Miracle Summoner

Chapter 2450: -2350- [ Gorgon ]

This was, in fact, not surprising at all.

Although Rozen wasn't at full strength right now, one must remember—his Mind's Eye had already reached a perfected state.

It had transcended the divine realm, to the point where even Foreign Mana could be controlled and refined by him.

In the past, because fully unleashing the Mind's Eye placed an enormous burden on his brain, Rozen had never dared use it at full capacity. He had to rely on Gyokuto's power to temporarily suppress its intensity.

But now, with the sublimation of the Foreign Mana nearing completion and his brain domain developing at high speed, Rozen could gradually begin to wield the true power of his Mind's Eye.

With that power, which surpassed even the divine, Rozen had already completely seen through the Beast Goddess's every move—even events set to unfold several minutes into the future were already clear to him.

In addition, with the observational capabilities of his Heaven's Eye, the combined power of these two great abilities, plus the protection of Kinu and Gyokuto, Rozen now stood in an invincible position.

That was why Rozen wasn't boasting.

To him, the Beast Goddess's attacks could never land. She could only be reduced to a target dummy for him.

Of course, even if Rozen could ensure he wouldn't be defeated, that didn't mean taking down a goddess would be easy.

At the very least, relying solely on his talisman, Rozen had no way to inflict fatal damage on her.

In other words, although Rozen stood unshakably undefeated, he wasn't nearly as dominant as it might appear. Even though it looked like he was overpowering the Beast Goddess, in reality, he hadn't dealt her much actual damage.

With that in mind, this time, Rozen burned through over half of his stockpile of Water Element Talismans and Wood Element Talismans in a single stroke—summoning forth a great flood and sky-splitting thunder to unleash a devastating strike on the Beast Goddess.

However—

"This level of power…!"

With a roar soaked in hatred, the goddess, trapped within the flood and lightning, erupted with fury.

"Boom!"

Her Mystic Eyes suddenly flared with overwhelming brilliance and swept across the battlefield.

"Crack-crack-crack…!"

Instantly, all the water and lightning caught in the gaze of her eyes began to freeze, as though time itself had stopped.

They began to petrify at astonishing speed.

Yes—

They were turning into stone.

"Mystic Eyes of Petrification…!?"

Olga Marie cried out.

"That level of output…! They must be at least at the Jewel Rank!"

Da Vinci exclaimed in shock.

"A serpentine goddess with petrifying eyes…?"

Roman, too, seemed to realize something.

Naturally, Rozen did as well.

"This goddess… could it be—"

Rozen's brows furrowed tightly.

The flood and thunder that had swallowed the cedar forest were visibly turning to stone, transforming the entire forest into a stone jungle at terrifying speed.

"Bang!"

The Beast Goddess shattered the petrified floodwaters around her and burst free from within.

At the same time, her charred, scorched injuries began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.

This goddess appeared to possess abilities like immortality—such minor wounds meant nothing to her.

Rozen stared coldly at the Beast Goddess, who now hovered before him with her colossal wings fully extended.

Then he finally asked the question.

"Who are you?"

The goddess… smiled.

It was a terrifying smile.

"A foolish question," the Beast Goddess sneered.

"I am the goddess of beasts, the leader of the Three Goddess Alliance who descended upon this land called Mesopotamia. I am the mother of all beastkind. If not Tiamat, then who else could I be?"

The primordial goddess, the origin sea, the mother of all gods and beasts, the source of creation—Tiamat.

That was who the goddess before them claimed to be.

However—

"I've never heard of Tiamat possessing Mystic Eyes of Petrification," Rozen replied flatly.

"A serpent-haired, petrifying, immortal Beast Goddess… there's only one such entity I know of."

And she was not a Mesopotamian goddess.

In Greek mythology, there were once three sisters, each said to possess incredible beauty.

They were:

The eldest, Stheno.

The second, Euryale.

The youngest, Medusa.

These three sisters were once revered and worshipped by mortals, showered with adoration from across the world.

But later, the youngest, Medusa, incurred the wrath of the goddess of wisdom, Athena, and was cursed—falling from goddesshood and being transformed into a monster.

She was exiled to the Isle of Shadows, and her sisters, unwilling to abandon her, followed her there and made it their home.

Thus, all three were eventually seen as monsters, known to humanity as the Gorgon Sisters.

Human heroes, spurred by stories of the terrifying Gorgons, launched raid after raid upon the island, seeking to slay them.

To protect her sisters, Medusa fought back, slaying hero after hero.

With each kill, her strength grew—until she finally transformed into a true monster.

In a state of madness, she even devoured her sisters, fully becoming the Gorgon—literally, the embodiment of horror.

It is said that this terrifying Gorgon Queen possessed Mystic Eyes that could turn anything she saw into stone, a head of serpent hair, and a body soaked in supernatural power.

Her blood could both resurrect the dead and serve as deadly poison, making her effectively immortal.

And the goddess standing before Rozen now—by every possible measure—matched that description.

Which meant her true identity was obvious.

"You're not Tiamat," Rozen declared.

"You're Gorgon—the monstrous serpent-haired witch from Greek mythology, the terror of the Isle of Shadows."

That was her true identity.

"Don't even bother denying it." Rozen locked eyes with the serpentine goddess.

"If you were really Tiamat, then yes—you would have reason to hate the gods and this land. But you wouldn't have any reason to hate humanity."

In Mesopotamian myth, it was the Sumerian gods who sought to kill Tiamat, and it was the gods who used her corpse to create the earth—not humans.

Given that, Tiamat would have every reason to resent the gods and the world itself—but not humanity.

"Only Gorgon—the one persecuted by Athena, cursed into monstrosity, relentlessly hunted and hated by mankind, who was driven to madness and ultimately devoured her own sisters—would harbor such boundless hatred for humans."

Rozen stated this with absolute conviction.

"You are Gorgon—not Tiamat."

Upon hearing this, the Beast Goddess fell silent.

Only her eyes continued to burn—with infinite hatred.
