Chapter 1317: Bonding with the Gang (2)

Ding!

[You have obtained the active skill 'Basic Heal'.]

[You have obtained the active skill 'Basic Regeneration'.]

[You have obtained the active skill 'Basic Group Heal'.]

Splitting up the skill books he bought into two categories, Valyr briefly glanced at his three friends before absorbing one of the sets of skill books in one go.

Whoosh!

Unsurprisingly, a great wave of information swiftly bombarded his mind the moment he did so, forcing him to grit his teeth for a brief moment as he hadn't prepared his mind for the sudden influx beforehand.

Nevertheless, with the three being skills that he'd already learned and even upgraded to Rare grade while he was in his other identity, the pain he felt from the skills did not linger for too long.

'Next up, the skill that I should have grabbed alongside the other ones.' Taking in a deep breath as he allowed the mental strain brought about by the skills to subside, Valyr soon shifted his gaze towards the other set of skill books he bought.

Feeling a hint of nostalgia at the sight of the six stat-boosting skills before him, the young man did not hesitate to absorb them one by one, immediately gaining the knowledge necessary to boost a certain stat if he wanted to.

However, just like how the healing skills he picked up were something he already picked up back in his other identity, Valyr knew that the six skills themselves only served as a foundation for the skill he actually wanted.

Ding!

[Would you like to combine 'Robust Arms', 'Deft Hands', 'Astute Eyes', 'Astute Mind', 'Fleeting Feet' and 'Scholar's Sagacity' into one skill?]

[Note that combining all mentioned skill into one shall remove all of the previous skills.]

Confirming the prompt that appeared before him, the young man soon felt all of the knowledge he absorbed just now combine into something greater, briefly causing him to feel as if he'd gained the ability to tap into the deepest pockets of strength in his body.

Obtaining confirmation from the system that the six skills had successfully fused into the bread-and-butter skill [Limit Break], he then went ahead and allocated a considerable portion of his XP to max all of them out, feeling a twinge of pain while doing so.

'I should really find the time to head to an Experience Pit at some point,' thought Valyr as he proceeded to familiarize himself with the skills once more.

Seeing that the skills worked more or less the same way he remembered them, the young man eventually nodded in satisfaction as he briefly glanced between the trio and the

Reinforcement Elixirs he brought out.

"Around half of the sets left," muttered Valyr, faintly nodding as he felt the three start to give off a similar aura to how he did in his early days.

Finding a bit of happiness in the fact that he was able to help the friends that stuck with him through thick and thin in his past life, the young man continued to watch the three consume the remaining elixirs in silence.

With that, an hour unknowingly passed.

"...Gah!" Gasping for air as the effects of the final vial of elixir finally subsided within his body, Thomas shifted his gaze towards Valyr, only to find out that the young man had seemingly spaced out while the three of them were fighting for their lives.

Letting out a faint sigh at the sight, the man briefly looked at Meria and Lucques before proceeding to do a few movements to shake away the sensations that had wracked his body for the past hour or so.

Feeling even more strength course through his body now that he'd consumed the two sets of Reinforcement Elixirs, the man's eyes briefly widened in surprise before returning to normal. Thinking back to the sensations he had to endure for the elixirs to take effect, the man took in a deep breath before asking Valyr, "Did you know this was gonna happen?"

"The hot and cold sensations?" asked the young man in return, prompting Thomas to nod in

response.

"Of course," replied Valyr after that, giving his friend a slightly teasing smile. "How do you think I was able to pull off that feat the first time we sold beauty elixirs if not for that?" "Wait... that's how you did it?" asked Thomas back in slight disbelief, getting the feeling that his friend had only revealed part of the truth to him.

Though, as he took a look at his status screen and saw that all his stats had basically doubled because of the elixirs, the man did not hesitate to quash the doubt he had in his mind.

"So... how much did everything cost?" By the time Thomas had come to accept the fact that his stats were solidly at Rank 1 level, the man briefly thought back to the conversation they shared about setting some of their earnings aside.

"Around 5 gold coins in total, give or take," replied Valyr as he shrugged. "But it's fine if you guys only give me around 1 gold and 50 silver coins for everything each."

"Nah. You deserve more for the effort you put in to procure all of this for us," replied Thomas as he shook his head, only to then give the young man two gold coins. "I'm sure Meria and Lucques would also do the same thing."

"I wouldn't mind if they don't," said the young man as he gave Thomas a word of thanks, even though inwardly he was letting out a loud peal of laughter.

That was because he only spent around a dozen silver coins to obtain the materials needed to concoct the Basic Reinforcement Elixirs.

Aside from that, everything else was free thanks to the agreement he'd made with the Imperial Production Guild.

Discarding the thought of profiting from his friends aside, Valyr and Thomas watched as the siblings continued to go through the elixirs one by one, with each of them only having a couple of vials left before completing their sets.

"Oh yeah." Seeing that it wouldn't be long before the four of them could go ahead and do other stuff in the game, a thought suddenly popped up in Thomas' mind. "You told us back then that you were planning to create a guild, right?"

"Yeah." Valyr nodded. "What about it?"

"Well..." Thomas hemmed and hawed over the question for a bit before finally asking the young man what he wanted to ask.

"Would it be fine if I also added one of my friends to the guild?"
