Chapter 109: 109. Bitter Sweet Memories
Power corrupts.
Thus Itsuki would rather not take the easy way out every time, this time with the Land of Snow was an exception and he won't be cultivating subordinates like that.
If he started brainwashing people to make loyal minions then he wouldn't need to bother trying to gain the loyalty of his subordinates and could just treat them however he wants and that won't affect their loyalty.
But it would just make his ego grow more and become bloated just like the sun ( A Chinese MC ) , he would start to think that the whole world revolved around him and he was a god , a god whose words were akin to law.
But Itsuki wasn't Chinese he was Japanese thus he was much more humble , he believed he was good looking but he didn't think he was a Chad-Chinaman who could make women's legs go weak from just a single gaze.
He didn't believe he was superior just because he knew the 'plot' , he didn't see the world as his own , his reason for wanting to make Senju great again were for his family and for his wish.....
{ A chinese MC believed he was superior than everyone else because he had the authentic Yanhuan bloodline in him ( Yanhuan = cough I won't say it but you know it, dragon country ) , he said his life is more precious than these people because of his Yanhuan bloodline and he was superior , he should spread his bloodline with the woman and they should be greatful or something to be able to get with a Yanhuan stud like him, forgot the name of the Naruto ff}
.....
He was an orphan in his previous life and other than Saya he had nobody else. She was his best friend/sister /crush , it was only natural for him to feel that way since they grew up together and both of them stayed in the orphanage until high school.
When both of them were 15, a lady came to the orphanage claiming to be Saya's big sister, and after that Saya was able to see her parents.
Itsuki wasn't envious but he was happy for her as at least she had family now. But he still felt a bit empty as he feared she wouldn't need him anymore and their bond would start to weaken as the years pass by and would slowly crumble away.
He adored Saya but he never really did came to terms with his feelings as he didn't want to ruin their existing relationship, he believed she only saw him as a goofy brother who she had to take care of and nothing more thus he buried his feelings deep inside.
He was happy as long as she still needed his company , he liked it when she depended on him , maybe he was a coward but he was just that scared of losing her , because she was the closest thing to family he had and he felt happy by just being near her.....he just felt complete.
So maybe he didn't beat up that rich snob just cuz he insulted him? Who knows.....
...
It was kind of a bummer that Saya's parents weren't that fond of him and he didn't like them that much either , they gave off the rich people vibe which he was uncomfortable with due to growing up in a place that lacked many things and you had to share clothes and other necessity with other children your age.
Thus he just couldn't relate to them , and Saya's parents also saw him as a bad influence on their daughter.
He was actually mentally prepared to see her distance herself from him but when she still stuck by him he was delighted.
But her sister was cool , as he got along with her well and coincidentally Kana was her name. Kana wasn't like her parents at all she was very humble and kind and didn't put on any airs.
So his relationship with her was like an elder sister and she also was really grateful to him for taking care of Saya.
Not that he minded taking care of her, in fact he loved it when she depended on him and confided in him.
Saya's relationship with her parents soured due to them constantly trying tell her what to do and telling her how to behave according to her status.
He felt that only her sister genuinely loved her ,as for her parents it was more of their reputation and honour.
It kind of made him sick , both of them growing up as orphans had dreamed of having a loving family , so he felt bad her for after finding out that after reuniting with her parents they turned out to be the cold blooded type who focused on materialistic things than affection.
To them their reputation was much more important than their daughter's happiness but luckily her elder sister loved her dearly and the woman was independent to a degree so she was the one who was taking care of her.
The woman even rented an apartment for him that was just beside Saya's as both of them could be near each other and it was very convenient, he tried refusing but Kana was very adamant about it. He couldn't even afford it as it was pretty luxurious although not too much , it wasn't something a jobless youth like him could afford but Saya convinced him to accept it with her puppy eyes and he was truly weak to that move of hers.
She told him he should accept it if he considered her family and that her sister should be his sister too and she would stop talking to him if he didn't agree to it.
With her throwing such a tantrum how could he not agree. Thus he accepted and her excited smile and hug at that time was worth it all.
It was all supposed to get better from then on at least that was what he thought.....
....
Saya and Kana are from an H game ..... *Cough* complete coincidence .....
