Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 413: Mountain Climbing.

The building was truly large. It covered a large area of land. From a look, Arthur could tell that it was nearly a kilometer in length and breadth.

Compared to its length and breadth, its height wasn't that impressive. It was only a third of a kilometer tall. Arthur wasn't sure what its exact height was, but he estimated that it was at least 300 meters tall.

When they went through its large door, they realized that the whole building was a single room. It had no floors within it.

They also saw that the only thing within the building was a small mountain. The mountain itself was divided into various sections based on color.

The mountain had four sections with the colors brown, red, yellow, and white, respectively. There happened to be a building at the top of the mountain. Many people were on the mountain trying to reach its top.

Thor said, "I guess the inheritance should be at the top of the mountain."

Arthur looked around and said, "Let's go ask someone what is going on."

Not everyone was on the mountain. Actually, most of the people in the building were at the foot of the mountain. Only a few people were on the mountain, and even fewer were close to the top of the mountain.

The disciples of the various sects had arranged themselves in groups around the bare of the mountain. Arthur located the group of the disciples of the Blood Skull sect and went in their direction.

They went specifically to meet Jason. But along the way, they met Leroy and Princess.

Leroy only nodded to them in greeting, but Princess had to say something. She had too many unpleasant things to say and couldn't keep them bottled up within her body.

She sneered at Thor and said, "You won't be able to cheat here. If you dare, come up the mountain and let me see what you're good for."

Leroy sighed and dragged her away towards the mountain. Then the two of them began ascending it. Even then, she kept looking at Thor provocatively.

Either she wasn't convinced by his strength, or she didn't mind taking another beating even though she was convinced. Either way, Thor couldn't take her provocation lying down.

He said, "Just you wait until I beat you up next time."

She didn't back down either. She said without fear, "Do your worst."

Arthur chuckled when he saw their interaction. He found it to be amusing, but he didn't say anything.

The two of them went over to Jason. After reaching them, Arthur asked, "Why are you down here, not up there with Goldwyn?"

Jason gritted his teeth and said, "It is because the trial is too difficult. I couldn't bear it, so I came down."

Thor asked with interest, "What's difficult about it? Can I solve it with my golem?"

Jason shook his head and said, "You can't use a golem that is beyond the second mortal coil. It will shut down as soon as it enters this building. You also can't use space rings and space pouches in this building."

Thor didn't believe him. So he tried to activate his large golem.

The eyes of the golem lit up with rainbow colors as it was awakened. But then it began to spasm. Thor had to deactivate it for fear of damaging it and causing an explosion.

Jason explained to him, "There is a large energy level and spatial ban in the building. These bans are mainly concentrated on the mountain, but they will activate if the formations sense anything disrupting their operation within the building."

"In the past, only people at the second mortal coil could ascend the mountain and attempt to get the inheritance. But over time, the formations have weakened, so people at the early stage of foundation establishment can also try it. However, the ban on anything above that and spatial means is still serious."

Arthur said in awe, "So the power of the ban has weakened in general. But how come you guys that are cheating still haven't gotten the inheritance yet?"

Jason sighed and said, "It is because the difficulty of climbing the mountain scales with cultivation. The stronger we are, the stronger the difficulty of the trial."

Arthur looked up at the mountain at the sight of people struggling to climb it and said, "It seems while the mountain can't expel you cheaters directly, it is not reconciled and has its ways to make you fail."

Jason chuckled and said, "Exactly. But anyway, having more life seeds is always better because of the extra energy."

"No matter how unwilling the mountain is, only us disciples at the third mortal coil have been able to reach the white section. So I think it is the fault of the ruins for making its trial too difficult for people at the second mortal coil. They clearly stand no chance of getting the inheritance."

Thor urged him, "Please don't keep us in suspense anymore. Tell us how to climb the mountain."

Jason shook his head and said, "Don't be in such a hurry for punishment."

Then he explained what made the mountain difficult for them. After his explanation, Thor and Arthur decided to give it a try.

The two of them walked over to the mountain. They didn't feel anything as they got close to it. But as soon as they placed one foot on it, a heavy pressure fell on them.

It was as if the weight of the world had fallen on them. The change was so abrupt that their bodies couldn't help but bend and hunch over.

They struggled to straighten themselves, but the pressure didn't disappear. The immense pressure continued to press down on them, so it became very difficult to take their next step.

But as bad as things were, it couldn't compare to how bad things got when their other foot landed on the mountain. The pressure they were experiencing doubled immediately.

The pressure was so great that Thor grunted and said, "I see why this is so difficult."
