Enamoured by the deep history, they soon awakened when the instructor, Ms. Cynthar, clapped her hands. "Alright, now enough of history. I believe you don't want to hear more boring stuff, so I'll start explaining in detail how the system works."

Taking a swig of water, she began.

"Our tier system ranges from 1, all the way to 9. Tier 10 are for those chosen by the Goddesses, no longer shckled by mortality. To advance each step, you can meditate using the mantra enlightened by the Goddesses. By completing tasks specific to your occupations, you can further accelerate your meditation, reaching the next tier faster and faster. Your type of species also matters, as elves, for example, tend to progress much slower compared to humans.

Now, to obtain the mantra, you must take your first step in acting what your designation tells you to do. For example, let's say you're an alchemist. By attempting to create a potion, you have taken the first step in acting your job. As soon as it has been deemed that you have done your job, a mantra is generated in your mindscape.

By meditating on the mantra, you can progress further on ascending the tiers. Doing actions befitting your job further accelerates your progress, such as an alchemist making more potions of the same rank, or a warrior killing monsters of the same rank. Please do note that if you do manage to accomplish a task a tier above your current one, you might die due to the risk of uncontrollable absorption.

Skills and Titles, on the other hand, can be obtained by doing various forms of actions.

For abilities, you can learn any type of ability, but research has proven that the closer the ability is to the occupation, the easier it is to gain it.

Titles, though, are gained by doing noteworthy actions. Suppose, for example, you have slain 100 Firolves by yourself. The title gained from it would be 'Bane of Firolve'. They give out corresponding benefits as well, such as extra strength, stamina, agility, etc. There is even the possibility of gaining obscure stats, such as charm. Boy was that an issue and a half!"

Feeling tired, she took another swig of water before finishing off.

"Ahem, before I forget, abilities and titles can be upgraded. They both upgrade the same way, which is through repetition of the act that gained you the title or ability. While all abilities can be evolved, the same could not be said for titles. Only some specific ones can be upgraded, and there are many of them. You can ask His Majesty for access to the Royal Library, of which I'm sure there is a catalogue of titles that can be upgraded. There is more that needs to be said, but for today, I believe that you've listened far enough. And with that, class dismissed!"
