Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Aizawa

**Chapter 21: Aizawa**

The infirmary was silent, save for the soft hum of the air conditioning and the occasional rustle of the white curtain separating Law and Yaoyorozu. The two lay on their respective beds, their bodies wrapped in bandages that covered the burns, bruises, and scrapes from their earlier battle. The sterile light of the room cast a pale glow over them, highlighting the exhaustion etched into their features.

Recovery Girl had just finished tending to their wounds, her stern but caring demeanor leaving a lasting impression. "You two can leave in about ten minutes," she had said, adjusting her glasses as she glanced between them. "But no heroics for the rest of the day, understood? You need to rest."

Law nodded silently, his golden eyes fixed on the ceiling. His right arm, heavily bandaged, rested across his chest, while his left hand absently traced the edge of the bed. Yaoyorozu, on the other hand, sat upright, her dark hair cascading over her shoulders as she fiddled with the edge of her blanket. She glanced at Law through the thin curtain, her thoughts swirling with questions she couldn't quite bring herself to ask.

The quiet was broken by the sound of footsteps approaching the infirmary door. They were slow, deliberate, and carried a weight that made the air in the room feel heavier. The door creaked open, and Aizawa Shota stepped inside.

Aizawa's appearance was as disheveled as ever, his black hair hanging loosely around his face, and his capture scarf draped lazily over his shoulders. His eyes, dark and piercing, scanned the room before settling on Law. His expression was unreadable, but there was a sharpness in his gaze that made even the usually composed Law shift uncomfortably.

Yaoyorozu's eyes widened in surprise. "Aizawa-sensei?" she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. She hadn't expected their homeroom teacher to visit the infirmary, especially not after a training exercise.

Law, however, didn't seem surprised. His golden eyes met Aizawa's for a brief moment before he averted his gaze, turning his head to stare out the window. The tension in the room was palpable, and Yaoyorozu couldn't help but feel like she was intruding on something private.

Aizawa stepped further into the room, his footsteps echoing softly against the tiled floor. He stopped a few feet away from Law's bed, his hands tucked into his pockets. For a moment, he said nothing, his eyes narrowing as he studied the boy.

"So," Aizawa began, his voice low and gravelly, "you refuse to look at me now? You know exactly how reckless and foolish you were back there."

Recovery Girl, who had been tidying up her supplies, turned sharply at the sound of Aizawa's voice. "Aizawa-boy?" she said, her tone a mix of surprise and mild reproach. "What are you doing here? These two need rest, not a lecture."

Aizawa didn't respond immediately, his gaze still fixed on Law. "I'll make it quick," he said finally, though his tone suggested he had no intention of leaving anytime soon.

Yaoyorozu's mind raced. *Aizawa-boy?* she thought, her curiosity piqued. She glanced at Law, who seemed unfazed by the nickname.

Law, sensing her confusion, spoke without looking at her. "Recovery Girl has been here longer than Aizawa-sensei has been teaching. And he was a student here too, That's why she calls him that."

Aizawa's eyes flicked toward Law, a hint of irritation flashing across his face. "You've got some nerve, ignoring my questions and answering hers instead," he said, his voice sharp. "Tell me, Law, what exactly was that fight about? Were you mocking them? Playing around? Or were you just being careless?"

Law remained silent, his gaze still fixed on the window. His expression was calm, but the tension in his jaw betrayed his discomfort.

Yaoyorozu's heart raced. *Why is Aizawa-sensei so upset with Law? He won the match, didn't he? If anything, I was the one who held him back...* Her dark eyes darted between Aizawa and Law, her mind filled with questions she couldn't voice.

Recovery Girl stepped forward, her hands on her hips. "I won't allow you to scold my patients here," she said firmly. "They need rest, and you're not helping. Out. Now."

Aizawa sighed, running a hand through his messy hair. He glanced at Law one last time, his expression unreadable. "We'll talk later," he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

As Aizawa turned to leave, Yaoyorozu couldn't help but notice the way Law's shoulders relaxed slightly, as if a weight had been lifted. She wanted to ask him what was going on, but the words caught in her throat.

Recovery Girl shook her head as she watched Aizawa leave. "All the teachers here are the same," she muttered. "Always pushing the students to their limits. You two fought well, so don't worry too much. Just try not to get hurt like this again, especially you, Law. Your right arm froze, your body was burned, and then you got electrocuted. Take it easy on yourself."

With that, Recovery Girl gathered her things and headed for the door. "I'll be back later to check on you," she said before stepping out, leaving Law and Yaoyorozu alone once more.

The room was quiet again, save for the soft rustling of the curtain and the gentle breeze from the open window. The cool air brushed against Law's black hair, causing it to sway slightly, and the white curtain separating the two beds fluttered like a ghostly barrier.

Yaoyorozu didn't know what to say. She felt guilty, convinced that her weakness had been the reason Law had struggled during the match. She wanted to apologize, to thank him, to ask him what Aizawa had meant—but the words wouldn't come.

After a few minutes of silence, Law sat up, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "We should go," he said, his voice calm but firm.

Yaoyorozu nodded, following his lead. Together, they left the infirmary and made their way to the observation room, where the rest of their classmates were gathered.

As they entered, the room erupted into chatter. Kirishima and Mina greeted them with wide smiles, their enthusiasm infectious.

"Hey, you guys made it!" Kirishima said, his sharp teeth gleaming as he grinned. "That was some match earlier. You two were awesome!"

Mina nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, you totally crushed it! Though, I guess we didn't do so great in ours..."

Law ignored the small talk, his golden eyes scanning the room. "Thank you guys really... By the way, what's the current match?" he asked, his tone neutral.

Mineta, who was perched on a chair nearby, answered eagerly. "It's the last one—the toughest one! Midoriya and Uraraka versus Bakugo and Iida!"

The room's attention turned to the screen, where the match was already underway. Law watched intently as Midoriya and Bakugo clashed, their quirks colliding with explosive force. The sheer power of Midoriya's One For All was on full display, and for the first time, Law felt a flicker of doubt.

*I Know One For All is a strong quirk,* he thought, his gaze dropping to his bandaged hand. *But seeing it like this... Will I really be able to stop Shigaraki and All For One with my current strength?*

The match ended with Midoriya's victory, though not without cost. The building they had fought in was left in ruins, a testament to the destructive power of his quirk. The room buzzed with excitement and awe, but Law remained silent, his thoughts far away.
