexpected circumstances, he had to leave that world prematurely.

He didn't even get the chance to recruit Electro as originally planned.

But it didn't really matter—whoever got it, got it. And now that he had met Tobey-Spider, he might as well give it to him.

"Whoa! This suit… this armor… this feeling…"

Tobey-Spider couldn't stop touching the suit, marveling at its texture.

Peter, watching from the side, shuddered in discomfort.

"Enough Chit-Chat!"

"I say, isn't it about time we wrap up the reminiscing? Or do you really think I don't exist?" Carnage snarled viciously.

While Peter and Tobey-Spider had been interacting, Carnage had been observing Peter closely, which was why he hadn't interrupted them.

But now, he felt he had seen enough.

Peter turned his head toward Carnage, nodded, and said seriously, "Yeah, I think we've about wrapped up our catch-up. And we're just about ready too—Gwen!"

His sudden shout startled everyone present.

Carnage and Tobey-Spider instinctively turned toward Gwen Stacy.

Even Gwen, who was standing directly behind Peter, looked confused and caught off guard.

However, none of them realized—this "Gwen" was not that "Gwen"!

At that moment, following Peter's shout, something massive and dark suddenly flew out from the nearby bell tower.

"Peter!" A voice called out from that direction—it was Gwen.

Peter shot out a web, latching onto the incoming object, and yanked hard.

The object was immediately exposed under everyone's gaze—

It was a massive church bell!

And somehow, Gwen had ripped it from its place!

As the bell flew through the air, Peter flicked his web upward, hurling it even higher.

At the same time, he leaped into the air, landing atop the bell, pressing one hand firmly against its peak.

Carnage was stunned for a brief moment—then his expression twisted into pure horror.

"Hey, why don't you try this on for size?"

Peter—Master of Smug Grins—flashed a devilish smile. The next second, without hesitation, he shoved the bell downward with full force.

"NO!" Carnage roared, his body lunging away in an attempt to escape.

However, Peter had anticipated this—there was no way he'd let him get away so easily.

The moment Carnage jumped, the massive bell came crashing down, trapping him inside!

GONG!

A deafening chime echoed, reverberating through the air.

Carnage let out an agonized scream as he was sealed inside.

The resonance within the bell only amplified his pain, making him wail in sheer torment.

"AAARGHHH!!! You bastard! If you have the guts, let me out!!!" Carnage shrieked in agony, his voice a mixture of rage and desperation.

Peter, now comfortably seated at the very top of the bell, casually whistled. This spot had originally been part of a metal chain link, but Gwen had broken the lock, leaving just enough space for him to sit.

Smirking, he replied, "Sorry, I don't have the guts. So I can't let you out. My bad."

As he spoke, he fired several webs, securing the bell firmly to the ground—further reinforcing Carnage's new prison.

Then, without wasting a moment, he balled his fist and began repeatedly punching the bell's surface, keeping the sonic assault going.

The continuous chimes sent devastating soundwaves inside, forcing Carnage to let out one tortured scream after another.

Despite his seemingly casual demeanor, Peter wasn't letting his guard down for even a second.

Anyone who knew Spider-Man lore knew that Carnage was no joke.

The Carnage Symbiote was an offspring of Venom, but far more deranged. Not long after its birth, it bonded with the notorious serial killer Cletus Kasady.

Whether it was the symbiote's nature or Kasady's twisted psyche rubbing off on it, the result was the same—a complete maniac.

Of course, different versions of Carnage had different levels of power.

In some versions, he was far stronger than both Venom and Spider-Man combined, to the point where Spider-Man had no choice but to seek help from the Fantastic Four or even Venom himself.

But in others, he wasn't strong enough to beat Venom—and eventually got devoured by him.
