Monarch of Blue Lock: Yoichi Isagi

It was the day after Team Z's win against Team X. They had heard about how badly Team V crushed Team Y 8-0. They were monsters. However, that was Isagi's least concern. He wanted to unlock his ability. He was too tired last night.

Isagi had made his way to the training room to hopefully get his private session, however on his way there, he bumped into Chigiri. He didn't plan on saying anything, Chigiri was quiet after all, but it seemed Chigiri had other ideas.

"Isagi, I was looking for you." Chigiri said, shocking Isagi.

"Me? What for?" Isagi questioned, turning to face Chigiri fully.

"Are you...a secret spy for Ego?"

The question was said bluntly, as if there was no problem with the question. Chigiri stood there with a stern face, obviously serious. While Isagi, on the other hand, was standing there in confusion.

"Where'd that come from?" Isagi asked, scratching the back of his head.

"You knew about my speed when we played earlier. How? I never said anything to anyone about my speed." Chigiri interrogated Isagi.

"Shit." Was the only word Isagi could think of. When he had told Chigiri to use his speed, it was in the moment. He hadn't thought about the rest of it. "I could see it in your legs. Your muscles were built in a way that I could tell you had trained them thoroughly." Isagi lied. Truthfully, he didn't know jack shit about that.

Chigiri stood there for a second, glancing over Isagi's face before walking off, not sparing any more words.

Isagi let out a sigh of relief before entering the training room. Finally, he could open his ability. Isagi opened his profile before selecting the ability card in his inventory. With a moments breath, he clicked open.

The screen switched to a diamond card.

'Borrow [Ultimate Ability]'

-The user can switch one stat of choice with another player they've played on the field with. The ability can be used once per half and last for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes are up, all stamina of the user will be drained. Requires the user to have over 50% of stamina at the moment to activate

"An 'Ultimate Ability'..." Isagi tapped his chin. "But sheesh, all of my stamina? That's taxing." Isagi sighed as he picked up a ball. "But I do want to know what it's like."

Isagi activated Borrow as a screen popped up.

Who would you like to switch to?

This made Isagi think even more. He could only use it once since he'd be drained of his stamina afterwards. After a few seconds, Isagi came to a conclusion.

"Shoei Barou, give me his shooting." He said boldly. Isagi wanted to see what it was like to be a striker built like him. Well, one part of Barou.

Isagi got up to a net as he took a deep breath. He had ten minutes to use Barou's shooting. He wanted to familiarize himself with it since he might use it in a game. Activating 'Perfect Touch', Isagi could see himself score in a variety of ways his old shooting wouldn't let him.

The nutmeg shot he did last game was nothing compared to now. Isagi opted for a strong kick to the top right corner as he smashed the ball. It launched into the goal faster than he expected, and it was incredibly precise.

Isagi would take the time to practice Barou's shooting style, thinking it might be key to defeating a future team.

Isagi sat at a cafeteria table as he ate. He had just took a bath and washed up to regain some stamina.

"I hate natto." Isagi complained as he stared at his side dish. It had gotten old, quick.

It was then when Isagi realized he could buy a steak with the one goal he earned. He didn't hesitate to run over and buy him one before making it back to his seat. His mouth drooled as he stared at the feast before him.

Before he could start eating, however, he heard footsteps behind him. Isagi turned around and jumped slightly as he saw who it was.

"Yoichi Isagi, just who I was looking for." Barou stood over Isagi, a glare in his eyes showing that he didn't want a friendly chat.

"Barou? What do you need?" Isagi asked, trying to mask the nervousness he felt.

"You and me, one on one." Barou said as he pointed towards a hallway leading to the training fields.

"Right now? I'm eating." Isagi replied, his stamina wasn't fully recovered either, only a quarter of the way.

"I can wait." Barou responded as he went and got his own steak, sitting across from Isagi as he started to eat, glaring daggers at the other.

Isagi sighed as he tried to eat calmly, though it wasn't easy.\

After the two ate, they were both in the Team X training field. Isagi had managed to get to 175 stamina after eating, so he was pretty confident.

"So, how's this going to go?" Isagi asked as he tied his cleats.

Barou picked up a ball as he went to the center of the field. "First to 3 goals. I want to start with the ball."

"3 goals. I wonder if that'd take over 10 minutes or not." Isagi thought as he followed Barou to one of the penalty areas.

"We're only going to use this one penalty box to keep things quick. I'm starting with the ball." Barou informed. He seemed rather calm to Isagi, but there was still an intensity that made him sit on edge.

The two got to the end of the penalty area as Isagi took a deep breath.

Barou wasted no time as he charged towards Isagi, his aggression apparent. "How'd you do it?" Barou spoke.

Isagi cocked an eyebrow as he took a step back. "What do you mean?"

"That damn shot." Barou rolled the ball over as he started to sprint to his right. Although he was speaking, he was perfectly moving. As if his body was moving on its own.

"It was just technique." Isagi responded, trying to focus on Barou's dribbling. "I've got to be on guard. Barou can shoot from anywhere in the penalty area and that's our whole playing field."

Barou gritted his teeth as he came to a sudden stop. "Bullshit!" Barou slammed his foot into the ball.

"I know this shot." Isagi dived as he slammed his head into the ball, causing it to hit the ground before bouncing high in the air. "He did the same in our game."

"There's no way a loser like you can just make a shot like that with simple technique. You're ranked #274 for fuck's sake!" Barou barked, the block fueling his anger.

Isagi stood, running to where the ball would land with Barou following right on his side. "Think what you want, Barou. It happened, that's reality." Isagi said as he activated 'Burst', zipping in front of Barou as he trapped the ball. He was currently in the corner of the penalty area.

"Just accept your loss!" Isagi activated 'Perfect Touch' as he kicked the ball. It curved roughly, just barely making it into the corner of the goal.
