Chapter 28: Library Of Alexandria (I)
Standing shocked, Simon did not say anything. It's not that wouldn't.
It's that he couldn't.
He could not believe his ears. The Duncan Argelam himself, entrepreneur and proud owner of Silvertree Consortium himself, has decided to join their mission to the Moon itself.
As Simon was dancing in delight, Lewis on the other hand was skeptical. Skeptical that such a famous being decided to humble himself into joining their venture.
"What's your plan, elf? A man of your stature should not entail joining this small project of ours. What's your deal here, huh?"
Looking down on Duncan, Lewis interrogated the elf. Holding both hands in the air, Duncan tried to reassure him. "Look, I just got inspired by the burning passion of the dwarf. I mean, in both lifetimes of mine–"
""Wait, you reincarnated as well!?""
A sudden scream shocked Duncan into a stupor. Shit, I said too much...
Bracing for the inevitable, he was shocked to see a very stunned human and a star-struck dwarf. "Umm, you're not gonna be scared?"
Simon broke the silence. "Uh, he got summoned here as one of the heroes, but they kicked him out cause he was too weak. Oh yeah, forgot to say his name. Uhum, he is the mighty Simon Brown, ex-ESA Head of Engineers—"
"Wait, YOU'RE Simon Brown! THE Simon Brown! Omigoshomigoshomigosh..."
Seeing a fangirling macho man nearly made the duo puke in disgust, but they settled it down and asked the important question. "Wait, you know him?"
Realising what he was doing, Duncan stopped in his tracks. "Are you kidding me!? He was, and still is, my idol! Despite losing everything, he never gave up on his dream! I wanted to be just like him, but I lost my life at the end. If it wasn't for that damned brat..."
Looking to the side, Lewis began pondering. "Hey, what was your name back then?" Duncan looked up, confused. "Katsumata Yūto, why?"
His eyes glowed. "The child prodigy? I heard that you were killed in a car crash, in a drunk driving accident. The forensics determined that you were jaywalking as the car killed you..."
Flabbergasted, Duncan vehemently denied this accusation. "What, no!? I tried to save a child as a truck came barrelling towards her. Was she safe? How's she doing—" Lewis interrupted him.
"Duncan, there were no remnants of a child's presence there."

"Anyways, we'll deal with this issue later. The water here runs top deep. So, how will you provide the necessary machines needed to build the parts for the rocket ship?"
"Oh, I didn't say I have them. I said that I have the knowledge to build them. But the thing is, I'm not an engineer, so I can't build it, and blacksmiths are too dumb to build it to the precise measurements."
"Wait, wait, wait, excuse me? But then, how are we supposed to build our rocket ship. You promised—" Simon began spluttering in panic, but was quickly interrupted.
"I said I have the knowledge, and this is because of my skill:
The Library of Alexandria."
Behind him, a huge door materialised, made of aged bronze and brass.
