After Ezaki left the stage, Cementoss and several staff members arrived to inspect the damage. 

Everyone frowned as they looked at the destroyed arena. 

"At this rate, even an hour might not be enough to fix this..." 

One of the staff members sighed. 

"These two brats weren't fighting... they were straight-up demolishing the arena!" 

Another staff member couldn't help but curse. 

"Still, the school made the right call banning the giant. Otherwise, we'd have to spend over an hour fixing the arena after every match, and the competition would probably go on until nighttime."

"I'm telling you, this year's first-years are really something. Honestly, I got scared a few times during the match." 

Cementoss said in a deep voice. 

Meanwhile, in a certain hallway, Endeavor leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, as if waiting for someone. Before long, Todoroki Shoto walked over. 

"What a pathetic display, Shoto." 

Endeavor said coldly. 

Hearing this, Todoroki Shoto frowned but chose to ignore him, even though he had already used the power on his left side. 

"You're following the exact same path I did when I chased after All Might." 

Before Endeavor could finish, Todoroki Shoto cut him off. 

"If this keeps up, I guess I'll be inheriting your title as the eternal runner-up soon." 

Endeavor's face darkened at his words, but after a moment, he swallowed his frustration, knowing that his son was simply stating the truth. 

At this moment, Endeavor couldn't shake the feeling that his family was cursed. It was supposed to be his era, yet All Might appeared. Then, when he tried to raise a son to surpass All Might and usher in a new era, another Ezaki Kitazawa showed up. 

After a few moments of silence, Endeavor finally spoke again. 

"You want to get stronger, don't you?" 

Todoroki Shoto, who was about to leave, stopped in his tracks. 

"If you want to get stronger, training at the same pace as them won't close the gap. You need to work harder than them, push your Quirk beyond its limits. If you want, I can set aside time every day to train you." 

Endeavor said calmly. 

This was the only thing Todoroki Shoto was willing to listen to. But of course, he wouldn't say the words "I want to." 

Endeavor understood his son's personality, so he gave him a way out. 

"If you do, just come find me after school every day." 

With that, Todoroki Shoto resumed walking. It was clear that he had agreed. 

Time passed quickly, and the arena had already been repaired. Without wasting any time, the next round of matches began.

"Advance." 

Ezaki Kitazawa muttered before pressing the virtual button. 

The next second, his whole body felt like it was on fire. The pain was unbearable, and this time, it lasted much longer than before.

As the system message appeared, the screen refreshed before his eyes. 

The pain finally faded, but his clothes were soaked in sweat.

Ezaki Kitazawa muttered as he looked down at his palm and activated his new Quirk. 

Instantly, his hand turned deep red, surrounded by dark crimson flames. 

"I won't have a chance to test this properly yet. I'll wait until the sports festival is over. This Quirk looks pretty strong." 

Ezaki Kitazawa said in a low voice.
