As one of the nine realms of the World Tree System, it was once the residence of the Vanir gods. Thousands of years ago, Odin and Hela wanted to unify the nine realms with their ambition and invasion.

The Vanir joined forces with the fire giant Surtur to fight against the Asgard army, but ultimately ended in failure.

The Vanir were severely damaged and finally had to compromise and sign a peace treaty. From then on, the Vanir were integrated into Asgard.
