Minecraft : Only I Know the Crafting List

Chapter 78: Chapter 78

When Ken saw Xu Yuan's expression, he immediately knew that Xu Yuan was serious.

At that moment, Ken was at a loss for words. Xu Yuan's strength was far beyond his understanding. Even knowing that Xu Yuan could clear a nightmare-level dungeon alone, Ken still felt a lingering unease.

He hesitated for a moment before suggesting, "How about you try the easy mode and hard mode first? It might be safer to get a feel for it."

Xu Yuan shook his head calmly. "No need. It's a waste of time. I'll tell you how to do it after I clear the level. Have you been to those two modes before?"

Ken hesitated but didn't press further.

He nodded and asked, "So, when are you planning to fight?"

Xu Yuan thought for a moment and replied, "In about half an hour. I still need to prepare a few things."

Ken's mind was already numb to such statements. It was normal for others to take a day or two to prepare for a Dungeon—yet Xu Yuan, whether for an advanced or nightmare-level dungeon, only needed half an hour.

He nodded and said, "Alright, I won't bother you then. I'll be waiting for your good news."

With that, Ken left, leaving Xu Yuan alone to prepare.

Outside the room, guild members gathered, all eager to enter the dungeon, explore, and claim land. They knew that once the dungeon was unlocked, everyone would want to go in. But, as members of the guild, they had to follow the guild's arrangements.

They waited patiently, knowing Xu Yuan had already scouted the inside of the advanced dungeon.

"Boss Steve is too amazing! One person entered the dungeon, and I saw on the world channel—this dungeon isn't even meant for humans to play,"

"Who's our boss? Have you forgotten how Wither died last time?"

"But that Wither was a boss, and there's more than one monster in this dungeon…"

"Boss always has a way. Let's just wait for Steve to come back, and we'll see how he clears it."

"We must be the first to clear! The reward for the first pass will be incredible!"

Their discussion was lively, filled with anticipation. Suddenly, Ken walked out with a numb expression.

The guild members immediately surrounded him.

"Boss Ken, what's wrong?!"

"Your expression… Are you worried that Boss Steve also got wiped out inside?"

"This dungeon is so tough… Boss Steve must be in danger going in alone… Boss Ken, is that okay?!"

"Oh, Boss Ken, you're talking nonsense!"

Seeing Ken's face, everyone immediately thought that Xu Yuan had encountered trouble inside the dungeon.

Ken couldn't help but smile bitterly when he heard their chatter.

"Can't you hope for something good?" he said.

The guild members were slightly relieved, but their curiosity persisted.

"Boss Ken," someone pressed, "you looked so worried just now—does that mean the dungeon is really dangerous?"

Ken sighed and smiled again. "Steve boss has abandoned us," he joked.

The guild members were stunned.

"Huh?! What?!"

"Boss Ken, what do you mean?!"

"Are you saying Steve is in trouble inside?!"

Ken's teasing made everyone panic.

"Don't worry," he continued with a grin, "Steve is going to clear the nightmare-level dungeon of the corpse tide alone."

The moment these words left his mouth, the entire guild's expressions changed dramatically.

Their eyes widened, mouths opening in shock, unable to speak.

After half a minute of stunned silence, emotions exploded.

"???????"

"Boss Ken, did I hear you right? Steve wants to clear the nightmare mode alone?!"

"Is that even possible?! I'm dreaming…"

"Slap me—I must be dreaming…"

"Does anyone believe this?!"

The guild couldn't accept that Xu Yuan was going to solo the nightmare dungeon.

Although they hadn't entered themselves, they'd seen enough on the world channel—testimonials from players who had struggled with the dungeon, describing how difficult it was.

Everyone knew how tough this dungeon was—yet Xu Yuan intended to clear it solo.

Ken wasn't surprised by their reactions. He shared their astonishment but kept his smile.

"Alright, let's wait for Steve to come back," he said. "Once he does, we can learn his strategy and clear easy and hard modes together."

The players finally realized Ken wasn't joking. Their boss was truly capable of this level of strength.

They exchanged looks, feeling a mixture of awe and disbelief—perhaps only one phrase could describe their feelings: *Lying groove* (a Chinese slang expression meaning "Wow," or "Unbelievable").

News spread quickly among the players—Xu Yuan was going to solo the nightmare dungeon.

They boasted among friends outside the guild:

"Our boss is about to clear the nightmare-level dungeon alone! Wait for the system prompt!"

"I told you, we should've entered early. Why is Steve going now?"

"When he finishes, we can use his raid to clear easy and hard modes!"

More players on the world channel joined the buzz, all talking about Xu Yuan's daring plan.

"Is Steve really going to solo the nightmare dungeon?!!!"

"Impossible! All zombies are fully armored with tools—how can he do it alone?!"

"Even the strongest players say it's too tough—how can Steve clear it alone?"

"Although Steve is strong, this is a nightmare dungeon, not Wither. It's impossible to do alone!"

"Yeah, last time Wither was beaten by a team—solo? Nope, not believable at all."

Despite their doubts, everyone secretly wondered: could Xu Yuan really do it?

Meanwhile, Xu Yuan was fully prepared.

He explained that soloing this nightmare dungeon wasn't out of arrogance but because he had already figured out how to clear it.

After gathering supplies, he entered the dungeon.

When he stepped inside, he noticed the sky hadn't darkened yet, so he first collected water from a nearby source—two buckets—then created an infinite water source on the ground.

He dug an 18×18 area, three blocks deep, and poured water along all four sides, letting it flow toward the center, forming a basin of water.

He then dug down into the center to create a platform—eight blocks long, five wide, and two high.

As the sky darkened further, zombie roars echoed around him.

Xu Yuan drank a stealth potion again, then continued working.

He poured water from one side of the platform to the other, gathering at the far right.

Next, he placed a noticeboard at the edge of the water source—stacked signs one block high, with a vertical sign at the front.

He poured magma into the junction of the signs, creating a trap.

Then, he dug into the ground beneath the platform, positioning himself in the middle of the initial 18×18 area.

He knocked out all the blocks around him, preparing for the upcoming battle.

When stealth wore off, the zombies immediately discovered him and rushed forward desperately.

Xu Yuan stood calmly, facing the oncoming zombies, and smiled.

"Welcome to the Death Zone! Zombies!"
