Chapter 15: First Tier Achieved!
Three weeks pass by...
Although the large gaping hole in the roof has been fixed (thanks to Simon's piggy stash), this has led to Simon going almost bankrupt. To placate a very pissed (yet comical) dwarf, Lewis promised that he would offer his services to the Dwarf.
And boy did he regret it.
Thanks to the skill 'Hands of the Broken One', Lewis was able to provide services for Simon's shop. The extra finesse helped him create more tools for Simon's needs. Though they were all zero-levelled, their unique functions made up for them.
Some sprayed bubbles in the air, sporting different flavours, depending on your preferences. Some peppered naughty children who didn't do their work (causing many a parent to be glad, and many a children mad).
Yet the best one by far was the one that took pictures. This device had never been invented before, causing the masses to scramble for this tool. Sure, magic could do the same, but would magicians and wizards stoop to this level?
As Lewis continued creating level 0 tools, his progression onto tier 1 accelerated immensely. He could feel himself getting stronger and stronger, and this was not an illusion. Sometimes, when he was making tools for Simon, he broke them by mistake, as his strength had increased rapidly. His sight and dexterity also increased, yet for some odd reason, mana was never generated.
Feeling odd, he still decided to ignore it, for science is the eternal truth!

"...and thank you, dear boy, for this wondrous gift! That unruly bastard of mine finally studies for once! Although it's very finicky to use, it still does its job. Take these extra 45 silver coins as a tip! Goodbye!"
Waving off his felt top hat, Mr. Bonova left the shop, happy that this quirky 'invention- had finally made his son learn. Feet dancing, he jigged his to the carriage, heading home.
Ahh, another happy customer, and another happy addition to the Goldie Family! *Muah*!
Kissing the gold coin, Simon deposited it inside his very own 'Simon' bank. Made from heavy-duty steel and lined with orichalcum (Holy shit, was it expensive!), he danced his way inside, glad that today he finally managed to clear his outstanding balance for fixing the roof.
Ahh, the sweet, sweet scent of money! One tiny, tiny, tiiiiinnnnnny step closer to the Moon. I wonder how Lewis' doing...
As he went to the back room, he called out to Lewis. "Hey Lewis, I've finally paid off for the st-"
He stopped right there, shocked.
What is this!? What the fuck is this!? What the asggdgdhjed!?
There sat Lewis, deep in meditation. Though it did not seem that anything was wrong, Simon knew otherwise.
He knew that Lewis was about to ascend to tier 1.
What the fuck is this!? This is supposed to take months, even years, to ascend one tier!? How the fuck is he doing it in, what, 2-3 weeks!? This doesn't make any bloody sense!?
He could only watch in despair as Lewis created the first node in his body.
His body slightly glowing, Lewis opened his eyes.
"What? What's wrong?"
