MHA : Rabbit & Spider

The bus shook while standing still as the teens inside jumped about and cheered, ecstatic that the chance to enter UA was right in front of them and a short bus ride away.

Peter sat alone in his seat, laying his head on the back support as he rolled his wrist. He felt an air of comfort when that Present Mic dude finally allowed them to change out of their uniforms and into work out clothes for the practical.

While most word tracksuits or just tank tops and joggers, Peter himself went with an outfit he was a bit more familiar with. Cause for the past 6 months, Peter had been designing an updated version of his vigilante costume that could come off as regular clothes.

Well, more like 2 days designing it and the rest saving up the money and waiting for it to be shipped but whatever.

A red and blue short-sleeved hoodie with black accent marks and a large white spider symbol printed on the chest and back. black undershirt that reached to just past his elbows along with red fingerless gloves. grey joggers and red sneakers. It was a casual, breathable look that Peter would make sure to wear when he works out.

If it survived the practical, that is. He'd seen videos of kids coming out of the exam with burnt clothes and broken limbs. And while Peter could definitely handle that, he did not spend months on this outfit just to have it destroyed

And who could forget his good ol' web-shooters? He'd even designed a belt he was wearing under his clothes to hold more cartridges! It should last him through the exam, at least he hoped it could.

When was this bus gonna get moving? He's been sitting here for like, 15 minutes! They didn't even let him take his phone to the practical to pass the time! What was he gonna do? Look up how to destroy a bunch of robots?

Oh, yeah! He was fighting robots, at least he was pretty sure that's what that Mic dude said. Peter had kind of tuned everything out after the written exam.

But what he did actually hear basically amounted to 'Robots! different points! Destroy them! Why is no one responding to me trying to hype you guys up?!' or something like that, the most memorable thing was some blue-haired dude shouting questions at him.

Man, did he wish Rumi was here to pass the time with, he'd even take Nejire at this point. But they got assigned to different battle centers so he'd do this solo, at least he wasn't with Bakugo.

"Hey! You excited about the exam? Oh, I can't wait!" A weight sat on the seat next to Peter's, and a friendly voice came with it.

'I swear if this is another Nejire…' He thought while turning his head to meet the voice.

Sitting next to him, was a taller boy with a blinding smile, blonde hair, and weird-looking eyes. He was wearing a black tank top and blue joggers. Also, this dude was ripped .

Peter was about to respond before looking the boy up and down once again. He looked normal enough and had a friendly vibe going on, even though he had a pretty punchable face but he didn't need to know that.

With a shrug, Peter extended a hand toward him. "A bit nervous but I'll manage. I'm Peter Parker, by the way, It's nice to meet you." He said with a friendly smile, the guy sitting next to him took his hand and shook it enthusiastically with a beaming smile.

'It's gonna be another Nejire, isn't it?'

"It's great to meet you! I'm Mirio Togata! And I think you'll do fine, Parker! Can I ask what's your quirk?" He let go of his hand and propped his elbows on his knees, those blue eyes and that smile were giving Peter serious All Might vibes.

'Wait… Nah, All Might doesn't have any secret love children… I think.' Peter shook his head and rolled his shoulder, trying to get back to what was going on in front of him.

"Oh, it's called 'Spider'! I can do basically do whatever a spider can but better. Although it doesn't let me do stuff like shoot webs I can stick to walls and stuff." Alright, he should try to be friendly with this Togata dude, he seemed nice enough and not overly weird like Nejire was at first.

So far, he just seemed like an upbeat guy.

"Wow, that's so cool! I bet you'll make a great hero! My quirk is a bit more tricky, sadly. It's called 'Permeation' and lets me pass through matter, cool, right?" Togata laughed as if it was a completely normal thing.

Peter had to do a recap of that last sentence. If this guy was being serious then that meant he could just phase through anything . That was just unfair! Imagine having to fight a guy who was just, not able to be touched? What do you do with that? Nothing!

"Seriously? That's just unfair to anyone who fights you! I me- Wait, there's a downside, isn't there? What, do you explode every 30 minutes cause of it or something?"

Going off of Togata's amused laugh, Peter guessed he was right on the money.

"Well, my quirk makes me go through everything if I activate all over my body! Which includes air, light, the ground, and my clothes! So it's like falling in an endless void without my senses, it sure was spooky when I was a kid!" He laughed again, waving his arms around to emphasize the falling part.

Alright, Pete was kinda new to the 'Having a quirk' club, but if his quirk did… that, he wouldn't be so optimistic about it. Seeing Togata just smile while saying all of that was kind of inspiring and admirable.

Wait, did this guy say clothes?

Before Peter could ask if being completely naked was a common occurrence when using his quirk, the two felt another weight plop itself down beside the blonde just as the bus started moving. What kind of bus had 3 seats per row?

Also.

Was this girl's hair on fire? Wait, nevermind, her hair literally was made of fire. And man was that cool, Peter wished he had fire hair.

The girl seating next to them had pale skin, pointy teeth she showed in a grin, dark-colored eyes, and seemed to be about 5'2. Her hair was composed of green fire that was held back by a single orange hairband, with 2 bangs on each side and a wider one at the front. She wore a simple grey camo t-shirt along with black track pants with a green streak going up the side of one leg.

Suffice to say, she stood out.

Man, Nejire was right. He did look plain compared to everyone else.

"Hey! You guys cool with me sitting here, right?" She cracked her knuckles, a friendly smile still on her face. Before Peter could respond Togata decided to introduce the both of them himself.

"Hi! I'm Mirio Togata and this," He pointed a thumb towards Peter, he noticed the blonde boy was giving a shining smile. "Is Peter Parker! It's nice to meet you!" He finished, his introduction only being heard by the three of them due to the bus' volume.

Speaking of the bus, it had been moving for about a minute now. The other buses with the rest of the students had gone their own ways. Peter could see a cityscape approaching in the distance.

"Uh, yeah, what he said. It's nice to meet you!" Peter gave a friendly but less bright smile, the girl only grinned back at the both of them.

"Ooh, you guys are enthusiastic! I like that! I'm Moe Kamiji! You two are just as excited as me, right? I just can't wait to get to it!" Peter's eyes widened slightly when Kamiji's hair flared up a small bit, turning a slightly brighter shade of green.

Well, she seemed normal enough. So far, at least.

"Hey, Kamiji, can I ask what's your quirk? I can pass through matter and Parker can do everything a spider can, well not everything but everything that isn't gross!" Togata laughed. Peter would protest about how he described his quirk but that was basically it now that he thought about it.

But 'Doing whatever a spider can' Rolled off the tongue better. Maybe be could make it a t-shirt? Nah, he wasn't the merch kinda guy, even if the money might be cool to have.

"Oh! Here, lemme show you real quick." The fire-haired girl reached up to her hair and simply plucked out a bit of fire from it, holding it and bouncing it in her hand as if it were nothing.

After doing this for a couple seconds, she simply threw the small orb of fire back into her hair where it reconnected to the flames seamlessly.

"My hair is obviously made of fire, I can pull the fire out and throw it around, it regrows the second I grab it even though it takes some stamina to do. Also, I'm fireproof! Convenient, right?" She gave a grin while crossing her legs and leaning forward.

Why does everyone get cool and flashy quirks while Peter just gets to be sticky? That's so not fair! Couldn't a genetically modified tornado or volcano have bitten him? That would have been sick.

But nooo, it just had to be a spider. So lame.

"Man, that's awesome! I almost never see pyrokinetic quirks! You could easily land a spot on endeavor's agency!" Togata commented, smiling at seeing Kamiji's face light up, her hair glowing a tad bit brighter. Peter had to agree on the endeavor agency part, the guy basically hired anyone with a decent pyrokinetic and made them follow him around all the time.

Also. they were called 'The burning sidekickers'. Peter would sell his web formula to a business conglomerate being joining an agency that called him that.

He had self-respect, alright?
