MHA: The One Who Laughs

Sorry for the late chapter, I was doing something.

Johnny POV

After talking to Midoriya, I quickly made my way to the principal's office. The principal was an old guy in his late 50s. He was balding and overweight.

When I entered his room, he quickly sat straight and gave me a smile. "Do you need anything, Johnny?"

He invited me to sit down, and I began to talk. "I want to apply for early graduation. My parents will speak to you a week from now. So I won't be able to go to that tech tournament."

His bald head glinted as he spoke solemnly. "Are you sure? We have plenty more to—"

Before he could finish, I quickly stood up and cut him off. "Sorry, Principal. I really don't have anything else to learn. And I wanna move up in life."

It was a lie, and I knew he knew it. But it was the best I could say at the moment. He merely sighed and nodded while watching me leave his office.

After I left, I saw Hyoshida alone in the hallway. He was full of bruises and burnt skin. His arm was broken, and he had many bandages on his body.

Noticing me, he smirked. "Hey! Quirkless bastard!"

He walked faster towards me and mocked me with every word that came out of his mouth. When he got tired of my silence, he raised his one working arm and was about to smack me. But he quickly stopped when he heard a loud laugh.

"Hahahaha! Look at this bastard! He looks like he's gonna die, and he still came to school."

Turning around to see who it was, I saw Bakugo with his two friends. He was smiling while sparks came out of his palm. "Wanna go at it again? Crystal boy?"

I glanced at Hyoshida and saw how scared he was. He touched his arm and began to sweat. He scoffed and turned around, quickly leaving.

When Hyoshida left, Bakugo noticed me and scoffed. "You're pathetic. I know you're quirkless, but I know another loser who's quirkless too, and he's more of a man than you will ever be."

He bumped into me, which caused me to fall down.

After school was over, I made my way home and asked my parents for a camera. "Mom, can you buy me a camera for my room?"

"A camera?" she asked.

"Yeah, Maxy has been entering my room, so I want a camera that allows me to speak so that I can stop Maxy from entering my room."

Before my mom could answer, my dad entered the kitchen and said, "Yeah, we should get cameras. After all, you'll be alone in the house. You'll be safer with cameras all around the house."

My mom smiled and said, "Why don't we go shopping? Me and your dad have a day off today and tomorrow as we're getting ready to leave for next week, so we're pretty rested."

I nodded and agreed. "Sure."

It took five hours before we got home. My mother had a shopping spree as she hadn't had fun with her family for some time now. We went out for my birthday, but they were tired that day, so they didn't enjoy it much.

"That was fun!" Mom yelled.

My mom quickly went inside the house and left me and my father inside the car. My dad just looked at my mom with a warm smile, then looked at me. "Wanna set up the cameras, kiddo?"

I nodded, and we quickly set up the cameras. After we finished, it was already nighttime, and I was extremely tired.

When I got into my room, I slumped down on my bed and fell asleep.

—Next day—

"Argh…"

I groaned while holding my head. I felt tired, more tired than when I slept last night.

"My head hurts… Again."

I got up from my bed and washed up. Today was Saturday, so I wasn't in a hurry. When I was going down the stairs, I saw a camera.

My eyes widened as I remembered. "Oh right. The cameras."

I quickly went back up the stairs while my mom called me. "Sweetie! Are you gonna eat?!"

I yelled back. "Yeah, Mom! I'll be there in a minute!"

Making my way to my room, I closed the door and opened my laptop, where I could control the cameras.

When I opened my laptop, I ignored everything and went to the "recording" tab.

I played everything back and saw myself walking to my bed and lying down to sleep. I increased the video speed by 10x and watched every single second of the video.

When my arms began to move after one hour of sleep, I paused the video and let it run at normal speed.

My right arm twitched again, followed by my left arm. I then used my arm and stood up, but I couldn't see my face because the room was dark and the video was blurry.

My body slowly walked towards the camera.

"So I really do sleepwalk…" I murmured.

I was about to turn the video off, but then my image made its way to the camera.

I saw my face with shut eyes. Then my eyes began to open, and a grin was forming on my face.

The eyes fully opened, and my mouth smiled widely.

"Ahh!" I yelled and fell down from my chair. "That… That face! That smile!"

Bzzz

The screen buzzed, and it turned into black and white.
